Widescreen doesn't mean taking over your desk. The X163Wb from Acer is a 16" widescreen with a 1366x768 resolution. Its compact size makes it a great choice for small spaces. It has a 500:1 contrast ratio and a 250cd/m² brightness rating.

Exactly what I needed.
- Pros: Good size, sharp screen, no-brainer setup.
- Cons: Almost too small to run as a main screen, but that's not why I bought it. Tilt sucks.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this as a second screen for my gaming computer. It's the perfect size for what I needed, and it compliments my 21" Acer LCD very well. I've been running CRT's up until 6 months ago, but now I can't go back. Great product.
Good monitor, funky resolution
- Pros: Clear image, VGA, Widescreen
- Cons: The resolution it uses is kind of funky. Make sure your video card supports its 1366x768 resolution.
- Other Thoughts: Acer is a great brand (or at least it is at the time of this writing). The monitor isn't as small as people make it out to be. I have a 15.4 inch wide lcd on my Acer Aspire 5100, and this monitors screen is SLIGHTLY shorter than my laptops, but its MUCH wider. If you are used to 15 inch screens, this monitor will be just fine.

It's a cheap screen
- Pros: Good screen, no dead pixels, doesn't take up much space.
Played nice with Ubuntu Linux.
No surprises (received what Newegg described)
- Cons: None.
Working well
- Pros: Bright picture, low price
- Cons: The stand is a little cheap - that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars
- Other Thoughts: If the price is right - buy it
Small is Nice
- Pros: Small footprint, unobtrusive. Incredibly light weight for moving around when building or diagnosing other systems.
- Cons: Shallow viewing angles and control buttons aren't the most intuitive.
- Other Thoughts: I'm using this for a home audio PC where I only needed something to display about thirty presets for internet radio stations, and a few folders for different music categories. I wanted it to be small so that it wouldn't stand out noticeably from the mATX case and 2.1 speakers arranged on a compact end table, and to that end it fills the role perfectly.
Other people have noted problems attaining the native resolution, and I suspect in most cases it's because of inadequate integrated graphics, or outdated graphic cards. Mine is paired with an XP system using a modest Radeon 3450. Went right to the control panel display icon, clicked on settings, and moved the slider to the correct 1360 X 768 resolution. Done deal.
