5 out of 5 eggsFabulous Display

Pros: Great product, use with our power mac and are very pleased with the quality. 4 USB ports are large bonus

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: Very great display, especially with wall mount. Has great resolution and color display with screen space to spare.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother satisfied customer

Pros: - 2048x1152 resolution is awesome, display is beautiful; great contrast, great response time, etc.
- Uniform bezel thickness (great for Eyefinity), also a fairly thin bezel considering the size of the monitors.
- I've been running Acer monitors since I had my first computer, incredibly reliable. Out of the 5 Acer monitors I've owned, only one has had a dead pixel, and thankfully its none of these.
- Great monitor stand, even though I'm not using it.

Cons: - Heavy. I have them all mounted to Ergotron MX desk monitor mounts, which is the only way I'd recommend going if you plan on getting a 3rd party mount. It's a shame that my desk isn't big enough for the included stands, as they are very nice.
- No displayport. Not a big deal, the current selection of displayport enabled monitors is pretty limited and overpriced anyways.
- Terrible internal speakers, but if you are getting a monitor in this price range you should just pony up the money to get a speaker set.

Other Thoughts: I purchased 3 of these to run in an Eyefinity setup, they all work just fine, but you will need an active displayport to DVI adapter to run Eyefinity. I am using an Accell displayport to DVI dual link adapter which works just fine. Gaming will never be the same once you have played an Eyefinity enabled game on these! Also very happy about being able to run Cubase at 6144x1152 resolution, finally enough space for all the plugins!

For those wondering, the monitors take a 100mm x 100mm VESA mount. The description only states 'VESA mount,' which can be confusing as there are multiple sizes and monitors of this size are usually 200mm x 100mm.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Purchase

Pros: The monitor is large. The perfect size in fact. Prior to buying the item I contemplated on spending 300 to 400 more dollars on other monitors, including the LFD 30" Apple Cinema Display.

So, I bit the bullet and purchased this guy.

I opened it, plugged it in, and it worked great.

As a graphic designer, the colors were great - including contrast, brightness, and gamma.

Everything was jaw dropping good.

1. It's large!
2. It's bright, great contrast, and excellent colors.
3. Setup was a breeze.
4. Amazing resolution.
5. Great price.
6. nice selection of port options (1 hdmi, 4 usb, 1 dvi etc...)
7. Positioning is great, easy to rise and lower, very smooth.

Cons: 1. Bulky
2. Will the brightness die after a year or less of use?
3. Consumes a lot of power. (typically when devices have their own power supply, you know it "takes" a lot)
4. Speakers are like laptop speakers...

Other Thoughts: If ACER wanted to make more money off this product, they need to think about design.

Less bulky, less thick, better materiel, lighter weight, more display space and less frame.

I'd spend an extra 70 or so bucks if they had an upgraded version of this.

4 out of 5 eggsLove It!

Pros: This is a great monitor - the best I've ever owned, and LOT cheaper and better than that 20" CRT monitor I sprung for back in 2001. :o) In fact, this monitor was cheaper than the last LCD I purchased ... a 22' 1/2" back in 2007.

I absolutely love this monitor ... at 2048 x 1152 it's about the size of two 19" 4:3 monitors side by side. Three inputs is perfect - I'm running my docked laptop via D-Sub, my Gaming rig via DVI-D, and my PS3 via HDMI.

Hands down, the best tech purchase I've ever made.

Cons: The speakers really are pathetic. They sound like a tin can AM radio. I guess this isn't really a con since anyone willing to splurge on this monitor probably is willing to spend another $50-80 for a serviceable pair of speakers

Other Thoughts: I gave this a 4 rating, but only because there is no option for a 4.5. There are better LCDs out there, like the 30 inch version, but I don't think you can beat this performance at this price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor!

Pros: This is by far the best monitor I've ever owned. Fantastic color quality, everything is nice and crisp. Love having it be able to rotate side to side, move up and down as well as tilt. Had to buy a D-Link cable but that isn't a huge issue. One thing that others don't realize is that this monitor only takes up 65W max when on. That's something I really appreciate for such a huge monitor.

Cons: The box and monitor are huge. Can be difficult to move around if you LAN alot, though the gaming experience makes it worth it :)

Other Thoughts: I have alot of web-designer friends, I get many comments on the monitor asking if its S-PVA or ISP. Get alot of 0.o faces when I say TN. Good for gaming, and suprisingly clear for any TN monitor. Money well spend by far. One thing I love about this is the 16:9 with the high vertical rez still. Between 2048x1152 and 1920x1200 you only lose about a single line of 11pt text, while keeping a great aspect ratio for media. Fantastic!

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but not reliable

Pros: Huge. Beautiful display. I am using one on my desktop and it is really wonderful. Bright and clear. Perfect resolution for the size. Have bought six for a signage project.

Cons: Have had three of the six go dim after 3 to 6 months of use. Others look great. Working on getting these fixed under warrentee.

Other Thoughts: I would by more. I have bought more in fact. The price to performance ratio is just to dang good!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Monitor!

Pros: Very bright, clear, and large.
High resolution
Tilts, raises, and turns.
Side USB Ports

Cons: No source button to manually switch between HDMI, DVI, and Analog; but I only wish I had that occasionally.
Speakers are kind of useless, don't expect them to be your only speakers, unless you are desperate.

Other Thoughts: Amazing monitor, I highly recommend this monitor to anyone!
I can't really use the side USB ports, because they are right up against my desk. I could choose to move them out, but I have ports on the top of my case, so I don't really mind.

5 out of 5 eggsBig, Bright - JUST BUY IT!

Pros: Love it, blindingly bright at night with factory defaults, but just needs a little tweeking. Highest resolution for a large monitor in this price range, excellent value. No dead pixel issues. Mine did come with an HDMI cable as well VGA and DVI.

Cons: The only thing I have a slight issue with is the monitor is slightly tilted on the stand, maybe a couple of degrees to the right. I haven't looked at it further yet, but I'm sure it can be corrected. Not a big deal

Other Thoughts: I have Win7 machine, using HDMI there was no set up at all, resolution is automatically set to max. Just plug the cables in, make sure the monitor is on before powering your PC and there is nothing else to do. Also - this should be obvious, but, monitor is BIG. Check the measurements make sure this is what you want. I'm upgrading from a 24" CRT, so I had a good idea of the size, I love it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Screen Brightness is excellent, best resolution offered in 27in models. Good refresh. No Dead Pixels. Reasonable price

Cons: Same bit of light bleed on the edges that I have seen on most LCDs

Other Thoughts: I have this hooked up to a ATI 5870 along with a 22in Samsung in Big Desktop mode. Games look great good running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and Ubuntu 9.04 looks crisp. Considering ordering a second one for massive desktop.

5 out of 5 did I not already have one.

Pros: What a hit for Acer's Biz line. Great resolution, excellent color spectrum, simple menus, great connections, hight adjustable stand, USB ports, relatively slim bezel, no dead pixels.

Cons: No HDMI cable included, dispite Newegg's graphics. Come on guys, update these! Doesn't have displayport. No swivel on the monitor. The stand doesn't raise very does move, but not a lot. It only has 6-foot cables. I still don't know why 10ft isn't standard. This monitor is practically 6ft around!

Other Thoughts: This monitor works great for just about everything. I use it for lots of remote management and monitoring, and you can have many, many windows open simultaneously. The resolution slightly higher than 1920 you will get with most large-formate monitors gives you two 1024x768 screens without overlap! Fantastic screen and what a GREAT value.
