5 out of 5 eggsBest underrated monitor

Pros: Beautiful colors
Lightning fast response time and refresh rate
Easy to use controls
Beautiful image overall

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I was on the hunt for a monitor for a while and didn't like the Asus vg248 because it only used a 6bit color depth where as this guy uses 8 bit and has a crazy fast 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate, for the money this is the best monitor you could get your hands on! I love it

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: Fantastic monitor, easy setup, and the display is amazing. Incredible detail and the text is smooth regardless of how small. If you appreciate small detail in gaming and video HD quality, this is a great pick. Got it on sale for 300 and it was worth every penny.

Cons: The power cord is really short. Had to buy an extension cord for me to maintain my dual monitor setup. Not worth taking a star though.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Monitor

Pros: Out of the box this monitor was easy to assemble and looked beautiful. Having different user options is always a plus since my wife plays different games on my rig.

Cons: The directions could be a little more user friendly. My wife tried to program colors and display for her games and it took me helping her to get it just right.

3 out of 5 eggsMonitor seemed great, arrived with dead pixels.

Pros: Monitor comes with lots of extras like cables, and an attachable cable management hook. Screen is crisp and extremely bright. There is some guides online to setting it to the perfect settings.

Cons: Two blue stuck pixels when displaying black. Had to return it.

4 out of 5 eggsAs good as TN gets.

Pros: Colors out the box are better than most other calibrated high-end TN monitors.
Build quality is outstanding.
Not the slightest issue with the two of them I ordered.
User Interface is clean and easy to navigate.
Clean 144hz.
Option to turn the power LED on or off.

Cons: Included cables are the shortest I've ever seen (really, this is no joke).
Drivers don't work at all.
Only rotates clockwise.
Buttons on the bottom are kind of superfluous as their functions can be toggled in the options menu rather fast.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat gaming monitor for the price range

Pros: Absolutely night and day to my old 60 Hz Asus monitor. The smoothness in games where super high FPS is possible (e.g. CS:GO) is greatly beneficial. Great deal when on sale with free shipping (I bought it during a sale on Newegg and it came the next day).

Setup and colours out of the box were great (brightness was a tad on the high end but not blinding or anything). Checked for dead pixels and none to be found (don't think this is really a problem manufacturers should have anymore compared to 6-7 years ago).

Cons: No cons at this time, just started using it, love the feature options including multiple inputs and USB hub capability

5 out of 5 eggsBest Monitor I Have Ever Owned

Pros: This is a fantastic monitor. I got it while it was on sale and do not regret the purchase one bit.

Pros:
- Easily the best monitor stand I have ever owned. It moves every direction possible, tilt, height, swivel, etc. Not only that, but it does so effortlessly, when you adjust it, it just glides smooth as silk.
- 144hz if you get the right cable. See notes below for more on this if you are interested
- All the display ports you could need, DVI, HDMI, VGA, etc.
- The colors are vivid and distinct. Blacks and whites look great too. I have this monitor next to a couple of old ones from my previous build and the colors/blacks/whites on the LG put those ones to shame. The old ones look washed out and antique.
- Options. So...Many...Options. The menu is easy to navigate, their control stick is easy to get to, works great and does its job well. As far as options are concerned, there are many built in viewing modes as well as a list of Gamer modes that you can customize to look however you want.
- No dead pixels - that's always a nice bonus, right?

Overall, a great monitor, you really can't go wrong with LG monitors, in my experience, they always build and sell a quality product.

Cons: The only con I had had to do with getting dual screens to work with my video card EVGA GTX 980. I had to trouble shoot for a couple of days because I couldn't get the new monitor to show anything when I fired up the new rig. The only reason I am putting this here is to inform anyone who was or is in the predicament I was in.

I tried all kinds of workarounds - made adjustments to several software programs, updated drivers, adjusted bios settings, etc. and the way I fixed the issue was so simple that I never would have figured it out on my own.

If you are having the same problem I did, try this...Open the options menu on your monitor, scroll to the bottom of the grey table of contents bar and choose the option "Reset". It will reset all of the monitor's settings to factory. Honestly, I don't even know what resetting the options did in relation to my problems with dual monitors, but after I did it, everything started working properly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor. Crisp and clean

Pros: -144Hz!

-comes with dvi cable

-SUPER easy to assemble

-only used it for 1min to test it out, but the swivel to turn vertical is a plus

-nice clear images

-has lots of ports. 2 hdmi, 1 dp, 1 dvi, and 1 vga

Cons: -not going to take out a egg for this, but i think the lowest brightness setting is still kind of bright in a dark room.

-if you're the type who has to have the settings in a certain way, it might take a while to get used to. the different profiles (such as gaming, picture mode, movie mode, DAS, motion 240, etc) sometimes won't work if another setting is turned on. so you're just going to have to read the manual or browse around online if you want the perfect settings and how to go about it

-doesn't come with a display port cable

-price :(

Other Thoughts: This is a very nice monitor. It is pricey, got mine for $300, but it also came with GTAV on PC for free so it wasn't too bad. Looks aesthetically pleasing, and the image is already very nice with the preset settings, so if you're not adamant about getting the 100% best image quality, using it straight out of the box is still very nice.

The only real complaint I have about this is I wish the lowest brightness setting were dimmer, as I feel it's still too bright in a dark room.

A minor issue I have is the with the settings. I you're a settings buff, it might take you a while to understand all the settings and which ones work with which, since turning on some settings won't allow you to activate others. Personally it's not a big deal to me, i just got a little annoyed when some of settings were unchoosable because of another settings i had enabled.

Including the dvi cable was really nice so I didn't have to go out and buy one. for those of you who can't reach more than 60 refresh rate, make sure you're not using an HDMI cable. I've seen a lot of reviews and complaints about people purchasing 120/144Hz monitors, hooking up the hdmi and not being able to access more than 60Hz. It's because HDMI cables are bottlenecked to 60Hz. DVI or DP has to be used to get more than 60Hz

Overall I'm very happy with this monitor. The images are crisp and clear, even if you don't adjust any of the settings and it's very easy to set it up and get it started

4 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: Beautiful design
Simple assembly
Bright and sharp text
Blur free motion when set to 120Hz
As quick as any LCD I have ever tested my reaction on and 144Hz makes motion very smooth in games.

Cons: Even with DAS on and 144Hz I had a longer reaction time than a CRT monitor running at 180Hz by 15-20ms.
Colors of fast moving objects bleed in DAS mode. Visible input delays present on the motion 240 modes but the blur IS cleared up.
I live in a studio apartment and the monitor in standby mode blinks the LED all night, even if you turned power LED off in the menus. To turn the monitor completely off, it shines a blinding grey tone across the entire panel first to show the menu.

Pretty confusing to figure out when the different modes apply. Power saving can only be used without DAS. DAS can only be used without motion 240. Picture mode can't be used with Gaming modes. 144Hz (intuitively) can't be used if you want motion 240.
You can get the monitor to do what you want but it will take a few days understanding the menus

Color accuracy, do not buy this for editing images, extensive online shopping for color sensitive items. Just moving your head up and down is enough to slightly change shades. The monitor is wide enough too that images I know should be a solid tone look slightly gradient towards the corner of the screen. Can't take too many stars away for this as all fast gaming LCD panels likely have this problem.
Energy saving mode even on "Low" causes whole screen shifts of brightness that are annoying.

Other Thoughts: This was my first LCD monitor since using a high end CRT monitor the past 10 years. People who are comparing it to other LCDs will likely feel better about it.
