4 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Monitor

Pros: Clean picture, no-frills HD monitor. Skyrim looks good on it.

Cons: A couple dead pixels, no clusters; no software fix. Not a huge deal on such a big screen, but it knocks an egg.

Other Thoughts: If it's still on sale and prices comparably. I got a wicked deal during Cyber Sales. Otherwise, you get what you pay for.

3 out of 5 eggsThe screen quality/resolution is great. But they're fragile/touchy

Pros: Bought two at same time. If you handle/pinch the sides/casing too hard, you end up with permanent screen problems. They are nice looking, good quality otherwise

Cons: Couldnt take it back because I already threw away the packaging and didnt want to pay for shipping

Other Thoughts: I recommend it, but handle with extreme care.

4 out of 5 eggsSecond time around

Pros: Replacement unit works as advertised
No dead pixels, nice upgrade from a 23 inch monitor
Built in speakers are weak but I don't use them and did not intend to.
Overall I am very satisfied.

Cons: First unit was defective, would not power up.

Other Thoughts: Newegg Customer Service was fantastic.
Original monitor I received was defective.
Second unit was shipped as soon as they received the returned unit.
Can't ask for more.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Value but Stuck Pixels

Pros: Good value at $150. Nice size and color and resolution are fine. Sound is decent unless you are an audiophile.

Cons: Stuck pixel in center of screen as many others have noted.

Other Thoughts: Good buy when on sale unless you are one that is annoyed looking at dead/stuck pixels.

4 out of 5 eggsgood value for the money

Pros: Great price at around $150. Nice size at 27 inch. It came in very good shape, no dead pixels, it was just what I expected from a new monitor. It came really fast, just a few days after I placed the order. The quality of the display is OK, I've seen better, but this is not bad at all especially after adjusting the settings.

Cons: The base seems very sturdy which is quite rare at this price range but I can't tilt it at all. It leans forward way too much. I am a tall guy (6' 5'') and i absolutely need to tilt it backwards. The only solution I found was to place an object under the front part of the base. That's why I gave it 4 eggs.

Other Thoughts: I've read other reviews complaining about the fact that when connected through hdmi it did not use the entire screen. I wonder what was the resolution they chose. I've got 1920×1080 and in my case it's fine.

5 out of 5 eggsMonitor 27"

Pros: Good value for a 1920 x 1080 monitor with built in speakers. I picked this monitor up on a Newegg sale and it is a great buy at the sale price.

Cons: None so far. Some other reviews mentioned a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. The monitor I received is working well.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this monitor for my wife. It is connected to a Remix Mini using HDMI. As she makes the transition to Android from a Windows PC I also have the Windows PC connected via DIV. The monitor picks the first active video input and stick with this input even if another video input becomes active. It is easy to change between active video inputs by using the Menu and other buttons on the lower right. The buttons face the desktop so you need to feel around a little but the buttons are easy to operate once you are use to them. If the currently active video input goes inactive then the monitor will automatically switch to the other active input. This is a nice touch and saves having to manually switch between video inputs. I haven't used the VGA input so I don't know if it works the same way.

I think another reviewer mentioned there are not a lot of adjustments you can make on the monitor. This is true but it basically works fine as is and I didn't need to adjust anything on the PC side. There are the normal controls for Contrast, Brightness and several color presets plus a user color setting (Red, Gree, & Blue). There is also a Volume setting, Reset, Scale (4:3 or 16:9) and an Information selection that tells you the input resolution and frequency.

The built in speakers are ok but not great. Don't expect great sound or bass but the speakers are fine for the way my wife uses the computer. She mainly does web browsing, YouTube and Facebook with a little word processing.

The large size is great. At first my wife was a little surprised at the large size but this montior is physically smaller than the dual monitor setup she had on the Windows PC and the total number of pixels is not a lot less. The single monitor with the tiny Remix and wireless keyboard and mouse gives a nice clean desktop setup without a bunch of wires going everywhere.

Newegg did a great job with shipping. I think the monitor was on my front porch three days after the order and that is with standard (free) shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsmonitor

Pros: nice and large and no bad pixels, hdmi out and vga, and speakers .lots of menu options. Very sturdy base which I was impressed about.

Cons: the only con I have is in order to get completely full screen with my laptop I have to use the vga because if I use hdmi the menu grays out the manual adjust to change the horizontal and vertical stretch .I've tried all my laptop resolutions, and I can make it work on one of them nicely but then my laptop is not right ..but I'm sure you wouldn't have this problem if you had a better video card or more option ,,or used it on a desktop. But it's ok ...the other only con I have is when you power off the laptop and leave the monitor on it don't shut down it goes into standby and just rotates green solid, orange solid, and blue colors sort of annoying but I just power it off .speakers not the best but I have heard worse.so there ok.

Other Thoughts: overall I'm very happy with my purchase and fast shipping ,,thanks new egg

5 out of 5 eggsGood Monitor - Great Price

Pros: Works great directly out of the box. Took longer to get it out of the box than to get it working. Plug and play with no issues at all. Other reviews have talked about dead pixels. I don't have any (knock on wood) and don't anticipate any.

Cons: I'm not mounting this monitor, so this really isn't a con for me; but it might be for someone else. The oval base can be removed for mounting, but the neck cannot. It's about two inches of neck at the bottom of the monitor that will stick out. It'll work perfectly, but it will look rather strange.

Other Thoughts: Other reviewers are right that the builtin speakers are tinny. But what do you expect for built-ins? I've never had any that ever sounded good. That being said, This is a great price ($139.99) for a decent monitor

4 out of 5 eggsA decent monitor for the price.

Pros: Price was right. No bad pixels and monitor looks great. As others have mentioned the speakers are not the best.

Cons: This monitor does not tilt and after mounting the monitor to the base the top leans forward about a half an inch which makes for a somewhat uncomfortable viewing angle. Almost sent it back but for the price... You get what you pay for.
