5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT!!

Pros: I've had this monitor for 7 years now and am still using it as I type this review. No problems ever! You would never think so with the brand, I'm shocked. I didn't realize how long I've been using it until I looked through my account history. A great product.

Cons: Absolutely None

1 out of 5 eggsStopped Working!

Pros: It worked well while it lasted for sub-$200 price monitor.

Cons: I purchased this monitor back in July 2008, and this monitor has finally given out. It comes on momentarily when the source is connected, then goes off. Connecting to both the VGA and DVI ports present the same behavior.

Other Thoughts: Garbage, just like my garbage Olevia TV. If you want long-term reliability, forget about it.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: Still looking and performing as good as when they first arrived! Can't ask for anything more. Used with an HDMI switch to watch my DirecTV when I wasn't working on my PC until I bought an HDTV a couple years ago.

Cons: Speakers absolutely suck but are better than nothing. Can't take anything away for that.

3 out of 5 eggslamps blew out within 4 years

Pros: at the time i bought the monitor it was the cheapest 1080p monitor on newegg (feb 2008) and it served its purpose (i.e a computer monitor) until it died (around march 2012)

Cons: the native resolution for this monitor was 1650x(i forgot the number) and not 1080 i was only able to get the monitor to show in 1080p only if it was hooked upto a ps3 i tried useing dvi-hdmi cables and it still was stuck at the native resolution

the monitors buttons wouldn't work when gently pushed i had to push the buttons hard and hold it there for a long period of time in order for the buttons to respond

this monitor has heavy bleeding on black backgrounds you can see the lamps bleeding through the screen

the built in speakers are garbage don't even bother with them they give off this loud humming sound when plugged in

last but not least the lamps burnt out within 4 years

Other Thoughts: i did like the monitor but there was some flaws to it that was preventing me to fully enjoy the monitor

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful and has served me well for 4 years.

Pros: I bought it in September of 2008. I have used it daily, for many hours (used for school/work/gaming). I will continue to use it until it dies. I found a deal on a 23 inch monitor and now I'm using both.

Cons: Never had any problems with it. No dead pixels, it's worked perfectly.

Other Thoughts: It was one of the best tech purchases I ever made.

1 out of 5 eggsgarbage

Pros: big screen, skinny presentation.

Cons: This monitor is a PIECE OF GARBAGE. Turns green frequently after only having it for about 6 mth. Tried to get SCEPTRE to take it back and replace it. nothing but hassles. NEVER BUY SCEPTRE. as I said.......... its a PIECE OF GARBAGE!!

Other Thoughts: did I say it was a $219... PIECE OF GARBAGE?........... yup!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Bought this mid may of 07 (2 years ago) and it is still going perfectly.

Cons: None, even the buttons on the side, whihch I originally thought would be a problem to locate in the dark, are not a problem.
I suppose maybe the blue power light is anoying, but I just covered it with a tiny piece of electrical tape.

Other Thoughts: 2 years, no problems. PLanning on replaceing my two 19" with these.

5 out of 5 eggsgood monitor

Pros: no dead pixels for 2 months since ive owned it, fast delivery, clear, sharp picture, fast display.

Cons: the stand would be better if it could tilt forward further, if you have the center of the monitor above eye level at arms length the top of the monitor looks dim. (just the way LCD's are designed) doesnt come with a DVI cable, or in a newegg box for extra protection, be sure you trust your shipper.

Other Thoughts: the speakers, while nice to have in addition to a decent sound system, are standard monitor speakers, and the quality is as expected for something not from bose or logitech.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat monitor

Pros: great display. great colors. The best sceptre monitor I've owned yet.

Cons: Speakers suck (most built-in speakers do suck). Native resolution is not 1920x1080, therefore when using this monitor at this resolution will be slightly blurry, not a big complaint since I'm not using this for HD video, but might be important to some.
