Pros: I've already written a review but wanted to let people know how to get better vibrance out of the monitor. If you have a video card running nvidea, you just need to go into the control panel, appearance and personalization, and then click on the nvidea icon at the bottom. This allows you to make adjustments to the picture using nvidea settings. Under Display, Adjust desktop color settings, you can adjust the vibrance, which really enhances the colors on the monitor. Just a heads up because on stock settings this monitor can be a bit dull. Everyone may already know this but it was a revelation to me.
Cons: blue led indicator light
Other Thoughts: I've had this monitor for a few months now, and it's terrific. Brilliant, crisp picture and rich colors with the aforementioned adjustment.

Pros: Cheap for all its features. CALIBRATE IT. Honestly, go buy or borrow a colorimeter/software of some sort.
No ghosting to my eyes, played Fallout 3 and TF2 for PC and Assassin's Creed and Wet for 360 on it so far. HDMI with my 360 looks great. No (practically speaking) input lag compared to a TV. Supposedly supports sync-on-green and so I might be able to use a component-to-vga adapter for my Wii/PS2. Backlight distribution is better than the VX2260WM I exchanged for this one, which was still pretty good. Text looks fine if you use the cleartype powertoy for XP, and also looked fine with KDE's subpixel hinting in Linux. Eco mode uses about 23W at my brightness/contrast settings. Oh, and no dead pixels on this (or on the VX2260WM I exchanged).
Cons: It really looks absolutely atrocious at its default settings. Start by cranking the brightness/contrast down to around 30/50 respectively. Most of the negative reviewers probably haven't calibrated it to any extent. In reality, the majority of monitors are really probably quite good after a calibration. In store comparisons are useless for the most part - too many fluorescent lights. Black level isn't ever going to be as good as a CRT, but still better than most other TN panels after calibration. The color won't be an issue for anyone but a professional. Takes quite awhile to switch inputs. Stand and bezel aren't as expensive looking as the 2260, but the solid black looks better to me. Stand is too low (as usual for anything without a Tilt/Rotate/Height adjustable stand)
Other Thoughts: Reviews pretty badly by most pro review sites/magazines (especially Max PC, wow they hated it!) It is a TN panel, but for a TN they don't get a whole lot better than this. There's an extensive thread on the VX2260WM (same panel, afaik) at the MLG forums; they seem to really like it. I got mine at (rhymes with orfice repo) and got them to price match (rhymes with rise) for better than anybody online, and the return policy is awesome - I can exchange it for another one for any (and I mean any) reason in the first 14 days. Sorry for writing a book but this monitor deserves at least a little more respect than it gets, and so does buying retail! Do shop around, this monitor is available for less than two benjamins at retail when it's on sale. Hope you enjoyed reading this book! :)
