3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap. Forward tilt works pretty well and the horizontal viewing angle isn't bad. Didn't have any issues with response lag.

Cons: The color seems to have distorted as it aged, though it was never really spot on to begin with. All of the "modes" (movie, standard, etc.) just seem to tint it awkwardly in one direction or another.

One of the navigation buttons jammed randomly and rendered the menu unusable.

The vertical viewing angle is pretty mediocre.

2 out of 5 eggsAcer return policy is horrible...

Pros: I like the monitor. The price is nice.

Cons: I am having a pink "band" along the right side of the screen that extends out into the screen about 6 inches after about 7 months of use. I went to arrange for warranty replacement and Acer will not cross-ship a monitor to me. Their policy is to actually make a customer of a defective product send their unit for repair and be without a screen until it is returned to them AND to pay for shipping to their repair location.

Other Thoughts: I am hoping an Acer rep will see this post and help me. If not, I am hoping NewEgg will help me get a unit so I can work without interruption. I cannot be without a screen as I work from home. If no help is available for me, I would have to recommend to others NOT to buy this screen for situations where you must have a working screen. As an extra screen maybe you'll be OK.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good value for decent size.
No dead pixels and no trouble interfacing.
Decent manufacturers warranty.

Cons: Ordered 2, 1 has a problem with buttons. Not a huge deal since I dont fidle around with settings or use the power button. Just means they are not tested very well before they are packaged and shipped away. And I dont wanna go through the trouble of sending it back.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: None

Cons: Have owned this monitor for over a year, and always had the problem of colors looking very washed out. And lately, the monitor has developed a brownish hue, and no amount of adjusting will fix it. And it's also not very bright at all. The back-light stinks.

Other Thoughts: Don't but monitors from Acer.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Monitors

Pros: Nice looking, black matte finish, narrow bezels.
Tall, not wide... what's with all the 1920x1080s? Do you like having to page through your documents?

Cons: none found yet

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it

Pros: Crisp and good picture, colors are fine, and zero defects out the box. Frame on the screen is "slender" and perfectly unobtrusive with no gloss.

At 22" and $139, it's definitely a worthwhile buy. Tilt stand does work as the previous reviewer said, so that's good.

Cons: [no text, yup]

Other Thoughts: I like it! Buy this if you're looking for a low price but decently sized monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsFix Error

Pros: Just to correct my previous review, this monitor DOES have tilt adjustment. I noticed that some of the pictures on Newegg showed it tilted. Mine was stuck at first, but after applying some pressure it started to move. So I take back my earlier "con". I'd give it half an egg more if I could.

Cons: Monitor tilt adjustment was rather hard to get started.

4 out of 5 eggsEconomical, Decent

Pros: Meets all of the basic requirements for a computer monitor, at a very reasonable price. Clear, image, nice contrast. The framing around the LCD is narrower than my older AL2216W, approx half an inch.

Cons: Barebones. No tilt adjustment, so you'd better like 90 degrees. But you can get this monitor with tilt and height adjustment if you pay more.

Other Thoughts: Shorter than my older Acer fixed height monitor, so I had to stick a book underneath to bring it level (side-by-side). Much less expensive though. I'll happily live with it.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent enough

Pros: No dead pixels out of the box, which is awesome. Certainly a good enough monitor for my Grandmother who it was purchased for.

Cons: I don't know if it is just me but I can see the pixels on the screen when using it. Might just be me being used to using an LED-LCD TV in 1080p for a monitor, and I'm not used to seeing the desktop in a lower resolution. It was honestly the first thing I noticed about it when I turned it on.

Other than that the monitor is kind of a pain to get the color right on, the settings in its built in menu are pretty much useless. Took me playing around in the video card settings to get the colors right on it and even then I never really got rid of the pixelated look I first noticed though it was reduced somewhat.

Other Thoughts: For the price I paid it is a decent monitor, and I'd probably recommend it for people who don't plan on watching movies/streaming Netflix on their computer. If you are looking for something for videos, I'm not sure this is the monitor you want.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive, does what it's supposed to do, no dead pixels.

Cons: Made of cheap material, but what do you expect? It's ACER and the price was already low enough. Will not deduct an egg due to 'price vs quality'.

Other Thoughts: ACER has always done reliable products in the past and has not deceived me yet.
