Cons: The display is poor. The brightness is pretty dull, and glass cover makes it even worse. The colors are not as vivid as in non-touchscreen monitors. I returned it (ended up paying over $50 for shipping back and restocking fee), and got a regular monitor without touchscreen.

Other Thoughts: Do not go for a cheap touchscreen monitor. It will ruin your vision with years of use. Unless you are willing to pay a lot of money for a good touch screen, just get a regular monitor.

Cons: It is not really setup for windows 8. The swipe from the side doesn't work in any direction. Touching anywhere in the middle works perfect though.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great product, good resolution, fairly good speakers, and is fairly durable, when i first opened it and pulled it out, i clumsily set it at an awkward angle causing it to fall over, screen first, and it took no damages, i really like this monitor, and recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a fairly inexpensive touch monitor.

Did I mention that it was very reasonably priced? About half of what you pay for a capacitive touch screen?

Touch seems responsive enough. Multi-touch supports two touch points (only as far as I can tell) so pinch zoom works fine.

Included touch pen with slide in storage a nice touch if you need to get accurate.

Cons: One pixel stuck on green. Don't know if its possible to "massage" it out or not because of the touch screen part.

The outside bezel, while not very wide (good if you were using in a multi monitor setup), DOES stick out from the panel by about a quarter of an inch. Makes it difficult to reach the edges of the screen for those wonderful hidden charms in Win 8. In other words, its difficult to register a touch on the edge and get those charms to appear. After I found the calibration deal (Start Charm -> Search -> "Calibration" will get you there) it made it so I don't have to get quite so close to the edge to do those swipes successfully.

More expensive than a non-touch monitor. =)

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the monitor. I was a little leary about it cause it was so much cheaper than everything else. Was also worried that there were only 3 reviews (even though they were all good). But now that I have it, those fears about making a bad purchase are gone. The wife and 7 and 4 year old are able to use the touch just fine, and a super fancy/expensive display panel would have made no difference to them, so this fits my needs just about right.

Pros: Touch screen works well. I use it for my job all day. Working well with Kubuntu Linux.

Cons: The light it puts out is a bit harsh on the eyes compared to the LED screens.

Other Thoughts: Overall it works well. I probably would have bought an LED model to save eyestrain if I had it to do over again.

Pros: Easty to install on Windows 8, plug and play. Good screen resolution, imprest with the response andf display [differs for diffrent individuals

Cons: I had to start using the screen pen, as my fingures were too large for some icons, however if you expand the area with two fingures no problem.

Other Thoughts: The pen holder at the bottom is useful. and the mounting is diffrent from most fixed screen monitors. Also remember with touch screen the monitor has to be stable.

Cons: picture quality leaves some to be desired, pairing this up directly against my Asus 24" 1080p monitor, the picture quality is noticeably "cheaper", the colors are not nearly as vivid and leaves much to be desired. While the mounting stand is supportive for touchscreen use, the plastic lower mount feels cheap and flimsy and I would not put it past it if it would break with repeated movement of the monitor on the desk.

Other Thoughts: Overall I think it was a great buy for what I set out to accomplish. The customer required touchscreen functionality and this monitor was a considerable upgrade over the hardware they were using prior. Although I have no experience with Planar products in the past and have not heard much of the brand, it seems to be relatively well made overall. Although I cannot speak on longevity as it has only been in use for under a week.
