5 out of 5 eggsLong Lasting

Pros: I have had this monitor since 2006 (I believe it's the right model), so almost 8 years now.

There is still absolutely no problem with it. No dead pixels, the logo lights didn't go out. It runs just like the day I got it.

Has a nice crisp display through DVI

Cons: If you unplug the monitor while it's hooked up to a computer, then plug it back in, it will not receive a video signal again until the computer is restarted

Other Thoughts: I have never used the built in speakers, so I can't describe the quality of them, probably not the best.

I have had this thing so long, that I'm not even switching it out for a TV because the thing broke, I just needed to upgrade to 1080p.

I would by Sceptre forever if all their products are this durable against time.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for the price

Pros: Unbeatable price, awesome picture quality, good looking design.

Cons: Lasted a little over a year, which isn't too bad considering it was on ALL the time. However, that was because the monitor could not be turned off while the PC was still on, or the monitor would be unable to receive any video signal from my PC, causing you to hard reboot the PC to get a video signal. I always thought this was just because of my video card and updated drives to no avail, but after trying another monitor, I now know it was NOT the video card.

Other Thoughts: Good for the price, but now that I need a new monitor a year later, I'm going to try a different brand.

4 out of 5 eggsDead Pixel

Pros: Looks good, Big.

Cons: One dead pixel, kinda like a car crash your eyes just can't stop looking at it.

Other Thoughts: Overall I would say if you can stand dead pixels or you don't mind almost what your paying for this is for you.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly recommended

Pros: Excellent screen clarity and quality construction. Works well with the Vista OS.

Cons: The screen does wobble a bit from left to right when I'm typing very fast and hard on the nearby keyboard.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this monitor with my newly purchased Gigabyte GeForce 7300 GT 512MB DVI Video Card (using the DVI port) and it looks beautiful! The display is very high quality and fast. The blue lighted "Sceptre" logo isn't a big deal (in fact, I rather like it). The screen does wobble a bit when typing fast and hard on my keyboard, but it's not a big issue. I highly recommend this monitor!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have been impressed with this monitor, though it was my first one. I have just recently upgraded to a HANNS-G 22" which cost less than the Sceptre at the time. The Sceptre is a decent monitor, but if your eyes are going bad like mine, I recommend the HANNS-G, though I've only had it about 3 weeks now.

Cons: The LED logo light on the bottom.

1 out of 5 eggsbig panel for low cost

Pros: big panel for low cost

Cons: This panel had developed a quarter coin size grouping of dead pixels after warm up. This is present in the upper right corner looks like a half circle and has many lines vertical and horizontal. I have dealt with this for a while now as it was present about 3 months after ownership and is getting worse.
The image is present on different PC's with swapped VGA cable. DVI worked once and never again. Sceptre will not respond for RMA as of yet. 3 calls places and a confirmed fax.

Other Thoughts: I should have not bought a cheap panel.
Lesson learned, still waiting for RMA. Over 1 month now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!!

Pros: This monitor has everything you want in an lcd. Great fps, no glare, perfect size for the average gamer. Overall it's very solid, durable, and well balanced on the stand. I've had this monitor for about a year now and still have NO DEAD PIXELS!! I have never had an lcd without at least one dead pixel. - Worth The Price -

Cons: The illuminated logo on the bottom is a little annoying but when you're sucked into a game... who notices this? After a while the power cord connection is a little loose, (but this is due to disconnecting a million times for going to lan parties)

Other Thoughts: If you're a serious gamer and have the money to spare, go with the 22" 5ms response model. If you're like me and just thrilled to finally get an affordable widescreen, this one's for you.

5 out of 5 eggsArtists

Pros: Awesome monitor for the graphic artist. Clear, colorful and spaceous for photoshop and more.

Cons: Shows labels for video input but has none on it for pluggin in a video jack.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to have a decent video card its recommended resolution can be a little high for some older cards.

2 out of 5 eggsDead Pixels

Pros: Looks great and is pretty big

Cons: Dead Pixels, You take a gamble with this brand. I thought I was going to be one of those happy stories... And if you have only a few dead pixels, then you're out of luck.

Other Thoughts: You would think that if you didn't get what you paid for then you could send it back. Apparently, my product was not defective "enough." Jeez....
Now no matter what I do, all I see is those dead pixels...

2 out of 5 eggsGood, but a caveat

Pros: Great monitor overall with DVI & VGA connections.

Cons: DOES NOT ACCEPT HDTV OVER HDMI>DVI AS STATED. Any new HD device will not work with this monitor via DVI or HDMI.

Other Thoughts: Very frustrating that the packaging of the product states that it "Support High Definition on DVI & Component" and that it is HDCP compliant, but in fact does not work with a PS3 or Scientific Atlanta 8300HD reciever. It will work via the DVI to component adapter, but that costs and extra $20 and will not display 1080P with anything that is copy protected because HDCP only works over DVI/HDMI.
