5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor, decent price

Pros: Excellent image quality/color accuracy/display sharpness, beautiful design, lightweight, included speakers pack a surprisingly powerful punch.

When shopping for my rig's monitor, I really went to Viewsonic first as I have been happy with their quality in the past. Needless to say my eye was drawn to this screen which had the size I wanted (at the time), an LED back light display, and the specs I wanted.

I have not been let down... for the most part. Please see below.

Cons: A few stuck pixels right out of the box. It wasn't enough to qualify for the return policy but it is what it is. Monitors get dead/stuck pixels from time to time. It can be a little annoying when you are editing documents (the pixels are stuck white).

Other Thoughts: When shopping around for a monitor, I think this should be one on the top of the list. Sure, you can get similar 21/22" monitors for a bit cheaper, but I am just amazed with this screen. I'll be purchasing another one soon!

4 out of 5 eggsVery Nice -so far

Pros: Works very well, no separate power supply box to manage. Just plug it in and go. replaced a Fuji which died suddenly. I don't use the speakers that are built in but that is a plus as far as I am concerned. Out of the box was too bright for me but easily adjusted. I like 6500 color adjust. For those that don't like the blue power light it can be turned off in settings.

Cons: The software install is buggy. Wants to install acrobat 4.

Other Thoughts: Time well tell how long it lasts but so far, the monitor seems very nice.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent monitor!

Pros: sturdy, bright, great colors, convenient buttons, built-in PSU,

Cons: no HDMI? - really, none

Other Thoughts: I'm comparing this monitor to the 2253 model and this monitor is so much better! Besides the much better colors (for some reasons), I really like built-un power supply vs. a brick. Power button is conveniently located in front of you - were it belongs vs. at the side. The stand is sturdy and the whole unit is very light and compact.
Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything about this monitor is awesome! It works, out of the box, on any OS I use. The manufacturer's website provides signed drivers for Windows.

Cons: There is no HDMI port.

5 out of 5 eggsNot a bad monitor

Pros: I have one of these at work, the guy before me must have bought it.
It has a clear, bright picture. Excellent contrast. Small formfactor (thin thin thin). Vesa mount on the back. Sturdy enough base.

Cons: Labels. Yeah, I know it's LED backlit and 1080p, I don't need the largest label on the thing to tell me that every time I look at it. A little SE99 graffiti remover takes it off though.
Sometimes the inputs are wonky and it doesn't want to detect them right.

Other Thoughts: I work at a school district and a fairly recent hire. This was on my desk when I came in, along with the previous guy's laptop with him still logged in. Its a fine monitor, fairly cheap. I like it more than my HANNSpree back at home, wish I could swap them out.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I was debating between this or an Asus that was a bit cheaper. So happy I went with ViewSonic.
The last monitor I bought was from ViewSonic back in 2002. A P95f+ and the picture is as good as the day I got it home. They know what they're doing.
No dead pixels
Just a beautiful display. Love it! Couldn't be happier.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsStay away from this monitor

Pros: None

Cons: I tried 2 of these VX2250wm monitors and both were fuzzy and had slight discolorations. They both had phase, frequency and size problems. The auto-adjust doesn't clear up the screen image. Parts of the image are blurry and parts are clear. You can never get the entire display to be crystal clear no matter how hard you try. You can change every setting on the monitor and you'll still see problems in parts of the screen. I've used dozens of monitors in my life and this one is one of the worst and it's price is not that good either. This particular model might have problems because several other ViewSonics models are very good.

Other Thoughts: I have over 30 years of computer experience. Don't buy this monitor model.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad for price

Pros: Cheap, decent color/contrast for a TN panel (after adjustments), nice high gloss appearance

Cons: TN panel yields inaccurate colors, poor contrast.

Huge blue LED is distracting.

Other Thoughts: After returning two similarly priced TN panels (all with 77%+ five star ratings on Newegg), I tried this model. It took about 45 minutes of tweaking to get an acceptable image. It had a very, very slightly bluish tinge that was difficult to eliminate.

If we didn't already own awesome LCDs, I wouldn't have known what I was missing. It's decent. And if all you've ever seen are TN panels, this monitor is a good value.

BUT, color accuracy and contrast capability of this screen--like all TN panels--leaves much to be desired. Colors are either dull, or washed out. There's no in-between. Blacks are gray. Reds are on the verge of pink. Greens are *nearly* green. Whites and yellows are painful. Yay, TN panel :-(

I returned this LCD and went with a more expensive IPS panel. Much happier now.

2 out of 5 eggsStarted out good...

Pros: Has great picture, everything I played or watched on it looked awesome.

Cons: Almost 2 months after ordering it, the screen starting blinking on and off showing a D-Sub thing up in the right corner after coming back on each time. At first it wasn't very often, but within a couple days its just continuous. I thought it might be a bad cable, so I got my other cable and used it, problem persisted. I thought it might be my video card and switched that out, still happened. Then I switched monitors and no problem anymore.

Other Thoughts: From what I can tell of the other reviews, there is only one other person that had this problem. This is a great monitor when it was working. I just unfortunately got the short straw this time.
