1 out of 5 eggsInput lag

Pros: It comes in pretty outer casing.

Cons: There is about a 200ms delay between the output on the projector and the output of the source. Any games that required quick motion of any kind were literally unplayable. Movies are slightly out of sync with the sound, although less noticeable then in video games.

Firmware 1.04 didn't fix the problem.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure how benq fathomed this a production ready device.

5 out of 5 eggsMost Bang for your Buck

Pros: Excellent picture quality, excellent feature set. My setup is only a 10' wide screen, but it has amazing picture quality. Includes sound in and out and mounted speakers, which is a difficult feature to find on these projectors. The mounted speakers are about what you'd expect from "monitor speakers", not bad, but definitely note theater worthy. Great set of inputs, RCA, Composite, HDMI x 2, VGA (PC), everything you need.

Cons: When connecting to my xbox 360 through HDMI, a green digital pixelation occurs around the various graphics layers (especially smoke effects on skyrim). There is a setting under the projector settings: Display-->HDMI Gain [or Boost or something] that needs to be set to the max of 3 to eliminate this. The one problem is that this setting reverts every time you turn off the projector. What's worse is that if you go to that setting, it says 3, even though it is not really. Simply turn it down to 2 and back up to 3 and the pixelation will be gone.

Other Thoughts: Best projector I could find for the money with the feature set I wanted. I've had absolutely no issues with it, except for the above issue, and firmware may fix that, I haven't tried. I'm about to purchase another one.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat picture

Pros: I love this projector. I replaced a BenQ W100 with this beast and am very happy with the purchase. The picture quality is great right out of the box.

Movies with an 234" picture == win.

For the price point, this is a lot of projector. I would buy it again.

Cons: It loses the digital zoom setting every time you turn it off. So when I power on I always have to reset the zoom.

-1 Egg.

Other Thoughts: Firmware v1.04
