5 out of 5 eggsUse six of these, never had a single issue with any of them.

Pros: No dead pixels.
No banding.
No ghosting during game play.
No driver issues.
Simple menu.
Sound is reasonable if you don't do a dedicated sound system.
Will work fine as a TV hooked up to a cable box, for a small bedroom (no 4k of course).
Were inexpensive when you could get them.
After many years, they still continue work as well as the day I bought them.

Cons: They don' t make them any more.
Obviously they don't do 4k and 4k is getting much closer as a viable gaming platform.

Other Thoughts: Currently playing Path of Exile using multi-seat software and four workstations, each of which uses one of these monitors. Grand kids think I am a genius. Wife uses one as a TV now. One is a spare.

I am going to miss these when I get the ROG ultra wide. They have served me well through three different computer systems.

They don't make'm with this kind of reliability any more.

4 out of 5 eggsI can't find drivers

Pros: N/A

Cons: The biggest issue I have before using this is going to be that I wasn't given a disk for the drivers and I cannot find them online.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: BIG... Especially in small desk where the monitor sits close to you. This computer is used mostly for gaming (Skyrim, and others) and images look great.

Cons: The dreaded "dead pixel" issue. I occasionally experience dead pixels (green pixels) which only bother me because I know they are there; and not necessarily because they get in the way of me playing games, browsing the web, or doing some other work on my PC.

Other Thoughts: I cannot speak of other people who experience the dreaded dead pixels, but IN MY CASE, the problem is not that bad. When I consider everything (the good and the bad), for the price, I think I did a pretty good purchase. Maybe not a GREAT purchase, but a good purchase nonetheless. Knowing everything I know about this unit, if I get a similar deal in the future, I would buy it all over again. For the price I paid for it, I can live with the dead pixel problem.

5 out of 5 eggsBest monitor for your money

Pros: Nice crisp screen, no dead pixels.

Cons: Black levels are not uniform (especially light around the borders)

The image quality is also painfully bad at lower resolutions

Other Thoughts: Even with the black levels being a bit of a distraction I'm giving 5 stars just from the immense value vs other monitors.

2 out of 5 eggsBacklight Bleed

Pros: Great Picture.

Cons: Monitor came with one stuck pixel that I could not remove. The backlight bleed is insane(every edge of the screen 1/2 inch).

Other Thoughts: I am in the process of returning this monitor for a refund to buy a better monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsOwned for 2 years

Pros: No discoloration when viewed from different angles. Some flatscreens cannot see yellow in excel, this monitors color is fine. I have had this monitor for almost 2 years and I still think it is beautifull. Some large monitors have bulky casings but the casing on this monitor is the perfect size and when you look at the monitor you see the screen and not the casing. The casing is black and thin and not raised very much.

Cons: If you try to connect this monitor to a blu ray player and use it like a TV then you may be disappointed in the movie quality and sound. (However its the best computer monitor I have seen)

Other Thoughts: Look at the inbuilt speakers as a bonus for when you need them and not as a feature of the monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent monitor.

Pros: Huge display compared to my old 19" I now use as a second display to monitor core temp, gpu temp, drive status/temp, network status etc. No dead pixels upon arrival and after 3 moves it's still running strong. Considering replacing the old 19" with another one of these.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: The brightness and colors were a little off when I first got the monitor, you just have to play with the settings on the monitor itself and your graphics card.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Purchased 2 of these to replace my mix & matched 23" and 24" monitors. They work wonderfully. No dead pixels after a few months of use (and I mean a lot of use, I typically game a few hours a night).

Cons: Only con would only be noticed if you sit lower than your monitors. I tend to slouch in my chair when relaxing watching a movie or tv show and the screen can get somewhat dark. Not enough to dock an egg though, just reminds me to sit up straight.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid, some issues

Pros: big display
sturdy base
good brightness
all-around respectable construction and design.

Cons: cost (varies)
bad viewing angles
some light bleed

Other Thoughts: I got the monitor on sale for $220, and at that price I think it was a good purchase.

However, there are some noteworthy issues that I think disqualify it at anything more than $250: in dark scenes there is an observable light bleed which really bothers me when watching/playing something with a lot of dark scenes. In brighter settings the image is great, but while I was watching through game of thrones I was constantly annoyed by the bright spots on the edges.

The viewing angles are also rather poor; I currently have the monitor more or less level with my head, and on the upper portion of the screen there is a noticeable shift in color if I raise out of my seat slightly. I'm sure it would go away if I lower the monitor a few inches, but a better monitor would not have the same problem in this position. This becomes especially apparent in dark scenes as well.

all in all I'm satisfied with my purchase; if I want great image quality and dark blacks I will watch on a proper TV. But I only say that having gotten $110 off the list price, don't pay more than $250 for this monitor, at that point the competition can probably beat this one for image quality.
