2 out of 5 eggsHot Pixels

Pros: Affordable, aesthetically nice, exceptional resolution, fast and sensitive touch response.

Cons: Within 15 months, this monitor suffered a hot pixel which initiates a mouse click repeatedly on the same spot. It was tolerable at first, but eventually became more frequent and more points on the screen began to trigger mouse clicks. For the time that the touch screen worked, it worked well. Ultimately, it functions now as a standard monitor due to these "hot" parts of the screen, which as a standard monitor -- performs its role fine with the touch screen feature disabled/disconnected.

I was very disappointed with the lifetime of this monitor's touch screen capabilities.

Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

4 out of 5 eggsworks for the most part

Pros: Probably the most affordable Capacitive touchscreen on the market.
Has HDMI
quick response and beautiful display.

Cons: This is where it can be a bit ugly:
* DPMS issues. if the power is cycled or the DPMS kicks in the touch settings go out the window, it starts hold and dragging anything you tap on instead of clicking as a result. this could just be a driver issue in linux.
* Linux support of course has it's limits, the general touch driver in the linux kernel only allows for single touch and no second mouse click options.
* A major flaw however is the on board speaker system. If you use HDMI you must have audio output enabled the audio cable will not work with anything other than standard VGA. You would think that some sort of setting would have been included to give a choice in this matter.

Other Thoughts: it has it's quirks but overall for the money your not going to find a better touch display, especially if you are needing one for a Kiosk or CNC.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: After what I paid on this... NONE!!!!!! replacement only? yeah its garbage

Cons: This monitor is junk, touchscreen broke after a week. It "ghost clicks" on a area of the screen. Viewing angle sucks, monitor stand sucks, ACER sucks.

Other Thoughts: I used to bleed Acer, it was the brand of my first PC. I loved them, however after this purchase and their customer service telling me it would take 8-10 weeks to repair, nope no more. I am done with acer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Touchscreen for the money

Pros: Works great with Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8.1 Pro after driver update. Currently using HDMI Connection to an older Acer Aspire 5745DG Laptop with a NVidia GeForce GT 425M built in video card and Intel core i5 with 8 GB DDR3. No problems. Touchscreen is very responsive.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Using this as a touchscreen video jukebox in my gameroom. Once you update drivers, there is no lag in response time when the screen is touched. Would purchase another one when I have to.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Quality Control (QA) at all

Pros: Nice design, good features/specifications and price for touch screen, responsive

Cons: As many other noticed, the random phantom/ghost touches renders the touch feature of this screen simply unusable. You can disable the touch functionality and still use it as ordinary monitor but who would buy touchscreen to use it as not touch-screen? Besides, for the given price you can buy way better spec'd monitor without touch functionality.

There aren't any Acer drivers for that monitor. The ones on the Acer download page are not really drivers but some colour profiles.

Other Thoughts: I've asked the Acer Community about the phantom/ghost touch issue. Anyone interested can follow the thread entitled ""Phantom", "Ghost" touches on "FT200HQL bmjj" touchscreen" under monitor section.

So far I'm not fascinated by the Acer support.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product, great price

Pros: Matches my laptop resolution so the desktop doesn't get rearranged. Smaller profile fits nicely in a tight workspace. Works with Win 7, Win 8, and LInux. It isn't very heavy, makes it extremely portable.

Cons: I've experienced the random touch problem that other users have noted. I have found that if I completely remove the power (unplug the brick) for about 15 seconds, the problem disappears for a while.

Other Thoughts: Mac OS X didn't support the touch screen chipset when I first tried it, the cursor jumped to the top left corner whenever the screen was touched. It's not a con, just a little bit of a disappointment that Apple continues to resist supporting touch on OS X. But I like the monitor so much I bought a second one.

2 out of 5 eggsQuality Control?

Pros: Good viewing angles and touchscreen is capacitive not resistive. Dual HDMI ports and USB 3.0 port multiplier

Cons: Like many others I experienced ghost touches in a couple of different areas of the screen. One spot in the lower right corner was especially annoying because it was on the show desktop section for Windows 7...

Power brick... Really...

Other Thoughts: Anyone thinking about purchasing this should be aware that Newegg sells this with a non-refund status. So if (when) it breaks all they can do is replace it if it's within the 30 day window. If you're out of the window it's up to Acer to fix.

Disappointed with Acer's Quality Control. With so many people experiencing the same issue it's obviously not an isolated issue.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy

Pros: Worked ok for the first two months. Clear picture.

Cons: Touch screen stopped working after two months. No help from tech support because it's a hardware issue. Have to buy a new touchscreen monitor. Built in speakers are really weak.

Other Thoughts: Wish I would have spent a little more in the first place since I have to go out and purchase a whole other monitor now.
