The pocket-size Acer K Series is so small that you can project vibrant visuals from one hand. Despite its small size, this mini projector features high brightness, an intuitive UI, rich media functionality, and easy setup in various environments. Additionally, the Acer K Series uses a mercury-free LED light source to ensure longer lamp life while protecting the environment.

  • newegg Pocket-size, Radiant Display Ultra-light and portable, the K Series is convenient to bring anywhere! The projector casts high lumens brightness so you get vibrant visuals and better color saturation thanks to LED technology. The long lifespan of the LED lamp translates to big savings, while the absence of hazardous mercury or halogen gases means safer use for you and the environment.
  • newegg Effective, Mobile Usability The K Series may be small, but it is big in performance. The high contrast ratio enables projection of detailed text and visuals from a long distance on a large screen; Acer SmartFormat technology offers complete multi-format support for both 4:3 displays and widescreens; and with Acer Instant Pack technology, you can unplug the power cord right after the projector is turned off, and rest assured that no damage will be caused.

2 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Small, easy to ceiling mount, decent brightness.

Cons: Blue LED died at a little over 1000 hours. The tiny (1") fans are very noisy, and are not very effective. I opened the projector case and found some dust on the LED heatsinks, there are no filters on the fans. If the LEDs are good for 30,000 hours, why are they warranted for only 90 days?

Other Thoughts: I don't think these are good for long term, permanent installations, they generate more heat than the tiny fans can get rid of. Hopefully I can get repair parts for this. Back to my old school lamp projector. :-(

5 out of 5 eggsLove my pico projector

Pros: Small
Short Throw
Good Focus

Cons: Kind of Noisy
Speakers are Useless
SD card USB is pretty much good for pictures only (not movies)
Easily washed out by ambient light

Other Thoughts: I bought this thing because there was no place to put a television in my bedroom. Now my wife and I can watch an 80 inch screen on any open wall in the house. Picture is great (in fact, watching DVD's looks better on this thing than it did on my 1080p 52" Samsung HDTV simply because it's not as obvious that there are artifacts since the edges are more soft and the colors blend better). I was worried it would be a pain to focus but it's actually not even an issue. My Canon takes videos in the wrong video format so the Projector can't play movies off an SD card or USB. Not that I would bother since the speaker on the projector is junk and there's no audio output. Whirring of the fan can be annoying during quiet scenes, but for the most part disappears into the background.

In my opinion, for $280, this thing can't be beat. You may want to buy yourself a tripod though so you can square up the corners and adjust the height of the screen.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value Product

Pros: Excellent image quality with all the connectors.
Loads of connection options.
Very bright for such a small projector. It projects quality images even at such low native resolution.
Auto Keystone correction is really helpful.
This is an instant start projector. You don't need to be an expert to handle its features. User friendly software on board.

Cons: No audio out option. If you can stretch a bit, then go for Acer K130. I'll mod this projector with an audio out option soon for myself.
Relatively heavy and noisy. But that is not much of a concern.

Other Thoughts: I bought this projector after reading lots of reviews and talking to lots of projector experts. This projector is really worth its value. You don't need a projection screen to project quality images. I am very happy with the product and it meets all my requirements.

2 out of 5 eggs<1500 hour failure

Pros: Lightweight, decent initial brightness.

Cons: LEDs age quickly, noisy fan

Other Thoughts: I bought this 18 months ago for daily use, averaging 3-4 hours per day use. The blue LED's output has dropped drastically to almost nothing, red and green are okay, though I think the projector has dropped their output to try to maintain proper color balance, which it cannot.

5 out of 5 eggsQute the pocket dynamo

Pros: Bright enough to see without having to completely darken the room.
Very inexpensive option for occasional presentations.
*** Even used it as a substitute for 3 weeks when flat screen TV choked ***

Cons: While it may seem trivial.
Case does not have storage area for cables. Had to build small case for safe transport.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Small size and quality picture. I used it in our conference room with the lights on and window open and it was still usable on a white board. With the lights off it is amazing.

Cons: It could be brighter, but then it wouldn't be so small.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase, first time user

Pros: Very bright in dark room.
Inexpensive way to try projector in home theater.
Excellent picture quality even at this resolution.
Minimal bulb replacement like conventional non-LED projectors.

Cons: For the price paid NOTHING!

Other Thoughts: I paid $280 on Newegg special. I stayed away from projectors because I did not want to hassle with expensive bulb replacement. I bought this to go with an Optishot golf trainer and did not expect much from it because it was cheap and only 200 Lumens.

I was dead wrong; it is really great. I have all of our DVD's and Blu Rays ripped and stored as MKV's on HTPC and this thing projects them beautifully. It is more than bright enough (dark room). You can still see images fine in lit room but they are washed out of course.

Every once in a while you get a new gadget or toy that is fairly inexpensive and you are wowed by it; this is one of those items. I am throwing this up on a wall at 109" (only because that is what I have to work with currently and it does not look unclear, it is still very sharp and bright; I cant wait to see how it looks when I get it reduced to ~80".

You can not even buy a decent 27" LCD TV for this price. Buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little projector

Pros: The low price allows you to try a projector if you never had one before. Very small in size and with a case and lens cap. The image quality is good, just projecting on a wall, especially considering the resolution. Plenty of brightness even if it not totally dark. The led should last long without losing brightness. Decent video controls.

Cons: The speaker if useless (high distortion at max level which is not even that loud), they should have saved the cost of the speaker and added an audio output instead. The tripod metal thread needed to be super-glued back after the first use, as other have said it is not deep enough so I used a cardboard and still managed to extract the thread while tightening it, OK since I reinserted it. The fan is very loud if you use the high altitude setting (I disabled even if I am an altitude borderline the limit).

Other Thoughts: All in all the cons are minor and already pointed out by others, I was surprised by the high altitude fan noise but it does not appear to be heating up and I disabled it. I use it in the bedroom connected to a laptop and it is fun and really enjoyable.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Projects a great-looking 60" (horizontal) image, takes up almost no space, and has a long-lasting LED bulb.

Cons: The fan: it's pretty loud. I do all my listening with Sennheiser HD280 closed-ear headphones, and it's noticeable during anything resembling a quiet moment - but it's also never distracted me from whatever I've been watching. Without headphones, it's somewhere between a high-powered cpu cooler fan and a hairdryer.

The weird 854x600 native resolution: Windows won't output this. If I feed it 720p video, the projected image is smaller than the 800x600 one stretched to 16:9. Instead, I feed it 800x600 and use the AR options on the projector and media player.

Other Thoughts: It's 'watchable' once the sun goes down, but really needs a very dark room for the best picture. This is why I have a hard time believing people who say their 50-lumen pico projector looks great in a semi-dark room.
