5 out of 5 eggsWorth It

Pros: 1080p, nice colors, great pricing.

Cons: VGA cable.... lol seriously?
Lacking in the tilt department.

Other Thoughts: It's worth every penny. 27'' and it's a decent gaming monitor. Not the best in the world because of refresh rate, but it's still a nice screen for the price.

I bought this to go on my $700 gaming computer and I have been in love since I plugged it in. I had a 32'' 1366x768 and this monitor is so much more crisp and pretty.

If you can't afford a $400 or $700 gaming screen, get this.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor with quirks

Pros: Refresh rate is great, just mess around with the settings a little to find where you like it.
Black levels are very deep, and the overall picture is nice.

Cons: The monitor is set to RBG input by default, and the only way to change that is to plug in a device into the RGB port. If you happen not o have an RGB port, on a device, then you are hosed. Something to keep in mind.

3 out of 5 eggsBuy the newer one.

Pros: Cheap for a 27 inch monitor.
Sturdy stand.
Good viewing angles.
Good colors.

Cons: Ghosting. You WILL notice it.

Other Thoughts: Bought this figuring since I was used to a 14ms 19in display I wouldn't be able to significantly notice the ghosting. I was wrong. It's a great display for the prices, but 4ms GTG just isn't QUITE fast enough to be considered applicable if your looking for little to no ghosting.

I suggest this monitor if you're on a budget. It's great for the price. Good colors, sturdy stand, and looks great. I use it primarily for gaming(BF4, DayZ, Etc) Just isn't a game changer for it's price by any means. Buy the newer one advertised at 2ms for only 10 dollars cheaper. Would I buy another? Ehh...Do I regret the buy? Yes, after seeing the newer version for only 10 dollars more.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Workstation Monitor

Pros: This is a great monitor for business

Cons: Its comes with only a VGA cable... not sure why BenQ was thinking... no ones uses VGA anymore- Drop the VGA, include a DVI cable- its 2014 not 2004.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor, but make sure you go out and buy a DVI cable with it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcelent

Pros: Crisp clean display that is quickly and easily assembled. Sturdy base and easily adjustable. Colors are vibrant and the auto detect input works well.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This is one of three 27" monitors I have and it fits nicely in my setup. I use it for both work and play and response time is excellent for all types of use. My other monitors are LCD and I will say that the LED is very nice. I will be replacing one of my other monitors with another of these soon.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent HD monitor!

Pros: Top quality 1920x1080 display
High brightness
Good color balance, including truly "white" whites
No dead pixels
Good assortment of input connectors
Stand is more solid than most
Reasonable menu system

Cons: Stupid advertising screen on powerup, lasts a few seconds
Only cable included was VGA (?!?)

Other Thoughts: Waited for a well-reviewed 27 inch monitor to go on sale so I could have a 27+secondary on both workstation and desktop. This one came available for $179 so I pulled the trigger, and I'm quite happy with the results.

Compared to my other 27 (a Samsung), this monitor is MUCH brighter, has MUCH whiter whites, and FAR better color range/contrast. Might be due to this monitor's VA display, or just because it's more recent overall technology, but the difference is incredible. If I weren't so cheap I'd buy another just so my 27's would match.

Many people complain about the stands on these larger monitors being wobbly. This one is more solid than those on my smaller secondary displays. Is it rock solid? Of course not, but it's more than good enough. Regular typing and other normal activities on the same table causes absolutely zero monitor movement whatsoever.

Brightness is spectacular. It came set to 100% and I had to back it off to 75% just to tolerate it - which I consider a plus, because if I ever need to use this in a bright room for a presentation I know it will be more than up to the task.

It's a little strange that the one and only included cable was a DB-15 VGA cable. Who would ever use a VGA cable for 1920x1080x60Hz? At this price not really a complaint, just an odd choice on BenQ's part.

I tend to keep my user interface components (monitors, keyboards, mice) for a very long time, whereas the computers under them change and upgrade quite often. Thus I'm willing to spend a bit more money on things like monitors because I know I'll be using them for a while. For that reason, I seriously considered going to a 2K or 4K class monitor this time around... until I realized that, when I'm working, I NEVER find myself wishing I had higher resolution. I develop software, plus spend lots of time in Premiere Pro (video editing) and Photoshop (photo editing), yet 1920x1080 continues to be plenty of resolution. I don't game at all, so 60Hz is plenty of refresh rate. What DOES matter to me is screen real estate, and for $179 I don't know of a better deal for 27 inches of excellent monitor.

Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Good picture, speakers are decent, great for price. I've had this thing for over a year and haven't had any issues.

Cons: The only thing that could make this better is a second hdmi so I wouldn't have to switch between my PC and PS4. (I know I can buy a switch, but meh.) Oh and making the stand adjustable for taller people.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again. I love the BenQ brand. This is my second, they last forever, my last one lasted a good 6-7 years.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Large for the price
Very bright (also a con)

Cons: Very bright
Definitely the largest size I would get this resolution

Other Thoughts: I'm accustomed to very small, sharp, and glossy laptop displays. This is my first desktop monitor in quite some time so I have very little to compare it to (plus I can't afford to be that picky). This monitor is especially excellent if you get it on sale, very large for the price. I turn the brightness down as needed, and like other reviewers mentioned you cannot configure HDMI without VGA so keep that in mind. Other than that no problems to speak of!
-I use this for gaming and another user mentioned premium AMA settings helping with ghosting, so I turned it on initially but found I had a better experience with the default setting.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Had an older 24" and 19" LCD for work doing CAD. Replaced 19" with this and "Wow" the difference between the this and the 24". wish I had bought 2. Do not use speakers so I can't speak to that.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Will be getting another to replace my 21" at home.
