4 out of 5 eggsGreat screen, but does not handle fast swipe

Pros: HDMI in, USB 3.0 hub, VESA mountable, Built in speakers, Great quality all around. I have the monitor connected to PC via DVI and when the computer is idle and I turn on my Xbox connected to HDMI, the input automatically changes over.

Cons: Does not handle fast swiping (i.e. FruitNinja game or quickly killing an app in Win8). Long swipes edge to edge work until you decide to do it quickly. It will stop registering the touch. I was really let down by this. I contacted Acer support and the support team was willing to take in the device to troubleshoot, but they stated that it is most likely a limitation of the hardware.

Other Thoughts: Newegg always rocks.

5 out of 5 eggsAs advertiised

Pros: Great 10 point touchscreen with amazing detail.

Cons: seems to be a bit low on Chroma with no way to adjust. Bought it based on vibrant color in 21" version bought for a friend. Not sure why the 27" has such low Chroma and a slight yellow tint.

Other Thoughts: Still worth every penny (even though the newegg retail price is inflated over the manufacturer's web site price their sell price is consistent).
Nothing new, seen it on other products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat touch screen, but highly reflective

Pros: Pros: Large, good looking, touch screen works great with Windows 8.

Cons: Cons: Surface is highly reflective, just like any touch screen. If you do a lot of gaming or watching movies with the room lights on, it won't be as nice as a monitor that has more of a matt surface. The stand in the back seems flimsy. It appears to work, but it makes me worry.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!!!!

Pros: I love this monitor good quality i tried playing the piano with it and it was just awesome!.
just make sure you find the right color settings or it might look a little wash-out.

Cons: the onlything i didnt like about this monitor was the speakers they are worst ive had or heard but i dint buy it for the speakers but i still gave it 5 eggs

Other Thoughts: they couldve installed a better set of speakers or at least add a headphones conecction or no speakers at all, they are just horrible!! but since its a monitor and i bought it for its displays qualities and functionalities its cheap speaker shouldnt really matter.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible

Pros: The monitor itself is incredibly clear and crisp. It leaves the factory with the Brightness set at 100, but the on screen controls make it easy to lower to a more reasonable setting. Windows 8 auto detected the 10 point touchscreen and required no calibration. The inputs are good, including VGA, HDMI, and DVI. The monitor has a 3 port USB3 hub mounted on the left side (as you face the display). I mounted the receiver for my wireless keyboard and mouse in it, and it the display seems to have no problem handling it's low power requirements. It also has a 3.5mm audio input port for analog audio.

Cons: One thing I did have an issue with was getting the display to not look so "washed out". I tried altering the warmth, brightness, contrast, cycling through the presets, etc, but still the blacks looked washed out. I finally dinked around with my the color settings in my graphics driver (Integrated Intel HD 4000), and found a setting called "YCbCr". When I enabled this, it drastically improved the picture quality. The background pictures "popped" with color, blacks were black, gamma was perfect. I'm not sure if such a setting exists in Nvidia or AMD drivers, but for the Intel graphics this setting ended up being all that was needed.

The power button is placed really close to the up/down selection arrows, making it easy to inadvertently turn off the display, but thankfully once you get your settings dialed in you shouldn't need to alter them again (in theory).

My only complaint with the connections is that the power adapter is a 90 degree barrel/post connector, which makes the fit kind of awkward. If it had been straight I think it would be a better fit.

Other Thoughts: The speakers seem to be top mounted, and sound about as hollow as you'd expect from 2w monitor speakers, but if all you need is to hear the windows chimes when an error pops up, then they will suffice. Anyone wanting to play games, listen to music, or watch a movie should invest in a good pair of headphones or speakers).
The clear plastic bezel at the bottom is removable, and I think I might do that to lower the monitor to be slightly below eye level. This is really a design issue with my desk, and no fault of the monitor. In fact, I'm glad that they offer the option to remove it. Giving the option makes it work for a variety of installations. The VESA mount in the back is 100mm, and includes a small plastic cover to cover the hinge when you remove it.

5 out of 5 eggsAcer T272HL Touchscreen

Pros: I Replaced my 28" Hann's G monitor with the Acer Touchscreen and absolutely am delighted with it. Vibrant colors, Plug and Play. and gorgeous Hi Tech style. Works like a charm. The virtual keyboard is great for the hunt and peck typing. It is a super addition to Windows 8

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Have been a purchaser for many years ands I am still amazed at the prices and super quick shipping. I ordered the monitor on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon it was delivered to my house. I have never been disappointed

5 out of 5 eggsAcer T272HL

Pros: It's a thing of beauty! Upgraded from a Viewsonic VX2640w which was the all singing all dancing thing when I bought it way back when. The Acer is so much thinner than that, and the screen far more responsive. Although it's not 3D, it has far more depth than the Viewsonic. Connected via DVI cable to a Sapphire Tech HD6900 with 2Gb RAM , haven't yet connected the USB cable to the tower, mainly because that involves installing a SATA card to free up a USB 3.0 port and right now because I don't yet have Windows 8 64bit on my PC, it's in the 'to do' list! Didn't have to use the Acer configuration screen at all, everything just works!
Comes with all the cables you'll ever need, and them some. Standard D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, green audio, USB, power cable (two part, with a brick).

Cons: Haven't actually found any yet.

Other Thoughts: The stand at the back is quite difficult to pull out (small female here!) and I thought tugging it might break it, but it didn't. The User Guide talks about a monitor power indicator, which I don't actually see, if it's on the front of the monitor, it may not be working, but if it's on the back, then I can't see it. Folks who have reviewed the smaller version say the USB cable is unique to Acer so it would be difficult to replace. HUH? It's a standard USB 3.0 cable - at least in the 27" monitor. Not difficult to replace at all, NewEgg have thousands of them!
I didn't actually buy this from NewEgg, because at the time I ordered it, they weren't listing it, just the smaller one, but if they'd had it, I certainly would have ordered it from them.
