5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: 3000:1 Static Contrast
They give you DP, DVI-D and VGA cables.
24" Goodness

Cons: Built in speakers, I knew this when I was buying them but I feel like they could do without. Still looks fine, they are not noticable as they are at the bottom of the monitor.

Other Thoughts: Currently using two of these in a dual monitor set-up. Its glorious.

4 out of 5 eggsSuperb LCD with sketchy support...

Pros: Absolutely fantastic monitor. The blacks are dark and rich and the contrast is amazing. I'm so very glad I went with a VA based panel vs IPS or TN. I can't say for sure as I don't have a colorimeter, but I find the colors very pleasing and on par with my IPS based TV.

The stand is also superb. Height adjustment and rotation is easy and smooth. It also hooks into the VESA mounts so that (theoretically) if you swap out the monitor you can keep the stand.

Matte screen with semi-anti-glare coating (meaning that whites don't look as dirty with more liberal AG coating).

OSD menu is pretty easy to use. No LED ripple. Packaging is sturdy. Great aesthetics. Zero blacklight bleeding.

Cons: - The 4 USB ports on the stand are limited to 100mA each. When I plug my 8GB USB stick into one of them, I get a "Power limit exceeded" error.
- Responsiveness is very bad without AMA turned on (it is off by default). Very noticeable blurring/trailing from even just moving windows around.
- Eco modes are turned on by default resulting in a very dark image at first. You will want to turn this off
- While using a display port cable, the screen turns bright blue when it can't detect a signal. It very much hurts the eyes, so I switched back to DVI (no obvious differences in IQ with DVI vs DP)
- Viewing angles are "meh" as there is a noticeable color shift. You may see slight color shift on solid colors on the edges (but this is not backlight bleeding).
- Horrible dead pixel policy which is not explained clearly in the documentation. Either 7 pixels have to be dead, or 3 in a 2-3 inch sq area. Unfortunately, I have 3 dead no where near each other though thankfully in areas I don't look

Other Thoughts: Again, turn AMA mode on and Eco mode off for best usage. Also, to access the service menu: Turn off the monitor, press and hold the "Menu" button, turn on the monitor, release the "Menu" button, finally press the menu button again. (To go back to the regular options menu, power cycle the monitor and press the menu button).

I use this monitor for gaming, watching, writing/coding, and reading. I'm completely satisfied with this monitor for my usage. With AMA on, gaming is fine. If you keep your eye out for it, you will notice some blurring in games (especially with a dark object on a light background). However, I don't really notice it much and I think the superior contrast far outweighs the slight blurring but YMMV.

The bad pixel policy really is the major blemish on this fantastic monitor. Newegg's guidelines suggest leaving out pricing however I feel that it is imporant to mention. So to honor newegg's request as best I can I will just say this: I did not pay newegg's price.
