Pros: Just got the monitor today and set it up. First impression: WOW.
Huge,beautiful and glossy glass screen that goes from edge to edge.
Monitor and stand are one piece, and only require 2 screws be tightened to "assemble."
I got it for $250, which is a great buy compared to other panels this size and quality. Lowest price IPS i could find. For reference, the price normally hovers around $280-300.
NO DEAD PIXELS OR RED PIXEL CLOUD. a few people complained of stuck pixels and/or this "cloud" of red/green pixels in the dark blacks. I have seen this in LED panels before and was a little worried when i saw people having this issue. Being stuck with a panel that has a single dead pixel is a bummer (i know from experience)

Cons: Several people complain of an "artificial bezel." My first reaction was "oh, they have an ATI card and need to adjust the scaling." This is probably the case for people saying the bezel is an inch or more, but i will point out that even with proper scaling adjustments, the picture does NOT go from plastic bezel to plastic bezel. there is about 6mm from the plastic to the screen on the sides and top, and 2mm on the bottom. very strange, and i am not sure why they did this. It doesnt take too much away from the screen, but it is worth noting for sure.
obviously, there is no vesa mount. wont count it againt the monitor since it advertizes that, but it would be nice to have the option.

Other Thoughts: as the cons say, there is a sort of artificial bezel, unrelated to scaling.
I also read that people getting the red pixel cloud in the dark blacks should adjust the wire connection, as this fixes the issue sometimes. if it doesnt, it will need to be RMA'd

overall, amazing monitor for the price. If you dont have $600+ or a PC to push WQHD , this one will do wonders.

Pros: Large, games look great on it and it has a pretty good response rate for an IPS display, Color reproduction is great, images look bright and colorful, and HD video looks tremendous. Also, it just looks great sitting on my desk, it is a very good looking display

Cons: I wish it was higher resolution, but for this price its understandable, wish it was VESA mountable, but again, with the I/O being built into the stand, that is understandable

Other Thoughts: I would whole heartedly recommend this monitor, I got it when it was on sale, now I wish I would have gotten 2 of them, also, mine came in great condition, except somehow the box got wet during shipping, other than that it has been wonderful, oh, and I have not seen the red dot issue others have mentioned.

Pros: Very bright LED. I am currently taking an online graduate level course which involves A LOT of reading of discussion boards. This monitor is much easier on my eyes because it is so bright!

Cons: Perhaps the base is a bit awkward for some. I don't mind it. Also, if you are using in dual monitor setups, the 1cm border on the left and right edges of the screen could bother you.

Pros: Monitor is Great, have had no issues whatso ever, bought two of these for my gaming setup, and intend to buy a third when i pick up 2nd 7950 to run it. great price i picked two of these up at best buy for like $200 each (think it was a mis print on the price considering at the time i bought the cheapest i found was like $280 for refurb.

Cons: The power adapter, wish it was the stander monitor/computer PSU plug (not worth taking an egg of tho)

Other Thoughts: for all of you who complain about the picture not reaching the edges of the screen., thats not the monitor that is you failing to adjust the "scaling" in your video card control center

Pros: Great size for the price.

Cons: First one I received had a split in the glass, newegg happily replace and took care of me. Second one I received worked properly but has the same 'red dot' issue that others have described in the feedback on this review page. To some it is not noticeable or a significant issue. To others, including myself, it is a tremendous annoyance. Acer has refused to do anything about it.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy another Acer product.

Pros: Very large, easy to install and use.

Cons: When the screen is displaying dark images there are tiny red dots over a large area towards the middle. Very noticeable and annoying.

The product is not accurately shown on the photos. The display does NOT reach all the way to the edges as it shows in 3 of the photos.

Pros: Nice, clean design; all connections on the back of the bottom base, which keeps the cords out of view; bright, sharp pictures with decent viewing angles; great for playing games

Cons: Not necessarily a con per se, but when the screen is completely black, there is a portion of the screen that has a pattern of red dots (for me it's toward the lower right area). You can only see it if you're mere inches away from the screen. For normal use it's not noticeable at all. Plus they red dots are not present when viewing normal images, only when the screen is displaying very dark images. There is also some light bleeding on the lower left corner of my display, but this doesn't bother me.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great display so far, bright, sharp pictures, good viewing angles (better than the normal LED/LCDs but not as good as plasma displays), very good contrast. It's a joy to play video games on it (Battlefield 3 looks great on it). At the price Newegg was offering this model, I couldn't pass it up (especially with the V.me 10% deal).

Pros: Beautiful screen, very bright, better looking stand and speaker than the previous model.

Cons: no height adjustment... if you use dual monitors, you will find it's not even on the top when they sit next to each other... previous model is like this... Acer should make the support bar in the center instead of on the side.

Other Thoughts: Honestly I was tricked to buy this when I saw the pictures on Newegg (I was too excited to read the reviews when the price dropped). Just like other reviews, the screen does not reach the bezels but I will get a third one anyway.

Pros: This monitor is excellent in terms of quality of picture, fast movement movies simplicity of of the control buttons The picture is simply excellent, the only drawback for me is the speakers but it is a monitor I was not expecting much and believe me you do not get much in terms of sound but again it is a monitor. playing games from my xbox 360 or PS3 the quality pictures is excellent as well. Movies playing from the PS3 looks excellent as well. In short for about a month of 12 hours per day of use I do not have one bad thing to say about this monitors I will recommended to anybody looking for almost perfect monitor. remember you do have what looks to be dark protector film inside that is about 1/8 of an inch I am using a dual monitor setup with a envy 17 3d and I do not any complains in any regard I am running Win 7 from a VMware workstation no isues playing in the dual monitor setup from this setup really good and easy to setup.

Cons: I will rate this monitor 5+ in terms of picture quality and with the only drawback the speakers but I remind you one more time is a monitor for that I will deduct some so my actual rating is 4.8 eggs Again I want to point out that in my personal experience no light bleed, sharp colors Excellent picture.

Other Thoughts: Well Allow to share that I purchase 2 of this, I use them for work since I work from home. also the 1st order one of them had a problem with red and blue lines from the of course this is newegg so other that the mistake I made when I returned the unit I used the wrong box. they contact me let me know I sent the correct box and full refund. I did purchased a 3rd unit before receiving the refund because is newegg I knew that is was a question of time when my refund will get to me. and it did.

Pros: Great looking monitors, good price

There is a non-physical bezel, which is annoying since they market the slim bezel. Also what is the point of creating an artificial bezel?

Makes no sense to me.

If anyone can figure out how to resize these screens with an nvidia card, please post with an explanation. The resize feature in control panel won't let me go past the artificial bezel.
