4 out of 5 eggsNice projector

Pros: Clear bright picture with excellent clarity and will throw a good distance without loss.

Cons: almost disposable because of the cost of bulb replacement

low resolution, but not a con for all and it is good enough for my use.

Other Thoughts: great buy!

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT BUY!

Pros: Price - Compared to local stores , you cant beat this deal. I shopped around and even with the overnight shipping , this cost me $150 less.

Quality - Compared to the other 3 projectors I have at work , this one is by far the best. Built very good and Im not feeling the need to be over cautious when handling it. It flat out looks better then the others I have too.

Ease of Use - Very easy to set up and start using. The day I got it , it was put to use in a training event. If one of the old projectors was being used, I would have had to go set everything up, but not with this one.

Cons: Nothing major and barely worth mentioning , but it would have been nice if it came with a case to store it in.

Other Thoughts: Go look around at your local retailers and see how much on average projectors sell for. Then compare the next day shipping with this one and see for yourself how great of a deal this is.

5 out of 5 eggsBest value picture to dollar you will find in any projector !

Pros: I have 2 52" plasma televisions. This projectors quality even at the display resolution of 800X600 competes. Needless to say there are other projectors, much more expensive, that will beat this one out. I have this running onto an 136" Elite screen and it looks phenomenal. I recommend this projector to anyone looking for that home theatre experience for low cost.

Another plus is that the bulbs are actually pretty low cost in comparison to other brands, and they will easily last 3000 hours if taken care of properly.

My living area has nice light control. needless to say if you have the lights wide open it will drown out alot of the picture, but that is expected from any projector unless you intend to spend 10K+ $$.

Picture to cost ratio is the best on the market in my own personal opinion.

Cons: Only Composite video, S-Video, and VGA (DSUB) inputs, but I knew that when i bought it. Not really a con. I recommend getting a RGB Composite to VGA Dsub cable to run to this projector for the max resolution and detail.

Other Thoughts: Everyone that has seen this setup thus far is astonished by how awesome it looks and even more so by the low price of the projector.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: I bought it for projecting slide presentations at our church. It is our second unit in the room. The other is a high cost unit. The ViewSonic color is much better. The menu is much easier to use and more complete than the other unit. (I am really comparing to a high buck unit that is not very good for color.)

I have used this a couple of times and am very pleased.

Cons: The zoom is a joke. It is either ineffective or nonoperational.

Other Thoughts: Combined with Newegg's price and the rebate, this was a great buy.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW Very nice product

Pros: good product, easy installation, no drivers required, works with windows7 and all previous versions, 800 x 600 but you can optimize the composite video signal, it looks great in a bright location, its temperature does not rise much, and best of everything has value and what I could get with a $ 50.00 rebate.

Cons: No Widescreen resolution

Other Thoughts: none

4 out of 5 eggsNothing Spectacular

Pros: I have the model right before this one. It works well and give a decent picture. Easy to use, hook up. Great for getting a big screen TV for small dollars. Ability to be used for a rear projection, and/or upside down to be mounted on the ceiling. S-Vid, Composite, VGA, RGB, inputs make it so it can take most anything. Even has an Eco Mode. Keystone works okay (but please try to avoid using it no matter what projector you use), and focuses quite well. Can receive up to HD resolutions and then downscale inside the box. 1:2 focus ratio. 40in away gives 80in of screen.

DLP = less risk of burn in.

Cons: Puts out a lot of heat. Low native resolution, but that is stated. Depending on your settings, sometimes whites can become overpowering. Don't know how long the bulb will last. It will probably be cheaper to buy a new unit when it does.
It FAILS outside in any kind of light. You will need a stronger projector for that kind of venue. Keep indoors.
Its not a bright projector, so it will not do well in a well light room, or if you have the blinds open. It works amazing at night, and everything is crisp and clear.

DLP = color wheel = RGB is split up. You may notice this when you have a white object on a black background, you'll see the white thing split up into its RGB equivalents if you shake your head. This is true in ALL single chip DLP devices.

Other Thoughts: Put this together with a cheap HTPC, some nice computer speakers, and a white sheet, and you have yourself a sub 1,000 dollar movie theater! Pretty sweet! I love my projector!
