Pros: -Glossy = crisp clear image. No hazy anti-glare coating here!
-Cheap for an IPS panel
-5ms response time is fast for an IPS
-Minimal backlight bleed
-Lightweight
-No tools required for assembly
-Generates very little heat
-Comes with DVI, VGA, and HDMI cables
-Very classy design

Cons: -Basic stand that doesn't rotate or swivel
-No VESA mounting holes
-Image doesn't extend out to the edges of the bezel despite being marketed as a "zero frame" display

Other Thoughts: I got this monitor so I would have something easier to bring over to friends' places when they had LAN parties because my old monitor was simply too heavy to lug around. My old monitor had a wide gamut CCFL backlit display, so it had vibrant poppy colors. It was a little jarring "upgrading" to a standard gamut W-LED display at first, but I think I can adjust in the long run. It's not as vibrant, but it still looks good and it's definitely better than the majority of similarly priced TN panels out there because of the viewing angles.

I gave this monitor a 4/5 because of quality control issues. First one I got had some pretty bad color uniformity issues possibly due to a bad backlight. The left side had a really noticeable blue tint that extended out about an inch and a half from the edge and was really noticeable on light colored backgrounds. No amount of changing settings or looking at it from different angles would make it go away and it was very distracting, especially in cases where color accuracy was needed (like photo editing). Newegg was awesome and replaced the monitor for me and the second one doesn't have this issue.

Pros: I ordered three of these monitors so that I would be able to run surround on my GTX 680. They get the job done just fine, and the color looks great.

The monitor comes with HDMI, DVI, and D-Sub cables, as well as the DC adapter and plug. The stand comes in two pieces that you need to put together (literally twisting a screw with your finger) and then sliding the base into the monitor.

The bezel on these are very small, and the screen itself has a gloss to it. I haven't noticed any terrible reflection, but I do have a small glare from my keyboard lights when in a dark setting. Overall, I do like the gloss because when my computer is off the three monitors look like one from afar.

No dead pixels, no lines, no problems.

Cons: These are not cons, but I do have some thoughts below some people may consider cons.

Other Thoughts: For my set up, I ran these monitors into my graphics card at 2x DVI, and 1x HDMI. For whatever reason, the two DVI monitors had 100% brightness and the HDMI had lowered its to 80. This took be back at first, but that could be my lack of knowledge, as I haven't replaced monitors in 3-4 years. Again, not a negative, just a thought. I easily fixed the brightness issue and have had no problems since.

One thing that might bother some people would be the button layout underneath the monitors. It's standard to other monitors I've used in the past, but the buttons aren't labeled anywhere you can see, you need to push one to open the menu and then go from there. Anyone familiar with Acer's menu's will know what I am talking about.

However! I must stress that this is a PRO for me. These monitors are great for more than a few reasons, but something that is important to me is how they look on the outside. I understand companies want their brand out there, but I also don't care. I consider myself fairly loyal to Acer (their Monitors anyway), having bought my last 3 sets going back 8 years were all Acer. These are great for someone like me. The acer logo is on the front, its black so it blends in with the lower bezel and its not striking out at you. There isn't any text on the monitor, and the notification LED to signal if the monitor is on or off is also underneath the monitor, a subtle glow of blue for on/active and yellow/orange for inactive. I have a glossy desk so the glow is a little more bright, but anyone with a matte desk would just see a small ambiance.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and I may consider adding a forth monitor in the near future, especially at this reasonable price.

Other Thoughts: I HAD TO REPLACE A 5 YEAR OLD VIEWSONIC BECAUSE OF VERTICAL STRIPES. A FRIEND BOUGHT A DELL BUT NO HDMI. I BOUGHT THE ACER AFTER RESEARCH AND REVIEWS. HIS SMALL BIZEL LOOKS HUGE COMPARED TO MY THIN BIZEL. ACER COLORS BLOW DELL AWAY. NO FINE TUNING PERFECT OUT OF BOX. IF YOU WANT IPS THIS IS THE PERFECT 23 INCH . VERY VISUAL,WELL BALANCED AND SOLID MOUNT. GREAT JOB NEWEGG, I LOVE NEW DESIGNS AND PRODUCTS

Pros: Bezel is amazingly small. The picture is beautiful!!!!!

Cons: If you don't like glossy don't get this!

Pros: - Glass-like clear (though glossy and reflective) display
- Accurate colors
- Great low and high color contrast
- Narrow bezels around the screen (fresh feeling)
- 1920 x 1080 (considered full HD)

Cons: - Reflections of lights can be seen (not that bad)
- How much the ACM setting helps is a bit mysterious

Other Thoughts: Tests from lagom.nl were great overall:

Contrast: all bars are visible and distinguishable from each other
Clock and Phase: it is what it should look like
Sharpness: I use HDMI cable and vertical/horizontal lines are shown. I thought this was a problem, but texts are crisp and there are no visual problems when viewing images or playing games.
Black level: all squares are visible and distinguishable from each other
White saturation: same
Gradient: smooth, no banding issues
Inversion (pixel-walk): 7b flickers slightly, but that is expected
Response time and Ghosting: A~D are flashing. No ghosting.
Viewing angle: IPS panel means great viewing angle anywhere.
Sub-pixel layout: RGB standard

side by side with me ~year old TN panel acer, looks so good. 60 seconds fiddling with the brightness and contrast, then booting up f.lux and this thing is amazing.
Price point, bezel, IPS panel, best 1080 monitor right now.

Pros: The colors are noticeable right away. Had it sit side by side next to my friends monitor and this one just blew his away with how amazing it makes everything look. Very sleek design.

Cons: Since its glass edge to edge and its very lightweight and sleek i feel like it could be a more fragile monitor than monitors usually are but other than that there are no cons.

Pros: I received my replacement monitor today. Screen uniformity is much better on this one. Not as warm color as the first one I received. IPS glow/bleed or whatever you want to call it is better. I'm satisfied and will be keeping this one.

Pros: I love these monitors. They are really good IPS monitors for the price paid. I bought three of these monitors in total and they work nice for surround displays.

Cons: One of the monitors has two lines down the middle. I can't tell if the lines are inside the glass or if there is something else happening, but hooking up the monitor to another computer has not changed the situation. The lines are not terrible, but I have a feeling they might be just the beginning of something far worse.

Other Thoughts: I still give the monitors a rating of 5 because of how beautiful they are. It would be nice if they had holes on the back for a mount, but I'm fine with them sitting on my desk.

Pros: -The boarder around the screen is small.
-Comes with HDMI, DVI and VGA cables.
-I have two will get a third one after my gtx670 comes in.
-Don't need a screw driver to build stand.
-Buttons on the bottom.

Cons: -Doesn't have holes for wall mounts but I knew that before buying.
-Like above the buttons are on the bottom but nothing indication what button does what triad and error.
