5 out of 5 eggsHaving a good time

Pros: need plenty of space on the desktop? got eye strain? need some height and tilt adjustments?

this monitor has it all. if your a writer or reader, this monitor can tilt a full 90 degree clockwise to suit your reading or writing needs.

this also reduces eye strain greatly. i was able to play on this monitor at 144hz with no problems for about 6 hours. the only time i got tired was because i was really getting tired naturally and not because of the monitor. I know this because i always got tired fast on my old 60hz crt monitor

Cons: none really.

5 out of 5 eggsThe one, The only

Pros: This monitor was loe at first site, i been browsing newegg for a good amount of time and this was the only one to really catch my eye. Ordering and shipping went smoothly, order it Friday and received it Tuesday on time. Setting it up was no hassle. The picture quality on this thing is unrivaled to any monitor that ive had before. The headphone stand on the back is cool too

Cons: Only con would be the monitor shakes when the laundry is on since it rotates, maybe a rotation lock or something could help that.

Other Thoughts: Of the price isnt a scare for you i would highly recommend this monitor

5 out of 5 eggsBest monitor I have ever owned!

Pros: Great monitor. I can notice the difference between this and my Asus 24" 60hz. My Asus is IPS and the colors and angles are great because it’s an IPS, but this monitor is not bad. The crisp and sharpness makes up for the slightly barely noticeable color and viewing angles differences. I would greatly recommend this monitor.

Cons: The display pilot software causes the monitor to flicker on start up. This can be solved by not using it. I like it because I have 3 monitors and it makes snapping things between the monitors faster. Reds and yellows are a little off.

Other Thoughts: I love this thing, when you start to game make sure you set the 144hz in windows and games to see the difference. I hate my monitor at work because of this one.

4 out of 5 eggsThis Monitor...

Pros: 1. The shipping from the newegg nj warehouse is amazing...The monitor came the next day with the free shipping.
2. I can barely notice the 144hz until i switch back to 60hz. Then I'm like whoa everything is so choppy.

Cons: I'm in need of a color profile. Colors are bad straight from the box.

5 out of 5 eggsFeature rich -- looks like a WIN for the Money!

Pros: There are all sorts of complications. Suppose you have your two workstations independently connected to your AVR/HDTV? Suppose they're also connected through the KVM to a single desktop keyboard, mouse and monitor? And -- you want to go "digital." A Smart-AVI 4-port KVM (HDMI/USB) can cost about $450. There are limitations with DVI/USB KVMs, and they're still in the $200 range.

Wey-ull, Pilgrim! When your cheap full-HD monitor goes south, you need to do research in a hurry. I'm not ready for 4K yet. But I wanted certain gaming features, 1ms response time, 144hz refresh rate, and Nvidia 3D. The XL2420Z has all that for it's ~$330 price-tag.

But it gets better. You can connect multiple PCs (or Xbox, PS3/4, etc.) to the several inputs (but forget VGA -- no more, no more!) The monitor comes with an "S.Switch" -- sort of custom mouse with scroll wheel and programmable buttons. This enables quick access to the OSD (on-screen-display [menus]) by just pressing the scroll wheel. You can forego buying a new KVM switch if you can learn to click through about two menus and change the input selection. Voila! You switched from PC#1 . . . to PC#2!! And it behaves like a pro-quality KVM switch -- never loses the signal, doesn't rearrange any desktops! Not much inconvenience -- continuing to use the Belkin KVM for mouse and keyboard. Just a couple extra steps, and no additional outlay.

I'm either Rip Van Winkle waking up to StarTrek Enterprise HD monitors after using an old DC3 relic HD monitor from 2009 . . . or . . . this thing is truly a marvel for the price! You can get 144 Hz refresh on one input, and run the other input @ 60 Hz -- no problem! None at all!

It's got a 3 year warranty. The tech-support guys have been marvelous stand-up champs -- scholars, princes and gentlemen! I am truly happier than a pig in slop [carefully chosen word]!! If the XL2420Z goes south before it's time, I'll post a rectifying review.

But I really, really doubt it. . . .

A footnote to the Egg. I know some folks have had troubles with shipping, packaging, maybe RMAs. But the Egg has always been stand-up terrific for me. I think I ordered this monitor on Sunday, and it was here on Wednesday. Good going, folks!

Cons: It's so feature-rich, that it takes a lot of work and time to go through the color calibration and other menus to set up. But it's worth it -- every penny and every minute of your time! The display is VERY Bright-- BRITE -- Burrr-RIGHT! But you can adjust this puppy.

Other Thoughts: Some think this monitor is a bit "pricey." Any old desktop HD monitor can be had for between $150 and $250 -- good brand names -- check the Egg. But for its price-tag, I think you get what you pay for. BenQ tech-support has been superb. The previous reviewers liked it. I like it. You're going to like it, if you're not eager to spend $700 for 4K right now.

3 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Nice specs, decent price.

Headset hanger in back. Cool mouse type interface for the OSD.

Tilt, swivel, height adjustment.

Cons: DOA...would not even power on. I am rating it three eggs, based upon the fact I probably would have loved it but a DOA could be a QC issue at BenQ.

Other Thoughts: I broke my #1 rule of monitor buying...never buy online. Locally only for easy return and to minimize the risk that a DOA might be the result of ultra cold weather or carrier handling.

5 out of 5 eggsGEOREOUS MONITOR

Pros: -Great swivel system, you can allow it to be viewed at any angle! Really... Any angle lol - amazing for 144hz refresh
-Beautiful color
-I personally use it for gaming and every game I play on Max!! settings looks amazing...
-very heavy and study... Confidence in quality
-hundreds of settings to customize your computers monitor...via program and touch panel buttons on side of monitor.

Cons: -Viewing angles.. But it is a TN panel... This is to be expected... I don't mind since the swivel and height adjust is so amazing! I use to own an LG ips panel display and it was amazing!! But I would never switch back considering it is 1ms response and 144hz refresh! !

5 out of 5 eggsBenQ makes the best gaming panels!!

Pros: LOVE this TN panel!! I actually bought the XL2420TE, this is basically the same exact panel just updated version.
144hz refresh rate
1ms response time
LightBoost
Motion Blur Tech
Nvidia 3-D Vision 2
Amazing colors once you calibrate correctly.
My guess is the other reviewers who claim the colors are bad, is because they are clueless and have no idea how to calibrate a TN panel.......
Took about 20 mins to set up(couple ways to calibrate color either a app called ScreenBright, through the graphic cards DDC/CI menu, or through Windows Appearance/Display Center. Once you get your pre-sets all set up, you will love this panel!!!
I went from a Samy 60hz XL2370(2010's 24inch gaming panel of the year) to this and WOW what a huge difference!! BenQ in fact does beat Asus in just about every benchmark when it comes to gaming panels.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing Gameplay, But horrible colours

Pros: This monitor is a fantastic pleasure to use. It has great features like Motion Blur reduction, that takes some time to get used to (It heavily darkens the screen) And a great black equalizer feature. Wise of Pros, it is a great monitor.

Cons: Well the big one is Price, I paid $340 for it with free shipping, but that was still a lot., especially considering at the time the Asus 144Hz was $240 (But out of stock). My biggest issue with this monitor, however, is the menu. When first accessed, the menu shows a vast cornocopia of options, as if you could find yourself lost in its depths for hours. However, after a closer examination most of the options are completely blacked out and unusable, particularly the more entising ones.

Other Thoughts: While great monitor all and all, for the Price there are definitely better choices, but this is definitely one of the better ones. Get it on sale, and that's only if you can't get the newer G model.
