4 out of 5 eggsDual setup

Pros: I enjoy this monitor, it looks great, I dont have issues with it working.

love the different port types, made the multi-setup such a breeze, and it came with an adapter, to boot!

it is adjustable back and forth a bit, and the bezels are thing on the top and sides. The bottom is where the buttons are, and they take some getting used to where the power is, if you want to turn it off, but the monitor automatically sleeps when the PC is turned off, so I don't bother.

The price was good, the ratings were 5-egg, and I love that I was won over.

Cons: the monitor has no speakers, not really height-adjustable, the acer/power saver splash does stay on a bit long every time i power it on (another reason I let the monitor go to sleep instead of actually hitting the power button)

also, I think it lacks that Vesa mount, but that didn't bother me.

Other Thoughts: There's a new model, apparently with speakers!

1 out of 5 eggsUnfortunate follow up on what started out to be a good product

Pros: Started out good but ...

Cons: Panel backlight and brightness consistency is horrible in less than 1 year between three of these monitors. Repair attempt resulted in broken monitor. :(

Other Thoughts: Initial rating I provided was 5 eggs. However in less than 1 year, I have to drop it to 1 egg due to panel backlight and brightness consistency issues. I bought 2 in Aug 14 and 1 more in Apr 15. The first two were fairly close in white balance / color handling. However upon bringing the 3rd into the mix, which has an updated options menu, I could really see the difference. Having all three next to each other made the differences really stand out. I called Acer Support and after hearing my issue, they asked me to return the worst one. I did, they had it for a month, and sent it back with nothing done, noting they didn't see any issues after running it for 50 hours. DAH! The issues are with the comparison between the different panels.
I use 5 - 24" monitors per workstation at work, usually Dell or HP and have NO visual differences like those I see in these Acer's. To make things worse, when I got the one back from service, I read the Service Order Output and was disgusted. So out of frustration I unpacked it and just set it aside. However two weeks later when I hooked it back up, the darn think had apparently been broken in shipment. There was a very small impact damage in the upper right corner so the entire monitor is now worthless as it doesn't work at all. Lesson learned: test immediately upon return from service. So I spent $25 sending it in and got a piece of electronic waste in return. How frustrating!!!!
I support large control rooms at work and deal with literally hundreds of monitors, in 5 monitor arrays and I have never broken even one monitor before in ten years of doing this job. Therefore I suspect it was broken in shipment. Now I'm out the cost of the entire monitor, all for trying to resolve what appears to be a production quality issue on Acer's part.
My recommendation is if you only need one, with no height adjustment this might work for you otherwise STAY AWAY if you plan to use them next to each other. The quality control just isn’t there.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfectly fine. HDMI with 3.5 out so it can work as a TV/console display.

Pros: At this price range, you're pretty much paying for a monitor, not much extra for features.
Picture is great, all pixels work, no light bleed issues. Factory packaging was fine. Newegg, of course, just put a shipping label on it.
I like that it has no speakers, and even more so like that it has a sound extractor.
Advertises the "real" response time instead of GTG (which is 4MS for this).
It's big, the colors are true enough. Blacks are black.
Absurd viewing angle that will never serve any practical purpose.

Cons: For the price, none.
Well, the lack of a convenient tilt could be one, seems a standard thing, not so much a feature. Definitely not worth an egg, and I've heard rumors that it can be adjusted, with effort.
I think Contrast ratio is a complete C*** statistic. I'm not sure what I wanted for my 100m:1 ratio but it isn't any better than my Dell's 8M:1(native 1000:1) or the 300k:1 of my old Vizio 720P TV-Again, no eggs because the contrast is fine, I just feel they're selling you something here, that you are not getting.
Newegg still ships with UPS. I ordered Thursday night, got it Wednesday. UPS left it sitting for 40 hours before moving it one county over for deliver (on top of missing an easy transfer, that my package the next day managed to make no problem).. UPS is now my only problem with Newegg. Any other carrier moves their trucks over the weekend. To UPS, it only took them 3 days because they don't work over the weekend, and Newegg ships at the end of the day, but the RainForrest would have shipped it BAM-LIKE and with USPS/Fedex two day shipping so I would have had it Saturday, maybe Sunday (Yes, Prime items deliver on Sunday). I am a premier member, if I weren't I'd be OK with it, so I'm cancelling my membership until Newegg decides to compete.

Other Thoughts: Probably no better or worse than most other cheap ($100-140) monitors, I picked up a 21.5 Dell IPS for $110 (got this for $120) at the same time, and they are pretty close to identical in performance, the main difference I think is it is a gloss finish. I prefer the display of the Dell over this, but the size certainly makes up for it, plus I can use this for my console thanks to the HDMI and 3.5mm output.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great monitor, thin bezel and the screen looks good. No dead pixels at all and gaming is great in GTA 5 and Witcher 3.

Cons: No cons really. The mount is not adjustable but no big deal, propped it up with a book.

Other Thoughts: Great deal, got it on sale for about $125.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor for the money

Pros: 24" monitor with decent response time. It's very thin and very lightweight. Good color with sharp picture.

Cons: I'm not a fan of the power brick on the power cord but having it on the cord keeps it from being integrated into the monitor which then makes the monitor itself thinner and lighter. It only comes with a VGA cable?! I wish it would have at least come with a DVI cable. I did know that it only came with VGA when I bought it but I just don't get how in 2015 a product like this only comes with a VGA cable?

5 out of 5 eggsEye Candy

Pros: Big bright wide screen display. crisp and clear. perfect vibrant colors without the artificial enhancement found in cheaper monitors.

Cons: no tilt. though i hear it can be done with screwdriver and some patience

Other Thoughts: Perfect. I want to crawl inside of it!
