Pros: IF you use HDMI or DVI, you will get sharper and clearer picture.

Cons: Please measure your desk. tried to put this on a wal mart desk, the monitor was extremely huge. Please measure the desk before getting this product, this will take up room :)

Other Thoughts: This is the best money purchase, Just measure your desk before getting this monitor, also it comes with drivers disc, will work with windows 10 home or pro. has monitor profile and drivers for windows 9x to windows 8 32 to 64 bit, will work fine with either vga, DVI or HDMI connection. This is a must buy product if you are into photos, light gaming. etc. will buy again in the future :)

Pros: Bought this for my wife - she is a programmer. When she saw it she thought it was too big but now she would never go back. She loves it.

Cons: It won't make coffee for us.

Other Thoughts: No dead pixels. Very clear images.

Pros: Display is as good as i expected it to be. Would be expected from ViewSonic in the first place.

Cons: Stand is unstable, like the other comments state. It is a 28" monitor though, so you can't have best of both worlds.

Other Thoughts: Otherwise, it was a good buy for the cost and what i needed at this time.

Pros: Inexpensive for such a large screen, front facing controls.

Cons: This monitor has a glossy screen. I bought it based on an answer that said this has a matte finish. Maybe that was the case on earlier production runs, but not with the one I got. I never even turned it on because it is going back.

Speakers are worthless

Plugging into mobile devices with mini USB devices worthless (Samgung Galaxy Tab, would assume Apple, etc)

Worthless base (if you sneeze, the monitor might fall on you)

No difference in quality with HDMI, stay with the provided VGA cable.

Why was a CD provided?

Other Thoughts: This is just a good viewing monitor, with VGA cable included.
Nothing more is needed.
Do not burst when all the features that are advertised don't work, because they won't work.
I will keep mine because all I wanted was a big screen for my laptop.
The added features that were advertised would have been a bonus, but, sorry Charlie.

-Auto adjust didn't work
-Bad contrast
-MHL wouldn't work (Could be compatibility issue though)
-Response Time adjustment from standard to fast/ultra fast made ghosting worse.

Other Thoughts: Really disappointed in this purchase. First, I was purchasing this to replace my HannsG 28in I got over 6 years ago. Though it was going to be an upgrade, but I was mistaken.

Out of the box, like a lot of monitors need some adjusting. But after about a total of 5-6 hours of trying to calibrate this thing both with its hardware and software I got hardly any closer to it being just "OK".

Auto adjustment option on the OSD was greyed out and didn't work for me.

I found it impossible to find a balance of decent color with a decent black with out it being to dark. Or going the other way and it being washed out. I turned down the monitors brightness to almost 0... I think my Ray Bans would have worked just as good at that point.

The Response Time adjustment on the monitor made ghosting in games worse. Standard was decent, Fast was bad and Ultra Fast was really bad.

MHL didn't work for me, but that could have just been compatibility with my device. Wasn't why I got the monitor but figured it would be a cool bonus. Nope. Oh well.

All in all, my sub-par 6+yo HannsG looks and works better. My Viewsonic that's used as my second monitor has deeper blacks and better color with out being washed out. Neweggs good customer service is the only reason for 2 eggs, instead of 1.

Will return.

Cons: Speakers are just an addon, not too good, but it's all about the size and quality of the monitor, not the speakers...
