1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none

Cons: Extremely low dot pitch. Unable to read all the text at the default resolution of 1980 x 1080. This is the worst monitor I have seen in at least 10 years. Dsub, DVI, and HDMI were all the same. This monitor was returned because it was unusable.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor, but HDMI doesn't work

Pros: The monitor has a very crisp and sharp image. The colors are also very vibrant. Its wide screen makes everything seem bigger and it was a bargain. I would recommend it.

Cons: Unfortunately the HDMI slot did not work. I attempted 3 different HDMI chords and none of them worked. I know the chords were OK, because I used the first one to hook up my old monitor to my computer. I had to use a VGA cable to hook up the BenQ monitor. I small problem but would like for the HDMI to work.

5 out of 5 eggsLarge but not expensive

Pros: Very large desktop monitor much better then my old Samsung which got some dead pixels after maybe 2 months. No speakers built in but an easy fix. Works great no complaints so far.

Cons: None so far got exactly what i paid for.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy two but no need when one is already 27'. When on sale don't hesitate.

5 out of 5 eggsHUGE

Pros: Price (one hundred eighty one dollars)
Very Large - great for a gaming PC and we have it hooked up to PS4 via HDMI and it looks great.

Overall we like it very much

Cons: the stand is not very adjustable. I would have liked to lower the monitor for my desk, there is a lot of space between desk top and bottom of monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Display.

Pros: Big. Bright. Crisp. Affordable. Pretty. I don't know what more I could want in a monitor. Everything I've tried looks good on any inputs used. PS4 Games look nice as well.

Cons: Ships with a VGA cable. They could have at least thrown in a DVI cable.

Other Thoughts: I won't claim any gaming, video, photo, or contrast and brightness monitor expertise. I write software and read articles on it all day and it suits my purposes very nicely.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 27"
2ms
HDMI, DVI, D-SUB connections
Arrived with 0 dead pixels.
Color is great after some adjusting.
No built in speakers (yes, this is a pro)

Cons: Not really cons since I knew most this when I bought it.

No display port.
Only 1920x1080
Bright pink BENQ splash screen is annoying when turning on the monitor.
The glossy piano black plastic is a dust magnet.
Button placement is a little awkward, but easy to get used to.

Viewing angles are not as advertised, actually not even close. Screen begins to appear washed out a 45 and 120 degrees horizontally. If I stand up from my desk (monitor is at eye level) screen is washed out and colors distort.

Other Thoughts: I paid $132 for this monitor and I'm loving it despite it's minor flaws. 2ms response time is awesome. 27" seems like the perfect size for PC gaming.

Brightness was maxed out when I first turned it on, and color calibration was way off, but after a bit of tweaking this monitor is great.
