5 out of 5 eggsWonderful monitor

Pros: The size is nice. I sit about 24" from my two monitors and I'm happy.

Cons: It does this weird thing if it's set up to display using the VGA port. If you subsequently come along and plug a HDMI cable into it the monitor wont turn on or be detected in/by Ubuntu 14.04. (I don't remember if I had a problem with Windows 7.) I'm not sure where the problem is (Monitor/laptop/(keyboard/chair)) but I was able to mitigate it by using the manual controls on the side of the monitor by enabling the HDMI input. Then the monitor would turn on when I powered up the monitor. After you do that once it'll switch between the two seamlessly. (But I only tested it enough to get it to work; I didn't test it enough to fully understand the problem then send in a bug report.) It works. I'm very happy with it!

More oddness is that in order for said problem to be corrected you have to restart the laptop. (Or use some other command I'm unfamiliar with) but I've experienced this with 2 separate monitor manufactures on 2 separate laptop manufacturers (Maybe the same video board?).

The resolution only goes to 1080 - but the manufacturer stated that so I'm not complaining, really. Just annotating that here.

Other Thoughts: Overall I really like these monitors. Best I've owned yet. In truth, I purchased 1 monitor to start with. I liked it so much that I purchased another identical one a year later. I was surprised they still carried it; I wanted to ensure both my monitors were identical so I purchased the other one, too. (Plus, I think I paid $179 for the first and $175 for the second).

Wait for them to go on sale - $369 seems a little steep to me. You can a lot more monitor for $369 than these.

5 out of 5 eggsnice monitor for under $200

Pros: I got this monitor when it was on sell for $159.99. It's a great monitor for the price. I would not buy this monitor at retail price though. It's a good monitor for web surfing and watching youtube videos.

Cons: I can definitely see ghosting as I scroll through a web page. I sit about 4 feet away from the monitor. Folks with good vision will probably get pretty annoyed at the ghosting effects. I would take an egg off for this but the low price offset that.

The monitor buttons are a bit awkward to use but not too terrible once you get use to them.

No way to rotate it to portrait mode though with the included stand.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tried this with gaming but I suspect it won't be too terrible.

This is my first 1080p monitor. It's rather wide. It took some time to adjust but not really an issue after a while of use.

I got this to replace my dell monitor when it started exhibiting constant flickering after many years of use.

4 out of 5 eggsnot a bad monitor

Pros: i got this on a great discount deal. picture looks nice and crisp and have no issues.

Cons: the base can be a little hard to remove at times but ok if you dont plan on mounting it later. no remote and terrible placement for the buttons making it a hassle to try and change settings or input. only 1 hdmi port.

Other Thoughts: not sure if its my video card or the monitor but the picture goes black at times and take a couple of seconds to come back

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Monitor

Pros: This monitor is a welcome upgrade from a 24". Its bright, colorful, and sharp. I'm a graphic designer as well as gamer and have not noticed any ghosting that others seem to have a problem with. The 2ms response time should keep ghosting away, which it does in my case. The panel is TN, so the viewing angles aren't made for a group of people really close up, which isn't a problem because I'm always facing it centered anyway and it looks fantastic. I've read a lot of forums and people complain that 27" 1080p monitors have "horrible" resolution for the screen size, which is nonsense. 1080p looks great, even in a 27" monitor. Unless you're REALLY close to the monitor (which isn't healthy anyway), the sharpness/clarity isn't a problem. I've watched movies, surf the web, use photoshop/illustrator, and play games on this bad boy and love every minute of it. **I've had this monitor for a year and a half and use it 8 hours a day**

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This monitor beats out my Hanspree and Acer monitors.

2 out of 5 eggsThis thing is haunted

Pros: Good size, very bright, no dead pixels, I liked the buttons.

Cons: Ghosting. It's awful. Anything with a high contrast produces it, including just scrolling a website. This is a horrible monitor for gaming, as anything on the screen with sharp contrast to what is next to it will ghost if you move the image. Heck, the cursor leaves a ghostly trail. Selling it to someone with bad eyesight who needs the size and won't notice the spooky ghosting.

Other Thoughts: Monitor not intended for people who see well.

1 out of 5 eggsDeal Breaker!

Pros: HDMI, DVI, and VGA connectors. Benq technologies. Easy Windows 7 install. Easy assembly. Light but sturdy. The menu buttons on the right side are intuitive and the menu flows easily.

Cons: Even with equalized room lighting, brightness adjusted down, low blue light set for office use, my eyes are killing me after just one day.

It might also have to do with a 27" monitor at only 1080p. 27" might be too big for only 1080p. Images that look fine on other monitors look grainy on this monitor.

Other Thoughts: Do NOT getting this monitor. Get a 24" 1080p or a 27"+ with 1440p or 4k.

I'm returning this one and getting something else, despite the cost of having to ship it back. It's simply not usable.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for the price!

Pros: Ample digital feeds, control buttons well organized and accessible, great clairity and resolution, excellent monitor for gaming, quick shipping, well packaged, had an accurate description and measurements, GREAT PRICE, a friend of mine suggested this monitor because he had purchased one for his son and was very happy with it, ample adjustments available, great with my online games and with work related spreadsheets and documents

Cons: Other people have mentioned this but I do not see it as a big problem - the stand does let the monitor wiggle a bit if bumped, but it is stable with no apparent chance of tipping over. Mine is on a computer desk and tucked in a bit and only wiggles if I bump the desk with some force. Additionally, ghosting has been mentioned in several reviews and I have noticed some of this. My game play is mostly with WarBirds online and the ghosting only occurs on distant plane icons which actually makes them easier to pick out sooner. All the close in detail does NOT ghost in my experience in several hours use of the monitor.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a monitor in the 27" range this BenQ model deserves to be on your short list. I have recommended this model to several fellow gamers.

4 out of 5 eggsBenQ GL2760H

Pros: Great product for the price especially when running multiple monitors. The option of HDMI, DVI, and Dsub help with connecting when video does not have twin type connectors. Colors look good but lack slightly in richness but overall look great for the price. Lots of viewing space and grows quickly with multiples.

Cons: Base mount a little on the high side. The height does allow my speakers to fit under the edge of monitor making use of the dead space.

Other Thoughts: Great service from Newegg as usual.
