4 out of 5 eggsCheap Multi-monitor setup

Pros: Monitors have a nice look to them and very vivid picture, Contrast ratio shows very white whites and the blacks are very black, Minimal color Bleed. brushed steel and black stands look very nice.

the 6 MS response time isn't an issue and i cant tell a difference coming from my 2ms monitor these replaced.

Cons: Now for the cons, None of which are deal breakers for my current setup but are as follows:

Minimal tilt adjustment

Monitor screen is covered in Glass (would help with scratching i guess but can cause MASSIVE glare which is why i docked an egg)

The built in speakers are really bad, to the point i would rather have paid $1 less than to have them, as they are a waste.

Only HDMI or VGA input, With the lack of DVI they could have included a display port or at least just given you a DVI input.

Menu is very lacking, For the HDMI user, unless you have a graphics card that supports overscan adjustment, it may be hit or miss. 1 out of the 3 monitors i ordered put black boxes on 30% of the screen and had to set the overscan on my GFX card to get it to display properly.

the bezel design makes it seem as if they are 2-3mm thick but in reality the true bezel is 1/2 an inch. The glass screen goes to the 2-3mm plastic bezel but a little under 1/2 an inch of it Isn't actual screen but rather glass cover.

Cable clearance, The cables for the monitor are at the base of the stand and even with the HDMI cables bent as far as you safely can you will only be able to get the Monitor about 61/2 inches from the wall. (I know this sounds petty but there is so much more real-estate on this monitor to help with this issue)

Power cable retention, The power cable for the monitor is a laptop charger style cable with the rounded adapter on the end, the retention on said cable is abysmal. It pops out with the slightest amount of force and falls into the abyss that is the back of your computer desk lol.

Other Thoughts: All of the cons aside i found it to be a good trade off for price/functionality. Where as the issues with the monitors can be real issues with some users for me they are not. A little ingenuity and work the problems with the monitor are no longer an issue and for the price you pay not a bad deal.

As stated above i run 3 of these and 2 dell 3:4 monitors in an eyefinity setup and can not complain.

Make sure you alot desk space for the foot print from the wall, Make sure you dont have a light source or window within your reverse viewing angle, and make sure you can fix any of the smaller issues this monitor has and your golden.

I would buy again given the chance and honestly if none of the cons i listed are a deal breaker i would say go with this monitor and get a good budget eyefinity/nvidia surround setup.

Pros: Picture was good while it lasted

Cons: Burn in display issues on left side of the screen and lines flickering across the screen. Can't recommend anyone throwing any money at this thing.

5 out of 5 eggsAcer S236HLtmjj

Pros: Good and consistent picture in usage for about 6 months in desktop web browsing and office activity. No dead pixels in that time. It is plenty bright and the default setting can be adjusted readily.

Cons: A minor con is that it does not have a DVI connection, but it has two HDMI and 1 D-sub. It also does not have VESA mounting capabilities.

Other Thoughts: The offset base is a bit unusual, but does not distract too much from the aesthetics. The power brick is external. It is a on the end of budget IPS monitors and has features to match, but is a good value.

2 out of 5 eggsBeautiful picture while it lasted

Pros: I bout this monitor last year in November as part of a new rig I built, really good price, love the style of it, it's an IPS panel so the color is amazing....but....

Cons: I'm very disappointed to find out that many people are having the same issue as me, in that one of the sides (in my case, it was the left side), is now having display problems, and it's not even a year later. There's these strange lines running through the screen, discoloration, and now there's an image burned in the screen ever since the problem started. The worst part, is that it hasn't even been a year yet. Pretty disappointed

2 out of 5 eggsWould not recomend

Pros: While it worked it had a very good picture and color.
2 hdmi ports

Cons: after six months the right side of the monitor started to become discolored and had lines running through it. The stand was also quite wobbly.

Other Thoughts: This monitor may work for some but your taking a chance with your money.

5 out of 5 eggsmasterpiece of digital amazingness

Pros: Beautiful display! wonderful colors, and a nice quality of picture as well. But the best part- every side of the screen is suuuper slim and it makes it look amazingly bigger, and better, because your eyes arent drawn to any side panels! the base is really modern, and small as well.

Cons: I did have to change the image settings, color, brightness, contrast, etc. but i'd say everyone would have to, to fit their desires. it is pretty easy to customize, though

2 out of 5 eggsNope

Pros: Very good and clear display, WHEN IT WORKED

Cons: The left side of the screen turned green while I was on the internet a few months after I got it. Sent it into acer, and they sent it back without fixing it. Not happy with Acer or this display.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: I love the look of it. It's somewhat unique. Good picture. 2 HDMI inputs. No dead pixels. I like the controls on the base instead of the screen as it gives it a clean look.

Cons: If these things matter to you: no DVI so you would need a DVI to HDMI cable + separate 3.5 mm audio cable. Separate power brick as power supply is not built into base.

You need good light to see the button labels.

Other Thoughts: I'm using the Movie preset which lowers brightness and contrast but this works best for me. If you manually adjust brightness or contrast it will default to the User preset.
