5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitors

Pros: work great with two monitors on my mac mini.
awesome displays, allows a very reasonable workspace for multi tasking and keeping track of data.

I have one of them attached to a KVM so that i can easily access my PC media machine for music running in the background. The monitor auto-senses which input is being used, and automagically changes.

When i'm done with my media PC, and flip the KVM back to dual monitor on my mac- no changes needed at all- auto sensing works great.

Clean, crisp bright.
very happy with this purchase

Cons: they weren't free.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend these screens for anyone who isn't in need of UBER high-end gaming displays. they work great and keep doing exactly what it is that they need to do.

4 out of 5 eggsSecond time's the charm...

Pros: I am submitting another review because the first monitor I was sent was defective. I returned it and received a new one with a reasonable time, and everything on the second model works perfectly fine. Others have complained that the screen is really bright, but you can adjust that in the settings with ease. There are also preset settings you can use, and I found the "Game" settings matched most closely to what I wanted visually. No dead pixels this time, and the picture looks great. Setup and stand adjustments were a cinch.

Cons: No real cons at this time. There are complaints about the speakers, but at around 130 dollars' I don't see a reason to complain. They are there; they work, just don't expect too much. I do worry, however, about the life of the monitor. Since it is so cheap, I'm worried it may die out within a couple months.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor

Pros: Clear, bright picture. No dead or stuck pixels.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: ordered this as a bigger monitor for my laptop, and higher resolution to boot. Completely satisfied with this product

4 out of 5 eggsMonitor is great ... stand for the monitor is shabby.

Pros: Monitor looks fantastic. Decent number of options for video signal. Nice profile on desk.

Cons: The stand for the monitor is a joke. There are three screws in total which are used to connect the monitor, the neck, and the base. Unfortunately, the design involved means that each screw only attaches at one point at any given time. So all of the screws basically line up vertically in one plane. While this gives great stability vertically along that plane, it does nothing to address the lack of stability side-to-side. The monitor wobbles each time it is adjusted.

Other Thoughts: If you can forget the included base and mount the monitor to a wall mount, you'll be gold. Otherwise, if you can just set the monitor up and then never ever touch it, you'll be happy.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor So Far

Pros: Very Bright Picture, great colors, no dead pixels, plug and play hook up with all cables supplied.
Great price on sale and included delivery, Super fast delivery amazed me.

Cons: Little tough to find the menu buttons, if they would have just used white coloring would have made it easier to locate and use.
Would have liked to be able to adjust tilt, unsure right now if this can be done, still playing with it.

Other Thoughts: Since I just received this monitor and got it hooked up, I hope it lasts as long as my last Acer did (6 years). Mine sits on a solid desk, so I get no wobble out of it as others have claimed. 4 star rating is because of newness, may re-rate as time goes by to 5 stars.

1 out of 5 eggsNot so great on its first run...

Pros: Big monitor with anything you'd need for a really low price.

Cons: Right out the box, the monitor would turn on for a few seconds, then the screen would go black. None of the buttons would respond, and the on-switch would switch to an orange color instead of green. All that's left to do then is turn it off. Also, on top of this, there was a dead pixel on the center-right side of the screen. I understand this is a budget monitor, but I expect it to fully function at least the first day.

Other Thoughts: I am shipping the monitor back asap and getting a replacement. I haven't lost faith in Acer, yet, and I expect that the replacement will do me justice. I'll update this review when I acquire the new one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitors, excellent price.

Pros: For the price, you really can't beat these monitors for secondary and tertiary screens (as they are for me). Even as a Primary monitor, they are excellent as long as "built-in" speakers wasn't your primary selling point (based on other reviews, since I didn't even bother hooking them up). The picture quality is excellent and sharp with no dead pixels, and a great viewing angle. I haven't noticed any ghosting, either.

Two things that I absolutely love about these monitors:

- I've purchased cheap monitors in the past that only includes one cable despite having all the connections under the sun. These babies came with all of the cabling supported by the monitor (DVI, HDMI, VGA/D-SUB). When I say cheap, I mean inexpensive, not cheap feeling or low quality (neither of these terms can be used to describe these monitors).

- The power button is super easy to find, which is a godsend when you are trying to power your system up in the dark. 3 of my old monitors either have the button sandwich in between other buttons with no tactile difference OR it was capacitive sensor which is difficult to find even with the lights are on. Granted you kindof get used to it, but still it's nice to find that the Acer's power button jut out a little from under the monitor making easily identifiable. It's the simple things that make me happy!

Cons: Things that might affect you: No Displayport. Not USB Ports. No height adjustment (but does have 5-15% tilt adjustment.

My only chief "complaint" is the resolution (1920 x 1080) isn't quite the same as my primary monitor (1920 x 1200). What does this mean? Well, tiling windows across aren't going to line up perfectly and your mouse will get hung up on the corners. Also depending on the screen alignment, some dialog boxes might appear slightly off screen. However, these resolutions are close enough that these "issues" probably won't be an issue. Especially, compared to the monitor they are replacing.

This really isn't a complaint about the monitors themselves, but a complaint of how they work in tandem with my primary monitor. Take it with a grain of salt.

Other Thoughts: I'm really happy I pulled the trigger on these. My criteria have been met and exceeded. The key things I wanted were:

- LED backlighting
- Relatively narrow bezel
- Decent resolution ( >= 1920x 1080 )
- VESA mounts
- VGA/DVI for my current video cards and HDMI for future upgrades
- 5ms or less refresh

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Better than I expected, very bright compared to my other 2 older acer LCDs. Not sure it gets any better at this price point. I paid 130$ during a sale for memorial day.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsNice monitor

Pros: Very bright clean picture, seems to be well built.

Cons: No cons for me as of yet, i do hear complaints about the speakers sucking but for me even if that's so i won't drop an egg i always use surround sound systems.

Other Thoughts: On sale for 129$ can't go wrong.
