4 out of 5 eggsawesome looking display!

Pros: -big
-looks great
-good sale price

Cons: -WOBBLY STAND (*if you have a wobbly desk*), i stuck 2 firm black foam pieces between the bottom of the screen and the top of the base and its great now.. but yeah that kind of defeats the clean lines of the thin stand.

-doesnt come with an HDMI cable, but i already knew that before i bought it
-single joystick button operation, but thats not a big deal once you use it a few times

Other Thoughts: overall its a nice monitor. i would definitely recommend it if its on sale.

1 out of 5 eggs LG Man

Pros: Worked good for about a month.

Cons: It broke about a month of use. It claims 3 Year manufacture warranty about Going through LG is a nightmare. They're so slow at replying and getting through with a solution. They sent me a confirmation that they received my monitor. Three weeks go by, and im waiting for a new monitor or a fixed one at my door step. Nothing happens. So i called them and they said that now that i called, and seen that they have no more in stock. That they'd send me a check for 140$. It took three weeks for them to establish this. This is absurd. Don't buy From LG.

3 out of 5 eggsGREAT picture quality

Pros: + Great picture quality
+ The menu/power control knob is kinda neat

Cons: - FLIMSY back panel where the connections are. It's so bad I was really concerned I'd break something plugging my cables in! -2 eggs for this.

Other Thoughts: LG tends to deliver good quality at good prices, but the iffy panel on the back of this monitor has me worried. That said, it's really the only bad thing I have to say about it and I wouldn't be nearly as concerned if I didn't have small children that like to fool with my stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsPerforms Very Well. I'm a Happy Customer

Pros: Sharp photo and video display. Sets up quickly. Excellent angle of view.

Cons: DVD-ROM had instructions for special features only in Hangul (Korean). Picture adjustments very limited.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend it to anyone. I'm using it also as my main TV set, with a two-way HDMI switch, connecting to a computer and a DVR. My old HDTV displays 720p and this monitor shows a much better picture. I found that the out-of-box settings were close to being right and only reduced the brightness in the Custom Mode, down to 92. My old LG monitor had many more options for adjustments and it drove me wild for a couple of months, fiddling with them. This one will be simpler to handle.

I'm glad i resisted the urge to get either a 2K or a 4K monitor, as I think that for most purposes, the Full HD resolution will show things better. I might buy a 4K 27-inch monitor later, but use it just for showing Ultra Hi-Def video and perhaps high-resolution photos.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst 1080p Monitor

Pros: It's beautiful
Works exactly as it should
Got it for a great price

Cons: The stand is kinda weird to put together but it works and isn't too wobbly.
Only two inputs (1x HDMI, 1x VGA) - not a problem for me but could be for others.

Other Thoughts: This monitor has completely changed my computing experience and I've only been using it for about 6 hours now. Coming from a 1080p HDTV having to use 720p only this is amazing. Would love to pick up another one down the road for dual monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent IPS monitor with stunning contrast & blacks for the price

Pros: -IPS panel
-Viewing angle
-Black blacks
-Blinding contrast
-Gorgeous color gamut

Cons: -Moderate wobble, but typical/not unusual/within median wobble range
-Black light bleed on one monitor on black windows boot screen. Not noticed at any other time. Only one one panel, appears to be due to slight pressure of the bezel on the matte

Other Thoughts: I picked up two of these for a second basement computer setup to have dual monitors. I am very particular of the color temperatures of identical monitor models matching exactly out of the box (I picked up and returned two ShellShocker Dell IPS panels that were so far off despite countless calibration attempts it was pathetic). These matched up right out of the box without calibration to my great satisfaction. Myself and others have mentioned the back light bleed, but I literally only see it on the BIOS and Windows boot screen, not in dark video scenes or anytime else. It also was only one one of the two, which I made the secondary monitor. Lastly, concerning the wobble. The monitor wobbles to a moderate degree, but nothing more than other lower-cost thin, lightweight panels. My lightweight Ikea desk on carpet certainly contributes. I reduce a majority of the wobble by having the monitor edges press against one another in a dual monitor setup, which stabilizes it considerably.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent monitor, but nothing special

Pros: Great colors, the stand is easy to set up, the bezel looks good, it's a monitor.

Cons: The power plug IS NOT the standard 3 pin plug used by computer power supplies or other monitors. It's an LG single pin plug. I knocked off an egg for this, because standards are there for a reason.

Other Thoughts: There was really only one funky thing with this, which wasn't worth knocking off an egg for: There is only a single button on the entire monitor. It's a "joystick" button. You push it once to get a menu, then you have 4 different directions in order to navigate and select from the menus. It's nice for looks, but a bit odd for functionality. For example, I have to do two separate key presses to turn the monitor off instead of just one. It's small, but you should know about it.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Dual Monitor Setup is now Complete!

Pros: Given that I got this thing for 110$ during the black Friday sale I'd say everything about this item is amazing.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsLove these screens!

Pros: Wonderful color, brightness, and sharpness.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use a pair of these (dual monitors) for code development and general computing. With the HDMI connection, very sharp and clear. No pixel issues on either screen - perfect right out of the box. I recommend these IPS displays - viewing angle is excellent! 3840x1080 screen background images look impressive on a pair of these.
If using both HDMI and VGA inputs (main computer on HDMI, file server on VGA), the bottom edge joystick makes it trivial to switch between systems.
