1 out of 5 eggsLook Elsewhere

Pros: Reasonably cheap price. Decent picture, although text could be sharper.

Cons: Drivers are horrible. Monitor developed a green stripe about 1 pixel wide 1/3 of the way from the left had edge of the screen from top to bottom. Viewsonic makes you jump thru hoops to RMA. I just kept it an try to ignore the stripe. Never again for the brand. They USED to be tops, but now they're just cheap junk.

Other Thoughts: For this money, go for another $30 and get a 22" Acer.

2 out of 5 eggsNot deserving of the Viewsonic name

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, no stuck/dead pixels

Cons: Poor quality

Other Thoughts: Thankfully I'm using this as my secondary monitor and not my primary. The picture is not clear, especially text which is fuzzy. I can adjust this by adjusting the "sharpness" and it clears it right up, unfortunatly, when the monitor powers off or goes into sleep mode and then back on, it's back to fuzzy again and I have to readjust EVERY time.

Monitor also flickers for no apparent reason every so often too.

1 out of 5 eggsDied after 4 months

Pros: Everything seemed great about this monitor (no dead pixels, sharp picture, etc.) until ...

Cons: It literally started smoking and died after 4 months of average use!

Other Thoughts: Never received the rebate from Viewsonic either.

3 out of 5 eggsWhen it works its great

Pros: It's a monitor, it's a lot better than my old CRT, and all pixels started working after a little while :)

Cons: It came with 3 stuck pixels, but they eventually fixed them selfs. It also developed a weird habit of doing the "processing auto configuration" during windows startup and every time i started a game after a month or two. However, that stopped when I unplugged the power and moved it around a bit once. Now I have a problem where the monitor will, for no apparent reason, just make a weird sound, shut down, and stay off for a few seconds to several minutes before it comes back on. Unplugging / replugging the power cord doesn't seem to have any effect on it either.

Other Thoughts: Considering that a 19" monitor only has about 75% of the pixels and screen area compared to a 22" monitor the minor price difference seems negligible.

5 out of 5 eggsgood monitor

Pros: My wife loves this monitor as compared to her old one.

Cons: There are better monitors, however they also cost more.

Other Thoughts: Would make a good upgrade from your old monitor that is taking up all your desk space.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy with two !

Pros: I bought one, liked it, bought another. At the time a good value.

Cons: The speakers are decidely inferior.

Other Thoughts: Today there are better monitors, with DVI-D and/or more pixels, available for comparable price. While I've been happy with the two monitors I have, I probably would buy something different today.

3 out of 5 eggsNO REBATE

Pros: I've always liked ViewSonic monitors and this one is no Exception but it's the Rebate they offer that aggravated the hell out of me when it was denied.

Cons: I HATE REBATES. I thought I would get lucky with this one but it turns out that either NewEgg.com or ViewSonic company is out to steal people's money by misleading. Newegg says there's rebate while ViewSonic rejects it, at least mine.

2 out of 5 eggsViewSonic “product”

Pros: Affordable price.

Cons: This “product” has nothing even close to ViewSonic quality. On the plan English, It is not a good monitor.
