5 out of 5 eggsVery nice 120Hz monitor.

Pros: Smooth, bright, and 120Hz for optimal response and performance in games. I did notice a difference in how snappy and smooth the visuals are between 60Hz and 120Hz. The pixel pitch on this BenQ monitor makes for a very crisp, smooth image.

You can switch image modes thru the menu, or set your own to 3 preset buttons on the little control fob on the side. You can also customize what default controls , such as brightness and/or contrast, appear when pressing the light-up, touch-sensitive buttons on the right side of the bezel, which I though was cool.

Cons: The only con I might mention is when I got the monitor last year when it was first out, I received one with 3D emitter issues, where it would get "stuck" in 3D mode. BenQ sent me out a brand new replacement, with a new firmware with the issue no longer present. So I was pleased with their prompt and friendly customer service.

Other Thoughts: I've previously been a customer of BenQ, with one of their 16:10 lcd's. That was very crisp and smooth, & bright also. I'll keep BenQ on my radar as I need to upgrade in the future. Nice monitors!

3 out of 5 eggsExtremely Disappointing 2D

Pros: If you want this monitor strictly for 3D gaming it is quite awesome. This is the only 3D gaming monitor I've ever owned so I can't compare it to others.

Tomb Raider (2013) in NVIDIA 3D was so incredibly immersive it was INSANE. It completely BLEW MY MIND. In that regard, it was well worth the money, even though the colors absolutely blow in 2D mode.

The presents and OSD hardware controller are awesome too.

Cons: TERRIBLE color accuracy!!

Also, quite often it will get stuck in LightBoost mode after quitting a game that you were playing in 3D mode. Sometimes the only way to get it to go back to normal is to restart your computer which is very annoying.

Other Thoughts: If you care about color and a sharp image even a little bit, you absolutely MUST get another monitor in addition to this. As many reviewers have said, DO NOT count on quality images from this monitor when watching movies, looking at pictures, or any such thing. The color and pixel sharpness is the absolute WORST I've ever seen in ANY monitor!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: 120hz is buttery smooth, 24" is a bigger difference from 23" than I expected, full adjustability, plethora of inputs, headphone out (for audio travelling over DP or HDMI). Looks stunning aesthetically, and once adjusted, the colors, lights, darks are VERY good.

Cons: Time required to calibrate color.

Other Thoughts: You WILL spend a good deal of time adjusting and calibrating this monitor. As has been said in a lot of reviews before me, the color out of the box will be TERRIBLE. I tend to be pretty picky with display quality, so I spent an hour or two adjusting this thing. Spend the time to calibrate and adjust and you will NOT regret the purchase of this monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing Display

Pros: I'm not a fan of 3D gaming. Didn't get this monitor for 3D. However I will say that this monitor performs very well at 120hz. The picture quality is not bad at all for a TN panel. I gotta say I'm also impressed with 3D. I'm running a single GTX 680 with this monitor and I couldn't be happier with the performance. Maybe another 680??

Also the stand is very sturdy. Has a headset hook in the back and a handle for carrying. The hotkey is also a nice feature for navigating through the menus or just to quickly change profiles.

Cons: The viewing angle is horrible. Luckily the monitor has infinite adjustments. Some say price is high, but again its packed with features.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this to anyone looking into a 120hz monitor or wants to play 3d games. It's optimized to work with Nvidia, so ATI users should plan on gaming on 3D with this monitor. Friend of mine could not get it to work with his 7870 card.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best investments to make

Pros: If you're one of those people on the fence about going for a 120hz and/or 3D monitor, do it. I wrote the tech off when it came out because I assumed it was as gimmicky as 3D in the theater (I have yet to try out the 3D on this monitor because my nvidia card is in the process of being RMA'd). It really is the best visual investment you can make to your system. Seeing even the desktop in 120hz makes you never want to go back.

The hotkey switch that is included is awesome. You'd think that it's also a gimmick, but you can download the 'pro' calibration settings on their website and load them into the presets. I find myself swapping these all the time whether I'm looking at my desktop or playing certain game genres. It makes actually going through a monitor's menus a breeze compared to the awkward setup that everyone else is used to seeing.

I'd go into more detail but I'll save everyone the TL:DR.

Pros:
-High range of motion swivel. You can adjust this thing in a huge variety of ways and the stand is very high quality. This monitor also goes vertical if needed.
-Hotkey switch. Explained above.
-120Hz.
-Image quality. Some people can be really picky here. It's very easy to adjust with the menu navigation. I think I care more about how awesome the 120 hz makes everything look.
-Tons of connections. Multiple USB, DVI, HDMI, and a display port.

Cons: Cons:
-Price, depending how much you pay it could be pretty hefty. It is also apparently pretty tough to find these in stock, even on their website.
-Monitor has sensor 'buttons' for power and navigation. It's pretty cool, but a good old fashioned button just works better.
-Can't think of anything serious.

Other Thoughts: If you're on the fence for a 3D monitor, whether it's this one or the other 4 or so major models, do it! I can't be happier, and if your computer is powerful enough to run games at 120 fps, you will love that you're getting all the visuals out of it that you deserve.

1 out of 5 eggsUpdated Review After Buying 2 More Monitors

Pros: Amazing Picture

Great setting and picture adjustment tools

Cons: 3D Vision DOESN'T WORK. I've been having issues with the range of the built in 3D emitter (I have to have my nose 2 inches from the screen for the glasses to receive the signal), and I finally found out why. The built in emitter only works once each time the monitor is plugged in. After that it only works at a fraction of the range it is capable of. Evertime you want 3D to work you must unplug the monitor (simply turning it off will not do the trick).

The viewing angles are also very poor.

Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of these monitors to use for 3D Vision Surround, and all 3 of them have the exact same issue.

I searched online and found a thread of about 30 people who also had the exact same issue. BenQ claims it is not their problem because the Emitter is from Nvidia, and Nvidia claims it is not their problem because they did not build the monitor. So nobody was able to get much help.

I'm returning all 3 of the monitors, and I'm going to buy the XL2420t and a standalone 3D emitter

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for 120hz, but 3D range is lacking

Pros: Amazing picture

Great settings and picture adjustment tools

When 3D Vision works it looks spectacular

120hz makes a huge difference in daily usage and while playing games.

Cons: The built-in 3D emitter has terrible range. If I sit up straight I'm too tall to be in range, and if I slouch backwards I'm too far away from the monitor to be in range.

The viewing angles are also very bad, but not much worse than the average TN panel.

Other Thoughts: I was able to calibrate the display to get accurate colors, and it looks okay that way. However, if you increase the saturation the colors really pop, and it looks amazing.

5 out of 5 eggsPleased

Pros: Short and quick review, normally those whom have gone threw 3 monitors of the same would not rate it 5 stars im choosing to on the basis of strong customer service i had received threw the process of satisfaction. Long story short the first monitor went out on me,the next two that followed, benq replaced had dead or stuck pixels with me still unsatisfied i had reached out to a benq Rep. by the name of nadine whom helped me each time i had been displeased with the replacement monitors issues and with his diligence and understanding resolved my issues until i was satisfied. He and Benq are receiving 5 eggs from me and furthermore more of my business because of this. Side note just like others had said its a tft panel so the colors dont look great out of the box but just like nadine was patient you should be also and the colors and performance of this monitor shine threw.

Cons: The only negitive i would say is i wish the first monitor worked and we didn't have to go threw multiple processes, with that said at the end of the day i still found satisfaction from Nadine and benq.

Other Thoughts: Get yourself one,120hz and you wont look back trust me =).

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Same monitor as the XL2420T except this has the emiter built in, and comes with vision 3D 2 glasses.

5 out of 5 eggsReally good monitor

Pros: Really good 120hz monitor with lots of space to view it causes less strain on your eyes than most monitors if you plan to stay on the pc a lot.

Cons: The only con is the price but you pay for what you get

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this monitor to anyone who is a hardcore gamer.
