3 out of 5 eggsNo VESA mouning holes!

Pros: Nice big monitor

Cons: No VESA mount holes... Bought 9 for a client and cannot use them because we are using a dual screen VESA mount. Very frustrating when the picture makes it look like it has the holes.

Other Thoughts: I'm sure that the monitor is great, but I might lose money because of return shipping...

4 out of 5 eggsAcer G5 G215HVBbd Black 21.5" 5ms Wide LCD Monitor

Pros: It looks just like most widescreen monitors. Nothing outstanding.

Cons: It looks kind of washed out for the first few minutes after first turning it on. This may be common for LCD monitors, I don't know. I have had it for two months.

2 out of 5 eggsWell that didn't last long!

Pros: It "worked". Decent picture.

Cons: No HDMI. Power cord VERY loose. When I would move the monitor for a second to do something, it would most often turn off because of the cord being so loose. and most of all, IT JUST RANDOMLY STOPPED WORKING.

Other Thoughts: I exhausted literally every possibility to get the monitor to work. The 1st sign was that my games started having a purple tint. Thinking it was my graphics card, I turned off my PC and removed the card, cleaning it and making sure the pins were intact. I re-inserted my card and plugged the monitor back into it. Making sure the horrible power cord was inserted and working in the monitor, I turned my PC on. My monitor puked the message "No signal". I was puzzled. I thought my card had reached its final breath so I took it out and plugged the monitor into the main monitor port on the back of my computer instead of the graph. card. I turned it on again, still nothing. My monitor had power the whole time and displayed "no signal", automatically forwarding into sleep mode. I then made sure my pc's power was ok. I unplugged my pc for about a half-hour, just to give it some chill time. I then booted up my computer to see that my monitor was still not working. Everything was connected and fully operational during this whole entire process. No harm or damage was taken against the monitor or pc either. I've treated both my monitor and pc as if they were my beloved children. So thanks for taking 140 dollars from me and just spitting in my face. I would really appreciate a cash refund for my monitor and it is an outrage that i've had it for only a few months and it already stopped working on me.

5 out of 5 eggsViewing Angle?

Pros: To everyone who is afraid of buying this monitor I will tell you right now that you shouldn't be. This is a great monitor and will get the job done. The response time and contrast ratio is great.... you won't find anything better in this price range.

Cons: A lot of people want to complain about the viewing angle for this monitor. And it seems that because of these complaints a lot of ppl are staying away from this monitor. I would have to agree that if you sit away from the monitor while watching a movie you will have a problem with being able to see. But there is a way around this. Before I explain this trick I would like to add that if you are sitting right in front of the monitor you won't have any problems with the viewing angle. And also.... most monitors do have viewing angle problems.

Other Thoughts: This is how I dealt with my viewing angle problem.... The tilt on the monitor may be able to help with your viewing angle problem when you are trying to lay down on your bed and possibly watch a movie or netflix or something. Depending how high or low your desk is you will have a problem because the monitor doesn't tilt that low. But if your desk is too low the monitor does higher up then it does low. The side viewing angles are actually very good. The problem most people are having is the height. One trick I learned was to tilt my monitor downwards and to put my wallet under it. The monitor is actually very stable and won't fall over because the front stand legs hug to your desk. If you are having problems then try my wallet trick and see how it helps!

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: This monitor isn't horrible, as opposed to the other reviews I read before buying this. The colors seem fine (though I am colorblind), and the viewing angles are alright. It has a nice body, not necessarily slim though.

Cons: The main reason I bought this was because it was fairly cheap and on sale. I knew what I was getting into when I was decided to buy a cheap monitor. Though, I just figured if i take care of it regularly and and keep it in proper condition that I should be okay. I was mistaken. After just 2 months of owning this monitor, I randomly got a stuck pixel. I did fix it by applying some pressure, though this should not be happening with any respectable monitor. You're much more better off saving an extra hundred and getting a very nice monitor.

3 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Price, Size, Resolution, no dead/stuck pixels

Cons: Image quality, very narrow viewing angle

Other Thoughts: I purchased this monitor for a hundred bucks to sit beside two 6-year old cheap generic 17" LCD monitors. To my disappointment the old 17" no-name monitors have better viewing angles and vivid color. The bottom half of the screen on this monitor looks washed out where the old monitors look even throughout the screen. If you raise the monitor up, the bottom half looks decent, but then the top half looks like a negative picture.
A monitor is a purchase that you will use long term and stare at a lot (as demonstrated by by 17" monitors) and spending twenty bucks extra to get a decent monitor is a good idea.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of Money

Pros: Great price on sale. Solid stand with tilt

Cons: white out display. Put next to a good display and you will know immediately. Fuzzy picture on max resolution. Bad viewing angles

Other Thoughts: Waste of money if you're looking for a display for anything besides looking at facebook. Even then, pictures look terrible.
