5 out of 5 eggsSeems good

Pros: No issues yet.
Clear picture, decent brightness. Overall really good monitor.

Cons: The speakers kind of suck. But they are built in so I didn't expect much from them.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A good sized monitor for the price I snagged it for while it was on sale. Very crisp, no dead pixels, and hey, it works!

(I know, that's not super-high praise but come on, unless it magically dispensed sherbert ice cream or something I don't know what else to say about it!)

Cons: I have an issue, but I'm not sure if its the monitor or not: Whenever I start Windows (7, 64 bit), the screen looks really dull and dark. So I use the "calibrate" option in Windows, but it turns the screen SUPER bright. Then I have to go into my NVidia settings and play with the gamma (I don't even have to change it, just toggle it back and forth), and then and ONLY then does the monitor look good without blinding me.

Since I can't pin the issue solely on the monitor, I'd only take half an egg off if anything. The other half egg off stems from the fact that the monitor needs a Power brick to plug into the outlet. I mean really? A power brick? I though I was done with those in the 90s, and now I got like 8 feet of electric cable I don't need all wrapped up under my desk.

Other Thoughts: The pictorial instruction diagrams on the inside flap of the box are HILARIOUS! Mind you, the following are all balck and white line drawings...

The first picture is the box. Just in case you're confused!

The second picture is the box being OPENED, as if to say "Open the box!" (Which you've already done at this point, because the instructions are INSIDE the flap!). It also makes the box look like it's sad and waving. It's kind of adorable.

Step 3... I'll get to in a minute.

Step 4 shows the monitor hovering over the base, with a "down" arrow, to indicate that you must plug the monitor into the base (Without actually mentioning how to install the neck or anything, but mweh). Keeping it simple in all the worst ways!

Step 5 shows the completed monitor, ready for use! It's all very, very simple stuff...

Except step 3. What's step 3, you ask?

I DON'T KNOW! It looks like the schematics for a Star Trek computer chip! The other 4 steps are inanely simple and completely superfluous but step 3 looks like it might actually be important but I have no way of deciphering wth is going on!

Like I said, hilarious!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: This is a great monitor for the price what’s not to love full HD has a HDMI port DVI and VGA and all the cables come with it so no need to buy the cable unless you need a long one these are short ones but long enough for what I need. Screen came un damage no dead pixels nice bright screen. Very happy.

Cons: The power cable that goes into the external power brick is a special one not the stander power supply one so don’t loses it but I think there used in laptop ones. Cables that are include are on the short side but what do u except for that price.

4 out of 5 eggsAcer 24"

Pros: Good size and overall resolution. No major problems so far. Plug and play.

Cons: The base locks in tightly, which makes it a bit difficult to adjust the angle of the screen. Won't wobble though.

Other Thoughts: If you can pick this up on sale like I did, then you really can't get much better value out of a purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsI'M HAPPY

Pros: On Sale for $139.99 down from $199.99
Looks Amazing

Cons: Doesn't ride bih on the back of my 2014 ZX6R

Other Thoughts: I've been using a 24" LG HDTV for a while with a max resolution of 1366 X 768....yeah...brutal. Well, the TV's power port started giving me trouble, and unless the plug was plugged in-in a certain position, the TV wouldn't turn on, and if the cord was tapped by a hair, or a slight gust of wind from a fan, the wire would move a hair, and the TV would turn off,

I contacted LG, and I sent out the TV today for repair under warranty because this TV was really purchased for my little cousin's room. She's 3, but since when we got it she was still so little, I started using it for my PC, and PS3.

Well, since I knew I had to send it in, and I would be without a screen for AT LEAST 2 weeks, I decided to jump on NE, and check out what they have. Right away, I saw this TV listed as one of the sales, and after reading the specs, I gathered this was a awesome choice for the money, and the best part is, I won't even need to pay the bill when it comes.

The new monitor is AWESOME. I'm now running 1920 X 1080 via HDMI, and it's amazing. I love computers, and any form of electronics. I just got back into WoW, and this monitor provides a beautiful picture. At first I thought the colors looked washed out, but after some slight adjustments, it looks great.

I also have to mention shipping. I purchased the 3-day shipping but since I live on Long Island, and this happened to ship from the NJ warehouse yesterday, I received it TODAY. That's right, I ordered around 2pm yesterday, and got it around 1pm TODAY. That's why I LOVE living here because all Newegg, and Am_azon orders that ship from NJ, I get in 1 day.

Anyway, I recommend this monitor to ANYONE, but ONLY at the sale price of $139.99. I wouldn't of bought this for $200. Not that it isn't good but I can't justify spending $200 on a monitor but $139.99 for a 24" with the specs this thing has is a str8 up STEAL.

I hope this helps!

Have a great weekend!

4 out of 5 eggsGood monitor for the price, but some minor issues...

Pros: Very good monitor for gaming, possibly the best 1080p monitor I have ever seen for under $250. The speakers are meh, but they work, and most people who will use this monitor will use it for gaming or videos, where you will generally use a headset. The average contrast ratio is great, if you want it to be, the blacks look like the monitor is off, where as the whites are blinding. Both the monitor and HDMI cable's build quality is superb. a few weeks ago, a 10 pound subwoofer fell from about 2 feet directly onto the hdmi cable. Though the connector got pulled partially out of it's housing, upon bending it back, it works like nothing happened. This monitor is also very power efficient, it uses a little more than half the wattage of my previous monitor.

Cons: The monitor overdrive can't be adjusted, and this monitor does not like overclocked video cards. Every time I boot my PC once I started overclocking (even after replacing the card, and even when not overclocking), I have to turn on AMD overdrive in catalyst control center to avoid tearing. After starting Overdrive in CCC, there are never any further issues. As stated above, the speakers are not the best, but, what can you expect out of onboard monitor speakers

Other Thoughts: This monitor is BIG, make sure you know what a 24" monitor looks like. Also, this monitor goes on sale frequently (about once a month). Either when it's on sale or not, its a really good value, but, if you can, wait a little to see if you can get a better price

5 out of 5 eggsA solid monitor

Pros: Sturdy stand
Excellent picture quality
Decent Contrast
Decent Viewing Angle

Cons: Speakers

Other Thoughts: I had originally bought this monitor: Acer g246HLDAbd around Christmas on sale. The stand was wobbly and it worked between 5 seconds to 2 minutes at a given time (it was a lemon). I bought this monitor to replace it because the other was out of stock. It was technically $40 more, but it has a sturdy stand, HDMI, and speakers. Why this one has an average of 4 eggs over the other one (all other specs are the same) having 5 I do not know. I can only attribute that to the poor speakers on the monitor. The speakers are rear facing and worse quality than those on an ACER netbook. The speakers for me are a frivolous extra that I don't need, much like the additional video cables the box comes with. If built-in speaker quality is the selling point of a monitor for you, you need to reevaluate your purchasing criteria. I'll attribute the price difference to the better stand and HDMI, which is more than worth it for me.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Monitor

Pros: Very beautiful display. I originally was concerned about the bezel size, but it is much better looking in person than on the website. Assembly was quick and easy and I just love the display. I have watched a few shows and played a couple of games on the display and all look great with no major issues.

Cons: I didn't buy a second one at the sale price.

Other Thoughts: Just make sure you have the desktop space for it. My desk is a little cramped now, but that isn't the monitor's fault.
