5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Monitor

Pros: ~144hz!~
~1ms response!~
~No light flickering!~
~NO GHOSTING! Yes!~
~Awesome, super stable stand! Very adjustable~
~Very handy detachable screen controller!~
~Packaging was very nice, dual-link DVI and VGA cable incl.~
*(pro tip, don't use the VGA cable)
~Even came with a black cover for the screen when not in use!~

Cons: There's a bit of tweaking that you will have to do to make the colors out of the box look better. It's not bad though.
*My screen settings*
Blur Reduction: On
Brightness: 100
Contrast: 40
Black eQualizer: 2
Color Temp. R G B: all 100
Sharpness: 6

For now, this looks pretty good to me. I may change in the future. Hope it helps.

I just found one dead pixel about 3in from center towards the top right corner. I didn't take any Eggs off because I don't even see it unless I'm actually looking hard for it.

Other Thoughts: 144hz really does make a difference. I came from a 60hz ASUS that was not bad, but after long sessions (6-9hrs) of BF3 + BF4 and other fps games, my eyes would be just wore out. I've done some gaming with this monitor and my eye fatigue isn't near as bad. The smoothness is just so good, and my K/D ratio has improved so drastically that other people think I am cheating. (maybe not a good thing? :L )This was money well spent.

I know that you guys probably already knew this, but just in case you didn't. If you are still running Win7, like me, make sure you go to your display settings and go to the monitor tab. Select 144hz as your refresh rate. There! At first I couldn't tell the difference in Windows when I first booted up with this monitor, then I realized I was a dummy and didn't change my refresh rate. :3

5 out of 5 eggsGreat panel for gaming

Pros: Really good panel for twitch gaming. It does what you want it to without many problems. Looks like a really good TN panel compared to asus products. Buy it, doesn't get much better than this.

Cons: Firmware version 1 in October, 10, 2014.
Mine came with scratches on the metal base and some other problems with it specifically the HDMI port for my ps3 didn't go full screen 24" and had some artifacts with my pc's graphics card. DVI connection for my PC was fine and it did run at 144hz and plays BF4 well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat step up from my 60 hz 1680x1050 monitor

Pros: Colors aren't as bad as people say once you get them calibrated to your liking.

144 hz really enhances your computer experience, especially in fps games.

FANTASTIC stand.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I will tell you this right now, I was really indecisive when trying to pick out a new monitor because a ton of IPS fan boys kept saying that the colors on TN panels are horrific. That is not in any sense the case. I went to the store to compare this monitor with another IPS monitor and the difference is negligible. Why sacrifice an extremely smooth experience with 144 hz for a couple of pretty colors? If you plan to game on your PC then this monitor is a good choice. If you really need the color accuracy for something like graphic design then IPS is the best choice.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: The monitor is super clear and responsive which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Cons: There are two key issues here and only one is the monitors fault:
1) The colors are pretty bad depending on the settings, but let's be honest we aren't getting this monitor for color reproduction.
2)Newegg, come on.....Still shipping V1 and if I want to upgrade to V2 it's going to cost me 50 dollars for a part that I'll only use once.

Other Thoughts: The reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because the monitor is exactly what I was hoping for it to be and it wouldn't be fair to dock eggs just because the person I bought it from is shipping V1. Even then I ordered this 2 days ago and is already here with the 3 days shipping so hats off to Newegg for that as well as the brown truck that brought it.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Picture quality on this gaming monitor is just amazing. No issues with dead/stuck pixels. No motion blur. The stand that comes with this monitor is perfect as well.

Cons: The default colors need to be tweaked. Also on that note the menu options do leave me searching around to find what I'd like to tweak with this monitor. Honestly though, it is nice that you can change so many settings on this monitor, so it's expected to have some difficulties at first when navigating the menu.

Its not a 4K 144Hz monitor.

Other Thoughts: I could not be happier with this monitor. Fits my needs just fine. I do just about everything on my computer. From watching Movies, Gaming, Work, and general web surfing this thing just makes everything I look at great. My eyes are not tired from looking at this monitor for hours, specially when compared to my old monitor. I may even buy 1 or 2 more. Depends on my needs honestly, but for now I am happy with this.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the best kept secrets in monitors

Pros: Amazing monitor, excellent colors for a tn panel. 60/100/120/144hz options, great user interface and control over settings, multiple input options and a useful alternative input solution.

Cons: none.

5 out of 5 eggsFirmware Update V2

Pros: This monitor can update to newer versions of software. WoW that is amazing. All you need to do is download the XL2720Z firmware and install it and you will have V2. Updates are a improvements to the monitor and this will make your gaming experience better. Ill put a link in here for the firmware V2.

http://gaming.benq.com/downloads

Cons: none that I see...

Other Thoughts: This monitor is by far the best gaming monitor out there. Asus has a basic 144hz monitor for half the price for people that don't like updates lol Good luck and have fun with the leading edge technology.
