4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good picture quality, and finally a screen with a menu who's navigation doesn't make me want to shoot myself.

Cons: Does not tilt
Can't change height
no HDMI input

color transition seems ... off, i'm using it with a 24 inch HD display and compared this one just doesn't really display colors as nice as it could.

I deducted one egg for that because even with nvidia and menu options it is still not what it should be

Other Thoughts: when I play FSX on 1080 the screen goes into 'out of range' and i have to turn it off, and back on again ...?

no eggs deducted

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor

Pros: I tried a 32 inch, just to big. HD is great but on 19 inches, if you change the DPI it is just to crammed on the screen. This 27 inch monitor is perfect, my eyes feel better, i have the DPI set to 150% and everything looks amazing. 4 port kvm and it plays call of duty, tomb raider, TF2, counter strike, star wars. flawlessly!

Cons: i have to set the screen resolution when i start counter strike each time. I could code hack that in the shortcut so i guess its not really an issue.

Other Thoughts: If you can find this monitor for 240 bucks like i did. and you are on the fence. BUY IT you will not be disappointed. The initial reason i trusted Viewsonic is I had a 10 year old flat screen 17 inch that i gave to a client that is still working. I trust the same craftsmanship and pride will reign with my new fancy view box :)

4 out of 5 eggsGood cheap monitor.

Pros: Nice no-frills 27" screen. Great color and decent settings out of the box, bright, no ghosting in games, crystal clear. Not a whole lot heavier than the 22" monitor it replaced.

Has VESA 100 mounting holes with a standard screw size - was able to unmount my old monitor and mount this without needing to hunt down new screws. Taking off the stock stand was quick and easy, no hidden screws or labels to rip off.

Cons: Not really a big con, but the buttons are tucked under the screen and their labels aren't exactly visible in dim conditions.

Minus an egg for light bleed. The backlight bleeds into the picture, especially on the lower edge of the screen. It's very obvious with a dark scene or blank screensaver, not enough to be a deal breaker but annoying enough to warrant attention.

Other Thoughts: Bought to replace an older Acer 22" screen that failed a couple weeks back, figured if I was going to buy a new monitor I might as well get something bigger.

I was a bit worried that my mount (a dual screen pole mount from another vendor) would have issues with the extra weight, but the monitor is only about five pounds heavier than the old one.

So far, so good. I'm happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Large, thin, and very well made.
No Frills monitor (who needs gizmo's on their monitor?)
Easy to color calibrate

Cons: somewhat thick bezel (about 20mm or so)
would be nice if it had HDMI input.

Other Thoughts: Zero 'stuck pixels' (I have three of these monitors), and zero problems so far. I was given one of these monitors by a friend photographer, and then bought two more from newegg. These are a fantastic value for anything from gaming to photo editing. No frills, just exactly what you need.

couldn't be happier.

4 out of 5 eggsBeautifully Big

Pros: It's big. Looks very nice. My brother got one for his office 6 months ago, he just bought another one for home. (23" is now too small)

The price is very attractive.

Cons: None that I know.

Other Thoughts: I haven't used it much personally, so I don't feel right giving it a full 5. It's very impressive, though.

4 out of 5 eggsStuck green pixel

Pros: Large screen, great picture, very sturdy

Cons: 1 stuck on pixel, green. which isn't bad but it's in the middle of the screen, unfortunatly it isn't covered by viewsonic unless it is at least 3 bright stuck pixels.

3 out of 5 eggsopen box sold at retail

Pros: this is a big monitor, its bright and clear with no dead pixels, overall i'm happy

Cons: this should have been sold as a open box,no tape on the lid,all wringled and beat up,showing the box had been opened a few times, even the protective foam packing was chipped.had the box been taped up and not opened it would have been a five star.

Other Thoughts: I work hard for the things I buy,my heart skipped a beat when I saw the package, all excited to get the monitor and I see this beat to hell box. Please Newegg, lets speed a little more time on the package and contents before it leaves the warehouse.Tiger has you beat on condition.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: Big... I mean if you want big monitors... ...I mean big, this is the best price, best quality 27 inch monitor you'll find. Set up is a breeze. I bought two of these to do video editing and every tool bar and full video fit on my screen. NO MORE SCROLLING. Also there were no dead pixels.

Cons: Nothing

Other Thoughts: Having a stand that moves up and down would be nice. Also as some other reviewers have stated they are bright, but dimming them was no problem for me.

5 out of 5 eggsReally like this monitor

Pros: Great price, great picture, great colors, no dead pixels and HUGE!
Also, thank you Newegg for the fast and free shipping!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Wanted a large monitor and have always loved Viewsonic. If you are thinking about getting a 27" monitor and have been looking at this one, go for it! This monitor is highly recommended and looks great for web surfing or fast pace games.

It doesn't have speakers or USB ports which is a money saver as I never used that feature on my now 2nd 24" monitor. I also knew it wasn't vertically adjustable or didn't have a HDMI from reading the description. People tend to take off for that even after Newegg has supplied ample information.

I was happy to find no dead or stuck pixels after plugging it in, now that's a great panel! I didn't even need to adjust it very much out of the box.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor, with very few minor flaws

Pros: The 27" screen is big compared to my old 22.5" You will notice a huge difference when upgrading in sizes. I thought I wouldn't notice. But when I unpacked this screen you can see the quality of the monitor. The screen is nice and large and produces a clean 1080p picture. The frame of the screen is a glossy black reflected plastic with a nice inter weaving design on the bottom. The monitor just snaps right into the stand and clicks in smoothly.

Cons: There is some white out on the edges of the screen. But it doesn't even bother me unless the screen is completely black. The stand is not very flexible. But the stand slides nicely on my table when moving. I don't need to pick the whole thing up to move it. I wanted more tilting and swivel options in the stand. Because the monitor is so big depending on where I am sitting I am always moving the monitor left or right. I knocked one egg off for the lackluster stand.

Other Thoughts: The monitor sits too low on the stand. The tilting angles are not to my liking. This monitor took some getting use to. I had to adjust my mouse DPI so I can cover more ground on this monitor. Video games on this thing is sweet though. I love this monitor. Compared to my Hanns G, the Hanns G is much darker then my ViewSonic. The colors and brightness is clear and colorful.

For the price for a 27" non-LED screen. This is worth every penny.
