Great for Everything
- Pros: Beautiful resolution, great for gaming and great for playing PS3 on through the HDMI port. You can tell a big difference in games with a duel-link dvi cord. Colors are great and I am just pleased all around. I have tested this screen every which way and it looked wonderful watching Sunday night and Monday night football in HD off of NFL.com.
- Cons: Acer should send a duel-link dvi cord with it. Make sure you order and duel-link with it to get the maximum out of this monitor. I got mine for $10 through newegg.com
- Other Thoughts: Works great with my ps3. Looks great with windows 7 64-bit. Hope you have the same experience as I have had with this monitor!!
Excellent!
- Pros: High res, great viewing angle, good solid base, clean look. I have eight of these mounted on one wall in our Network Operations Center and four on peoples desks. If the 27" monitor is a little big for your taste the 23" version is also a great
- Cons: The picture looks best in the Graphics color profile. To change this press the e button on the monitor and then use the left and right arrows to change profiles.
nice, but too big
- Pros: Huge monitor, great resolution. Adjustable stand is nice too.
- Cons: It's too big for the supplied resolution. Get a pair of 23" monitors at the same resolution each and you can have twice the working space at less cost.
Although the size is very attractive at first, I now feel that after owning this monitor a few weeks the price is unjustifiable for those who do computational work, not gaming.
- Other Thoughts: I have this monitor on one sytem and a pair of 23" 2048x1152 on another system. The dual configuration is better in terms of work productivity and cost less.
The larger size effectively provides lower resolution (i.e. less pixels per inch) and is actually difficult on the eyes if you sit close to the monitor.
It's a good monitor, but not suited for computer work. It would probably kick some tail if used for gaming though.
