2 out of 5 eggsWarning!!

Pros: Good computer monitor for basic computer uses. Convenient USB, iPod, etc. It's large.

Cons: This monitor is NOT HDCP compliant. If you plan on adding a Blu-Ray drive to your computer, this monitor will scr&w you and down res your Blu-Ray disks to DVD quality IF your video card has a VGA d-sub port. If your card only supports DVI or HDMI, you can't watch your Blu-Ray discs at all.

Other Thoughts: If there is anything more infuriating than the media empire demanding draconian copy protection schemes, it's a company producing modern equipment that doesn't support them. I'm done with Viewsonic. And for the forseeable future, I'm done with HD digital media.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat features, poor quality

Pros: Great features. Built in card reader is amazingly useful. Ipod dock is great. Looks great, the Piano black finish is pretty slick. A very capable LCD for AVERAGE users with no ghosting that I've noticed. 2 inputs (DVI and VGA) so you can have two computers, or an xbox with a vga connector, connected at once.

Cons: Menu buttons are very difficult to use. Uses a TN panel which is the worst for quality (90% of LCDs out there use TN though). I got mine with 2 stuck pixels but they were outside the rather narrow guidelines for a replacement. Noticeable color shifting from top to bottom even from a straight on perspective. Terrible viewing angles from all sides.

Other Thoughts: Let me preface this by saying I am a graphic designer, I am very picky about my colors. Now, most of this monitors faults are not from the monitor really, they are faults of the TN panel technology that this screen uses. This same inferior technology is why this screen costs under 300 instead of 700 plus. I bought this unaware of the viewing angle issue, and its aggravatedme ever since. I will never buy another TN panel screen again, though to be fair this is a very feature rich example of a TN LCD, it just has poor color resolution.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful

Pros: Great monitor. I used one of these at an internship and loved it. That is, primarily why I bought one for myself. The front USB ports and side card reader is great. I don't use the ipod dock, and I haven't yet used the built in speakers. However, I like having built in speakers for a pinch or when you are going to a friend's or something. I think built-in sub will be useful in that regard. No dead pixels. Very bright and vibrate compared to my 8 year old Viewsonic VG700b and AGNeovo F-17.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsExcelence with a minor drawback

Pros: HUGE screen and very clear. I have devices I like to leave plugged into USB and now I can and leave them on my desk without having yet more wires coming out the back of my case. The extra USB in the back is just cake.

Cons: Putting the sound through the Monitor while a nice idea, dampens the sound coming through my headset. Since I use a headset most of the time so I am not disturbing others in gaming TOO much, I still have to plug it in directly in the back of the case.

Other Thoughts: Going from a 17 inch monitor to a 22 inch makes me feel like I am too insignificant to be using such a toy. I just have to show the monitor who's boss. LOL

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: The 22" size is a great size/value for a desktop monitor. The jump to a 24" seems a little cost prohibitive to me. The contrast, brightness and colors on this set are fantastic. Have experienced no ghosting with the quick response time. The iPod dock, USB hub and card reader are fantastic space and cable savers!

Cons: Seems like the included iPod adapters haven't been updated for newer models. My 2nd gen nano doesn't fit into the included nano adapter, so I'm using one of the others for now. Also had 1 stuck pixel but nothing to be concerned about.

Other Thoughts: Can't comment on speaker quality as one should really get a dedicated sound system. Overall a very nice monitor and highly recommended.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: GREAT Monitor! Very good picture. Only one dead pixel. Linked up to my IPod Nano immediately.

Cons: The only con (other than the one dead pixel) is that there was no adapter for the new IPod Nano. It still works great just being held up by the connector though.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly Recommended

Pros: Crisp sharp fast images. DVIx1, VGAx1, USB, Ipod ports. Flash card reader. Built in speakers, 2 sets. Microphone built in. All the cables and plugs you ever need-a viewsonic plus. No dead pixel after almost a year out.

Cons: Need 2 power plugs if you're going to use the usb hub and ipod port. Input switch button.

Other Thoughts: AMDx2 3600; 2gb DDR2 6400; XFX 7600GS;
I recently upgraded to vx2835 and using this as my backup system. Best monitor I've had, due to HDMI issues with the 2835. Works like new almost a year out, and I've had no problems with anything on this monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Moniter

Pros: This is the first LCD monitor I have owned and I’m glad I went with ViewSonic. The base with the extra usb ports and sd slots will come in use. I don't own an I-pod so will never use the docking station. I haven’t used the speakers at all but your buying a monitor not speakers. The mail in rebate was what made me choose this monitor over others at the price it was I couldn’t turn it down. I ordered this monitor Tuesday night and it was here Thursday morning I’m extremely pleased with newegg and will continue to buy from them

Cons: The reason I gave the product 4 stars out of 5 is because there is 2 stuck pixels. One on the lower left that is blue and not really a problem but one is in the middle right and bright green so it gets annoying when watching movies besides that I don't notice it. Still This monitor bets the old 17 CRT hands down. I would definitely buy another one.

Other Thoughts: Go with a 22in over a 19in you will be glad you did

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for gaming!

Pros: Very clean running monitor. I have yet to use the ipod feature but love the usb ports on the base itself. The warranty is one of the best things about this screen. Hope that I will never have to use it though.

Cons: I have none as of yet.

Other Thoughts: I say if you are a serious gamer like me (more than 14 hours a day gaming) then get this monitor. Very nice!

4 out of 5 eggsInexpensive Good Solid Performance

Pros: Large clear crisp screen. DVI and analog input good for using 2 sources. Contrast ratio and pitch is easy on the eyes. Good to listen to and charge ipod if you have one. Doesn't produce a lot of heat so low power consumption and low heat. Acceptable view on all lower resolution.

Cons: Buttons are small and hard to push, though I hardly ever need to use it. Rim of the monitor could be trimmed, almost a 1 inch margin. Speakers are poor but useful if you don't want clutter. Doesn't display any interlaced modes so higher resolutions will not be displayed.

Other Thoughts: If I could turn back time, I should have went with 24inches. But you couldn't beat the price.
