5 out of 5 eggsGood Office Application Monitors

Pros: 21.5" LED
Good Lighting
Adjustable Settings
Available 2-3 Year after buying the 1st one

Cons: Bright Flashing Energy Saving Light - terrible complaint I know

Other Thoughts: Running 2 side by side and the bezel is 9/16" which isn't too wide for this price point. VERY THIN and LIGHTWEIGHT. I traveled 1200 miles with one and had no damage or dead pixels. Highly recommended. I do Light gaming and refresh rate is a little bit of an issue with Need For Speed. Hey I'm supposed to be working anyways.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: Very thin, lightweight. bought one, liked it, bought two more for a 3-screen/SLI setup.

Cons: 2/3 have a stuck pixel within 4 months. Power brick is difficult to hide. No VESA support (my fault for buying before checking), but even VESA adapters aren't stable with it's uneven backside.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent monitor for the price!

Pros: I bought this monitor on sale just yesterday. Even though I only payed for 4-7 business days shipping, it came today. Just one day! I was extremely impressed with the shipping time. On the actual subject of the monitor though, it makes a great primary display to hook up to my laptop and I'm sure I will be using it once I build my desktop. It came with absolutely no dead pixels so kudos to Acer on great packaging as well. The monitor is just the right size for my desk and has a very nice stand to attach it to. The upgrade from me going from my 1366x768 screen to a 1080p screen is massive and provides me with a great deal more work space. I received everything I wanted and more in purchasing this monitor.

Cons: The only things that I can think of are that there are no HDMI hookups or speakers, but I was not looking for either of those as I will be not be needing either of those things. The lack of tilt is also a minor issue, but the angle is just fine for me.

Other Thoughts: Easily worth the purchase, I'd recommend it to anybody I know.

5 out of 5 eggsMan, I love this thing.

Pros: SIZE- I prefer 21.5" over slightly larger screens because I like to lean in to be close to them. Having a larger screen causes me neck to hurt more, as I have to look around more.

IMAGE- The resolution is perfect for anything that I run. The color is also very well represented on this screen, and the brightness is top notch.

BUILD QUALITY- Dependable, sturdy construction, easy to assemble, and most importantly, no dead pixels. Also, EXTREMELY thin and light, which makes it super easy to transport.

Cons: none, i love it.

4 out of 5 eggsThin and Bright

Pros: Very thin
1080p resolution
Very light weight

This monitor will provide a very nice image at a nice resolution.

Cons: Very wide
Has a power brick
The DVI port is a single link DVI-D
Default setting is very bright.

The width of this monitor gets in the way in my dual monitor workstation. Would have preferred a non-wide screen but this monitor was $60 cheaper than the same resolution non-wide screen. Did not make sense to buy the other. I can live with the width.

The power brick is a pain. Also, the power cable that goes into the brick is proprietary. There is no excuse for this Acer! You should have just used the standard computer power plug for the brick. The only reason you did this is to ensure you get more money if the original cable is either lost or damaged some how.

Do not buy this monitor if you have to use DVI-I plugs. It will not support it.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a nice monitor. It provides a crisp clear image and is ideal for HD applications. Not idea for workstation application (unless you edit video) but it will work nicely. You will just need to adjust your other monitors to accommodate it.

4 out of 5 eggsBang for your buck.

Pros: -Very high quality picture
-5 ms (lower the better)
-Very good for multiscreen games

Cons: -docked an egg because the instructions are pretty bad. There needs to be more elaboration on how to attach the screen to the base.

5 out of 5 eggsIt shows me pornographical content.

Pros: Great. No dead pixels in two years. Always has served me well and I'm enjoying it to this day with zero problems.

Cons: * Screen goes to sleep while I'm watching a movie and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

* Have another Acer model LCD monitor as well and the color on the two are slightly mismatched. Not really a problem, but I'd keep an eye on that sort of issue.

* Can now see peculiarities and blemishes with my favorite pornographical stars and my NSFW collection of wallpapers are all required to be super HD, which takes up a lot of disk space.

2 out of 5 eggsDVI ports died

Pros: I bought two of these in 2012. These monitors were great for over a year. Cheap, light, nice enough image, can't really complain.

Cons: Both monitors I bought lost functionality of their DVI port. The first one crapped out about 6 months ago. I tried everything, even using different DVI cables... no good, only the VGA would work.
About two weeks ago, this same phenomenon occurred on my second monitor. Try as I might, I cannot get any kind of signal through the DVI port.

Now I have to run both monitors off their VGA ports and since I'm running both off an Ivy bridge on an ASRock Z77 I can use one VGA and the DVI is digital only (so the DVi-->VGA connectors don't work) leaving me with an HDMI-->VGA connector (degraded image?!).

Anyway getting the same issue in both monitors has been very frustrating. It must be a recurring issue if it happened first in one of my monitors, and then the other some time later.

Other Thoughts: Hope your DVI ports don't die since there's no HDMI on these.
