Can you rotate this screen or does it stay landscape?

The Acer G7 Series G247HL comes as landscape only.  There are no wall mounting bracket holes on the back side.

does the monitor rotate to landscape orientation?

No it doesn't rotate. There is no height adjustment, and it doesn't even tilt easily or very much.

The monitor is great, and the colors are beautiful, but the stand is very basic.  But since I spend time looking at my monitor and not adjusting it, I'm glad I put my money on this one, cause it looks great for a competitive price when I bought it. (Summer 2013).

Does this 24" Acer monitor have a VESA mount on the back? I can't tell from the photos. Thx.

No it does not have a VESA mount. The stand does not swivel either.

Question 4

The promo images from Acer show this specific model as having an Edge-to-Edge glass display. Is this correct?

The one I got was edge to edge display, but I don't believe it's made out of glass.

Can I connect this monitor to a laptop?

You connect any laptop to any monitor as long as they both have a VGA. There is no compatibility issues as such if they both have it on any model laptop or monitor

it is Glossy, but I don't think you will notice because there really isn't much there.

As is, you would not be able to mount it to a dual monitor stand.  Though there may be some attachments out there that could be used with a monitor like this so that you would be able to mount it.

Technically the term HD only applies to televisions.
That said, the native resolution of a 1080p HD TV is 1920 x 1080

The recommended resolution on this monitor is 1920 x 1080.

So, no its not HD, but yes it is has an equivalent screen resolution.

Because they are much lighter, I want a monitor that uses an AC adapter not the kind that uses a 3 prong power cord plugged into an electric socket. Which is this?

Accepted Answer

The AC adapter connected to the monitor is very small rounded plug with a small 4" x "1 X 1" transformer that is attached to a 5' cable with a grounded 3 prong plug. Monitor is very light and very easy to work with.
