Anyone who has ever used one knows how handy a modern video projector can be, whether for presentations, TV viewing, or even gaming. And you all know that to get a decent screen size, you have to have a lot of room between your projector and your screen.
BenQ designed a projector that cuts that distance (or "throw") in half. You can get a large 27.5" display at only twenty inches away from the screen; 55" at a mere 3.3 feet. Now you can make your presentations without getting blinded by your own projector, or casting a shadow on the screen every time you move.
Highly versatile on inputs, it can accept analog RGB, HDMI, composite video, component video, and S-video. It has D-sub, HDMI, S-video, composite and component connectors to facilitate operations quickly and without needing a handful of adapters. I've run out of room, so check out all the features for yourself. I think you'll like what you see.

Amazing projector!
- Pros: Great DVD quality picture. I have mine on a coffee table about 5 feet from the screen and have a 64" picture. Very quiet and has lots of picture adjustments. Has HDMI , s video and rca inputs.
- Cons: It's 800 x 600 so you won't get the full hd effect. However it does take hd input (by way of HDMI) then scales it down to 800x600. The built in speakers are acceptable but not great (they can easily be turned off).
- Other Thoughts: For the price it can't be beat. Projecting a huge screen from such a short distance is amazing.
Small & Fun Projector
- Pros: The short throw and price of this projector are its selling points. At 6' from a wall I am getting an 8' image. Try getting a 96" TV of any type at this price point! I am using it for business and HTPC purposes.
- Cons: 800x600 resolution isn't really high def, and large projections viewed close up show pixels accordingly. And while having high def would help, this phenomenon is largely a function of how close you sit to a screen vs. how big the screen is. Smaller projections will show less pixelization at close viewing - regardless of the projectors resolution.
- Other Thoughts: I recommend you match a projector with the quality of the rest of your home audio system. If you have $10,000 invested in your system already, by all means, match it with a real home theater projector. If you've got a simple box store surround audio system, you'll love this projector. For business, the short throw and compact size will be something to love. I thought I was going to use my white photography backdrops for this projector, but honestly, the contrast and whites are good enough that I usually just shine it on a (clean) white wall and have a darn good time!

Love the BenQ Projector
- Pros: Bright, and easy to set up. Looked around for a projector and you can't beat the price. This short throw Projector works great with my PS3, Laptop and Sling box. I love to watch Sports in this projector. Very light and can take it anywhere.
- Cons: Not a HD product athough it has an HDMI input. It still looks great!
- Other Thoughts: Recently opened up a restaurant and is planning to purchase 2 more of these projectors for the place.
Nice Projector
- Pros: Really works well for the Wii , And even xbox 360 at standard def. I also used it to watch some old home movies at a family get together. My son uses it while hosting his gaming parties.
- Cons: Wish it was a tad bit brighter and colors seem a little washed out but for 550 bucks you really can't expect much.
It isn't a plasma TV !!!!!
- Other Thoughts: Cant beat it for the money.
