Pros: Looks nice, touch interface and 1080p
Cons: I was very, very close to buying this monitor and one of my friends mentioned the contrast ratio might not be not as high as they say. In the specs Acer lists the contrast ratio as 20000:1, turn out it's only 1000:1. The DYNAMIC contrast is 20000:1, which is almost never used, otherwise it's 1000. They should have at least made it clear that was the DCR and that the actual static contrast was 1000:1, I'm disappointed with Acer for doing that and I ordered a different monitor
Other Thoughts: I know people will mark 'not helpful' on this review because I don't actually own the monitor but I think people need to know about this before they buy the monitor thinking it actually has a 20000:1 contrast ratio.

Pros: No dead or stuck pixels in the one I received, higher resolution than other similarly sized monitors, good pixel pitch, excellent black levels for an LCD (better blacks than the CRT I switched to this from), attractive glossy case/bezel, 16:9 aspect ratio ideal for hooking up to a console and for watching any media formatted for a 16:9 display, OSD (On Screen Display) menus are well laid out and easy to navigate, sharp picture and vibrant colors, comes with cables for each of the displays inputs (they aren't fancy cables, but just the fact that they included all of them is nice). The monitor has one DVI, VGA, and HDMI input. Because of that it's possible to have three different devices hooked up at the same time, and thanks to input switch button on the monitors control panel you can change between inputs without having to fiddle with wires. HDCP support ensures that you'll be able to playback any HDCP protected content provided you have a video card that also supports it.
Cons: The monitor uses a 6-Bit TN Panel with Hi-FRC, so there are some color banding issues. Color banding is only really noticeable when a light color transitions to a dark color (such as a glowing effect that fades into a black background or into transparency), however transitions from one bright color to the next are pretty much seamless. Videophiles will want to look elsewhere, but the vast majority of users won't notice the banding under average viewing conditions. The 5ms response time is respectable and good enough for most situations, but it does introduce some visible ghosting during fast motion (quickly panning your view in an FPS game, or scrolling across the battlefield in an RTS game -- it can also be seen in movies from time to time but they are largely unaffected), but it's not a huge issue. Touch controls can occasionally be unresponsive.
Other Thoughts: The built-in 1W speakers are useless to 99% of users, but since it's a optional feature there's no harm in having them there. You can't even see them as they're hidden inside the monitors case so they don't detract from the aesthetics of the display. There is some minor backlight bleeding around the edges of the screen, but it's not bad enough for me to list it as a con. It's barely noticeable even when the screen mostly displaying black. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. This is my first LCD, and while there are some drawbacks to LCD technology compared to CRT's I'd say the pros outweigh the cons. CRT's still have the upper hand when it comes to color reproduction (even compared to 8-Bit LCD panels) and response times, but large CRT's are heavy and energy hungry (my 21" weighed 70lbs and ate 145W of juice -- compare that to this LCD and you see the problem). LCD's have a sharper picture overall and have the obvious size, weight, and energy advantages among other things.

Pros: its a great monitor for the price. i got it at another store becuase of CA waste fees/tax. but for everyone else who is not in CA newegg is a great place to get it.
mine came with no dead pixels, and it has dvi , hdmi and vga and includes thee cables for it. it even has 2 small speakers which allow it to sort of be a TV for any hdmi devices if you need it for that.
Cons: the touch panel takes some getting used to at first but its not a huge deal. it does look a lot more slick with that design.

Pros: Six months later, this is the second purchase of this monitor. This one as a Birthday present. Whew, it has turned out to be OK and no dead pixels. Great touch controls were strange to my sister. Great for laptop projector.
Cons: Invalidates that cliche " to good to be true"! Speakers are for computing sounds not music.
Other Thoughts: Get it while the getting is good! My sister says there will be a fight to try and take this monitor away from her now!

Don't know about color banding but this thing is nice

Pros: It's big for my standards but not so big you will loose an eye or something. Has 1080P. Has HDMI input. These are both what I required in my new monitor. It looks nice so if you want a nice looking monitor for your desktop then consider this one.
Cons: Okay, having an average understand of these new lcd(lol) I don't if they are all this way but, I had some trouble with running my lcd tv with HDMI and this monitor through vga together. I don't know if it is a limitation of my old radeon 3870 or if it is a function of the monitor. Not going to take an egg off for me being dumb and unable to get what I need done.
Other Thoughts: I don't know what color banding is but I am not getting what the other reviewer was talking about with the glowing affects. Mine seems to work great. The contrast ratio is spot on for my low light living quarters.(no centrally located light on ceiling, stupid apts have to use lamps) I didn't buy this from the egg, I bought it for the same price at a military PX so I saved shipping and tax. I really didn't see the difference in a 5ms and a 2ms response time. Maybe its just me. All in All I would def recommend this nice lcd to anyone. Thanks
