5 out of 5 eggsGreat display

Pros: -Cheap respectively
-Crisp 4K display
-Vibrant Colors

Cons: -TN Panel

Other Thoughts: After reading the previous reviews, I've decided to throw my review out there. I've owned 2 of these panels for 3/4's of a year now, and they have been nothing but great. The viewing angles are normal to that of TN panels. The LED Backlight bleed through is minimal (atleast on my 2 displays), and I know this effect changes from display to display. Neither panels came with a broken stand, dead pixels, or any other defective functions that would warrant a return. The buttons have never had a 'ghost miss-click' and work well. The only *bad* thing about this monitor that I can say is, it isn't equipped with 'vsync' or 'free-sync', and its default display mode isn't DP1.2. You have to go through the menu to and set up the 60Hz 4k picture.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat experience

Pros: No dead pixels (knock on wood).
Looks fantastic.
Price at time of purchase ($450)
Responsive buttons

Cons: As some report, the stand is a bit flimsy. The monitor moves when I push buttons. However, the buttons are very sensitive and the stand is large enough to keep it from tipping.

Other Thoughts: This is my first 4k monitor. I would buy another one if I was in the market for a new 4k monitor.
Being un-initiated to display port, I didn't know I had to adjust the monitor to the proper mode through the on-screen menu. Caused me about 30 seconds of panic that I had mis-ordered. It has the ability to run 4 input at the same time. I've got another DP cable on the way to see if I can make window sizing and positioning easier for windows by running 4 1920*1080 signals to it.

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic 4k uhd monitor

Pros: 4k (uhd) resolution!
picture at 4k is beautifully crisp
viewing angles aren't bad
contrast seems great for a TN panel
very usable (even if a bit small) for me at default (100%) desktop scaling in windows

Cons: stand is indeed a bit wobbly as the other reviewer noted, but the amount of wobble isn't catastrophic for me (although probably worse than an other monitor stand I've come across) - there is a VESA compatible mounting bracket, so the stand can easily be replaced.
28-inch size makes for small ui elements at default 100% scaling in windows - small but not unusably so (not really a con of this specific product - just a general issue to consider for 28-inch 4k monitors).

Other Thoughts: not sure why the other review - states that 4k resolution cannot be achieved. I had no problems with getting 4k (uhd) res using a displayport cable. I'm using it with a mini-displayport to displayport cable from my surface pro 3 (SP3). connection works just fine either directly from my SP3 or from the SP3 docking station.
Tom's hardware has a nice thorough (very positive) review of this monitor that convinced me to pull the trigger, and (at the time of my purchase) newegg's price was much better than aamazon's.
I'd read that 4k resolution resulted in unusably small UI elements using MS-Windows at the default (100%) desktop scaling. But to my surprise, this scaling is still very usable for me with monitor positions at the back of my desk - maybe 24-30 inches from my eyes. In fact, I slightly prefer 100% desktop scaling to 125% for my setup, and I thus don't need to worry about whether individual applications properly support the 125% desktop scaling mode in windows, which has traditionally been a big problem that many have written about.
I've even noticed that the current version of google chrome appears to finally support desktop scaling properly, as this (hidpi support) has been a very long-standing issue for windows PCs (the OSX version of chrome has been fine with this for 2+ years now on mac retina displays).

2 out of 5 eggsCheap trash

Pros: Inexpensive. Energy-efficient?

Cons: Stand arrived broken, entirely plastic, wobbles at the slightest touch.
Clusters of dead pixels near center of screen, no QA.
Capacitive touch buttons are poorly placed, unresponsive, sometimes register phantom presses. Oh, and even touching them makes the display wobble.
Menu interface isn't even native resolution for the panel, slow to navigate because of the garbage buttons.
Couldn't get any of the digital inputs to work with an AMD Radeon. DVI didn't work, even with a dual-link cable. HDMI didn't work. DisplayPort didn't work (neither 1.1 nor 1.2). Black or corrupted screens on all. Hooked it up via VGA and was back at 2048x1152, but at least I had a GUI. Hooray.

Other Thoughts: I don't know why I thought this was a good idea. I never even got a 4K picture out of it.
