3 out of 5 eggsBittersweet

Pros: Beautiful colors. True whites, deep blacks. Low blue light feature is great for late evening reading and viewing.
BenQ support has been very accommodating.
I really love this monitor. It would be an excellent value for the price if it weren't for the annoyance mentioned below.

Cons: One dead, red pixel. I have one annoying red pixel in the upper left quadrant. Can only see it with a very dark or black background. Very annoying when gaming. BenQ offered an advanced placement, which is great, but it's a little annoying to have to pay to ship the original back.
When I got the replacement, it had the same problem, but near the center of the screen. Very annoying. This time BenQ offered to pay for the return shipping on both faulty monitors.

Other Thoughts: There's a good chance I've just hit a stroke of bad luck. When I receive the second replacement, I'll update this review.
One piece of advice: when checking for bad pixels, be sure to check against a back background as well as a white background.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE This Monitor

Pros: Prior to this monitor I have owned an HP that came included with a desktop bundle and an Asus monitor that I purchased later on down the road. Both were alright monitors but I found myself being wowed by other peoples pretty often. A friend of mine bought a BenQ monitor and it looked amazing. So I decided to do the same. Very pleased. This thing looks amazing and especially for the price. Top it off with some small built in speakers and that's just a bonus.

Cons: It doesn't print $100 bills.

Other Thoughts: Look no further. For the price and what you get you really can't beat this thing.

5 out of 5 eggsBenQ GL2460HM 24" 2MS Monitor

Pros: Okaaaaay...
Ordered (2) on Saturday Night, Received Wednesday Afternoon, no complaints there.
After bringing them inside, I didn't open them for 8 hrs. so as to let the temps (from a cold UPS truck) equalize w/ their surroundings.
Very well packaged... kudos
Assembly was quick, as I was overlaying these monitors over a prior installation (Acer).
Unable to load ICC driver possibly due to the O.S. XP pro 64, (I'm still retro) but my Nvidia control panel handled things just fine coupled to my FX4600.
I haven't tweaked any settings due to letting them "burn in" for 24 hrs after initial startup and guess what, pixelation is great, no ghosting, and colors are vibrant.
I have a little jaggedness on (very) large fonts, but is to be expected without it's driver being loaded.
All in all, very satisfied!

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: n/a

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome.

Pros: I upgraded from an budget 18.5" Acer monitor, and boy is this thing awesome. Here's why:

1) This is the perfect size. 24" is not too big and not too small, both for gaming and video editing work. You don't have to move your head to see the whole screen, but it really fills your field of view.

2) Freakin' beautiful display. I had no dead pixels and with a few tweaks using the basic Windows calibration, I'm extremely satisfied with the colors and clarity. For under $150, I don't think it gets much better on a TN panel. And response time is fast.

3) Input options and built in monitor menu options are really good. Nothing to write home about, but it's what you need on a monitor like this.

4) It's BenQ.

Cons: I don't really have any. At this price point you don't usually expect to get tilt, height adjust, etc, so I don't call the lack thereof a con.

Other Thoughts: If this is your budget, get this monitor. If you have $200 to spend, there are other fantastic options, and BENQ makes several of those.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: I bought this monitor to upgrade from a smaller monitor. This one is bigger and looks great. Makes my desktop very readable.

Cons: Only Cons is that the power switch, and all the other control switches, are on the backside of the right side of the monitor. This makes reaching them awkward. I would have preferred that they had the buttons on the side of the bezel.

Other Thoughts: I don't use the built-in speakers or headphones jack. I tested them and they work but I have a nice pair of speakers with a headphones jack so that I don't need to use the ones in the monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor! No resistance to cats.

Pros: Overall, the monitor itself is great! Good resolution, never had any issues with display, very unobtrusive and light, all in all a wonder to work on.

Cons: The monitor is not immune to cats. Specifically, the same lightness that made it easy to move if I had to meant the cat could push it off the desk and break it.

Other Thoughts: Great monitor, would recommend, if pets sometimes get up on your desk I'd be careful about exactly where you put it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor but...

Pros: The monitor is well built and the display is top notch.

Cons: The power button was a little oddly placed but not a big issue. The big issue is that I just noticed that when the screen is displaying an image with darker colors there is a vertical line about 1/8" wide about 7 inches from the right bezel. It's not bad but can be a bit jarring when watching a movie or gaming. I recently contacted them for support but have not yet heard back from them.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a very good monitor for its pricepoint and I hope that my issue will be quickly resolved.
