Yes or no, does this product have a HDMI port? (Please only actual buyers answer, not those who are just basing their answer on the picture like myself).  The picture on here and the Acer website both show HDMI ports. However, the specs neither confirm nor deny that a  HDMI port exists...

The answer is no, unfortunately it does not.  It has 1 VGA and 1 DVI, but no HDMI ports.

Does this monitor's display have a glossy (reflects lights) or matte finish?

The 3 that I ordered after Christmas were all matte finish.  I am starting to think that some people think that matte is glossy...

Unfortunately Ted, it does not. However, this is the best monitor I have ever bought. If it has any influence on your monitor purchase I'm going to replace my second monitor, and guess what monitor I'm going to buy once again. :) If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

I do not see anything if this monitor has speakers. Could any one tell me this?

Is this monitor adjustable up and down?

No, it is not sadly. I wish it mentioned it before I bought it, but its regular position is perfect if you are sitting normally. Though even if you slump a lot, the viewing angle is great, so you can still see the screen perfectly fine from any angle. There is a standard monitor mount in the back however if you want full adjustability; you would need a monitor mount of course though.

Can the monitor be mounted on a wall?  If so, what type of mounting bracket is compatabile with this monitor.

I hope that's the info you needed. I'm not all to familiar with wall mounts.

Question 7

What color is the power button when on? Might sound like a dumb question but I'm in the process of getting everything in my computer area to have the same color lights.

Did anyone else have a problem assembling the stand?  I could NOT get the 'riser' installed into the base without removing the black plastic covering.  First time I've had a problem with an Acer stand, so wondering if I got a defect or it just requires gorilla strength.

I had a problem with this as well.  There is a button on the base and you need to press this while pushing into the monitor bracket.
You need to press it into the the bracket with good amount of folrce.  It doesn't connect using a normal amount of force.  After
the base is attached you may need to press on the top of the monitor while holding the base to elimate it tilting down to you.

The setting on the monitor is set to be very bright.  I had to 
reduce it to 40% to get a good picture.

No other problems

Anyone...Is it Glossy or Matte?

If you mean the stand and boarders of the screen it is glossy. The screen its self whe it is off is matt black. Hope this helps ya.

How much does this monitor weigh?

    I have personally not taken the monitor out of the box as it is a Christmas present for my son, however, according to Acer's web site it is 10.14lbs with the stand.  I plan on using a mount for my sons desk and the mount is only 2-3lbs of it so I would have to assume it weighs 7-8lbs without the stand.
