5 out of 5 eggsNice nice.

Pros: Very good display, affordable, great looks.
I've had one for over two years and recently purchased another to run as a mirror. I am very happy with these.

Cons: Buttons can be hard to access, no USB port, minor back lighting issues (only noticeable during low light - also my system isn't ever turned off so could just be normal wear)

The buttons really aren't a problem, once setup I don't even touch them.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommended these, especially for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Satisfied

Pros: This thing is effin HUGE! It stands up higher than most monitors. (which I like). Easy installation (as far as monitor installations go..) When I first took this baby out of the box I first thought it was a TV, that should give you an idea as of how big it is.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that if you got the one like I did with the iPod dock and all, is that all of the wires that are going to be in the back of it. But it doesn't bother me at all, it might bother others.

Other Thoughts: I didn't get this from Newegg, I got it refurbished from another site for $179.99 + Free Shipping. Also I have the one with the iPod dock, sub woofer, usb hub, and card reader. But I think this monitor is awesome overall.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Great brightness, no glare at all, high contrast, blacks are pretty black. Great value all around

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use this for my XBOX 360 as well as a second monitor for my laptop, I'm about to buy another one since dual duty is no bueno, since I can't watch a laptop movie and have someone play xbox at the same time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Great color, refresh rate, resolution. Easy to adjust, both viewing angle and video qualities.

Cons: I have to put this monitor in the space on my desk on an angle.

Other Thoughts: I've never had this monitor flicker like my old HP 17" flatscreen. I love it. I want to buy 2 more and run them in sequence for gaming

1 out of 5 eggsDo you want dead Pixels?

Pros: None

Cons: Ordered two of these monitors.
First one has a green stuck/dead pixel.
Second has a red struck/dead Pixel
Newegg and view sonic told me to go screw.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks fine to me

Pros: Very nice monitor. I have the VX900 also. Clean looking impressive design. Very clear picture with colors that look real. Bright display and sturdy base. Matches my keyboard!

Cons: Impossible to see the menu buttons in a darkened room, but one shouldn't have to mess with them too much once set. Took some tweaking to get the colors and contrast/ brightness toned down, but once!

Other Thoughts: The box and ViewSonic web sight says it's a 2ms 4000:1 contrast ratio ultra fast monitor. Newegg needs to check their figures.

1 out of 5 eggsViewsonic lie about the Specs

Pros: Absolutely none, you can buy better monitors for less.

Cons: Viewsonic clearly lies about the spec of this monitor: Vertical refresh rate: 50Hz - 85Hz. There is absolutely no way you can get the refresh rate up to 85 (FYI, I have tried all graphic cards from 8600GT to two 8800Ultra SLI). I installed the latest drivers and everything, the highest refresh rate you can get is 60. You can get up to 75 with 800X600, but there is absolutely no way to get 85. I bought this monitor in hope I can run games with 85Hz, Viewsonic makes me really disappointed.

Other Thoughts: I guess Viewsonic is not what it used to be anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for Apple Mac Mini

Pros: Extremely crisp colors once calibrated in OS X. This is without a doubt the best monitor I have ever owned! Ordering 2 more for my kid's Mac Minis.

Cons: The monitor wobbles just a little bit when you hit the desk, the stand actually flexes.

Other Thoughts: Do not regret this purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsMore than Perfect for the Price

Pros: I've built my "Chrome Lightning" to be a multi-purpose system. I've been fiddling with video-capture for the last four years, and relatively fresh to gaming having arrived from a long business-oriented developmt and teaching career. I wanted a monitor that would serve all purposes -- including -- and with emphasis on -- HDTV. My office is in a corner of the living room, and the living room is not a "Great Hall." We're still waiting for a very nice 27" CRT-type TV to stop looking "new," grow dim, and go on the fritz. But we don't have HD yet except for my AverMedia M780 tuner-card and an HDTV indoor antenna.

This is perfect!! Viewsonic quality! Big and bright enough for the room, small enough for the desk, low power-consumption! Fast response-time!

Cons: It's my fault: I THOUGHT the unit had a "tilt" adjustment (but it doesn't seem to, or I haven't figured it out yet), and I was willing to live without a height-adjustment for the price, but it is not a critical feature. No S-Video, HDMI, Composite or Component Video inputs like the VX2835WM or VX2435WM.

Other Thoughts: I can wait to play round-robin with this as we retire (Viewsonic) CRT monitors in the house, and add the VX2835WM when the old GE goes on the fritz. Then run an (expensive) HDMI cable from here to the bigger monitor on another side of the room, while adding hookups from the "home-theater" system to that one. Who needs a built-in tuner when you've got an HTPC with NTSC/ATSC, digital cable (we'll upgrade the subscription), and everything else?

I had my eyes on Viewsonic when the LCDs first started appearing in the late '90s. Viewsonic makes good stuff . . . . And NewEgg delivers . . .
