5 out of 5 eggsDurable and inexpensive

Pros: I've had this monitor for a little over 4 years, and it's awesome. The picture quality is superb, and for the price I don't think it can be beat.

Cons: The power button is pretty weak. This model is notorious for broken power buttons. Not very problematic overall though. Speakers are also pretty weak, but I'd say they're relatively unimportant. I've used the speakers on the thing for a grand total of 2 hours in 4 years/

5 out of 5 eggsGreat picture, reliable, and a low cost

Pros: Vibrant colors and keeps up with all the games I've played.

Dependable

Cons: Power button stopped working.

Slightly bulky.

Other Thoughts: This is one of the better purchases I've made in electronics. I've lugged this thing up and down stairs, in and out of cars, back and forth, up and down...it's seen some abuse. For years now. And it's still going strong and still look beautiful.

The only downside is the power button's early departure from this world. It still lights up but doesn't activate the monitor. Not a big deal for me since I sleep my computer's display after a few minutes of inactivity.

I got it for $130ish about four years ago and, looking back, I'd have paid $500 to know I'd get this solid of an experience. Acer - you've got a loyal customer! Good job!

5 out of 5 eggs4 years and still strong

Pros: Workhorse, never a problem - always a great picture.

Cons: None to speak ok

Other Thoughts: This is what you hope you get out of all electronics purchases; a good value, a good product, and durability. If you can pick one up used, you'll be pleased.

3 out of 5 eggsJust flawed enough to not be worth the price

Pros: Still works after having it a couple of years and almost never turning it off.

Picture quality is great when using the DVI port.

Cons: Picture won't stretch to the corners of the monitor if I use an HDMI cord. Searched forums to find out it's a defect with the entire line and workarounds don't work for everyone.

Speakers are horrid. Buzzes and vibrates and the only way I can stop it is to squeeze the top of the monitor with my hand.

Won't dim anywhere near as far as I want it to. Brightness at 'zero' is still rather bright.

Other Thoughts: My options were limited when I bought this, as I needed the cheapest flatscreen 1080p monitor I could find. I now wish I had waited and found something else.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going!

Pros: 3 years old, put through abuse, and still works like a champ. no dead pixel, no lines, runs like new.

Cons: None, not even going to complain about speakers. Really? Who uses monitor speakers anyways?

Other Thoughts: The only reason I'de get rid of this monitor is if I had 3 3D monitors, which probably won't happen. Even if I had one and a touch screen, I'd still use her. Till the wheeles fall off....

5 out of 5 eggsBest Monitor I Have Ever Owned.

Pros: I bought this monitor back in early 2009 and it has been the best monitor I have ever owned. It has always been very dependable even after throwing it in the back seat of my car to move out of my parents house. It's a shame it's been discontinued but that's the way of technology.

I've used it mainly for power computing and gaming and could never have been more pleased. I wish i had bought two more back in the day so I could have back-ups after the model was discontinued but hey, the one I have is still going strong with naught a problem yet.

Cons: Some back-light bleed-through which can be noticeable at times but not even close to being enough for me to deduct any love for the product.

The monitor will switch inputs if no signal is detected. This can be mildly annoying if you are hooking something like a game console to it and you switch inputs on the monitor before turning on the console. The monitor will cycle all the way through until an input is detected. Just make sure you have the device connected and on before switching inputs.

Other Thoughts: The touch-sensitive buttons may not be for everyone, but in my experience, once I had the monitor set up to my liking I rarely had to interact with them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Very nice picture over months of use.

Cons: Power button must have broken behind
It because now I cant turn it off, so
I have to leave it in powersave mode.
Not happy as getting it fixed would be
Too much hassle so I live with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Great display, vibrant colors, 9 months of near-constant use on a comp that's very rarely turned off, and still looks perfect, also survived being knocked off the desk with no issues at all.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Tilt adjust could be better, it does tend to lean forwards after a week or so, takes less than a second to readjust so not really an issue but I have noticed it.
