Other Thoughts: This projector was acceptable for the price paid...but, it stopped working through hdmi and video input at 25 months of stationary usage....I do not recommend this product.

Pros: Still running on the original lamp after all these years. Nice picture quality.

Cons: Struggles with the darker contrast like most projectors.

Also it is quite loud. Sitting near it can be a bit distracting.

Not as many keystone options as other projectors.

Other Thoughts: It works good. Recently upgraded to an SI screen (gray) and it improves the picture quality a bit. The lamp is plenty bright so don't have to dark out the entire room.

Only one keystone dimension so it has to be a straight line to the screen. Can adjust the image up and down but not left and right.

Pros: its great all the way around, i have had it now for 3 years.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I love this projector so much. I couldn't ask for more given what I initially payed for it. However, be wary of this projector. My lamp failed after only 1000 hours of use when it was stated from multiple sources that there would be a 4000 to 6000 hour lamp life.

CAUTION: 3 year warranty doesn't include the lamp. The lamp has a separate 1 year warranty, any failure after that and you're buying a new one. Also any replacement bulb you buy after your original one fails (for $330 from viewsonic, which is more than 1/3 of the whole projector itself) has only a 90 day warranty.

I will never go back to a normal TV I can't handle it anymore, you are seriously missing out by not owning a projector. Just make sure you can handle the investment before getting into it.

Pros: I reviewed this projector in 2012, when it had about 2000 hours on it (traditional projector bulb life) and it was going strong. Well, it's still going strong at 5,000 hours on the original bulb. It still looks great. I've built a wall to expand the image to it's maximum 12" wide projection size. (much bigger than the 120" screen I bought for it) 12" wide is the maximum size for a living room projector at such close range (6'-14' away from the screen) without it being ridiculous.

Any larger and the pixels would be too large. This is a great example in being able to tell a major difference between 720p and 1080p source media as well.

Cons: It's hard to keep my roommates from burning up all my bulb hours

Other Thoughts: I don't understand why everyone doesn't have a projector. It is bad@ss.

Pros: Clear Picture

Cons: The fans never spun correctly and would randomly stop spinning at all. So the unit overheated and shutdown all the time. RMA'ed it back to newegg. We'll see how the new one does when it arrives.

Pros: It was reasonably cheap. Bright. Acceptable quality for the price. Long warranty.

Cons: Average to poor dark scenes definition. Image throw angle is quite steep and not adjustable. Not sharp across the entire image, it is not noticeable in movies, but quite noticeable in PC desktop fonts.

Other Thoughts: Poor sharpness is the most disappointing.

Pros: I've had this thing for a while now and it works good. Very bright and crisp.

It powers on the fastest of any projector I've ever had.

Cons: As will all projectors, darker grays and black don't show so much.

Other Thoughts: So hooked up a HTPC to it and it is cutting off the top and bottom of windows. This is driving me nuts.
Can only zoom _in_ but not out. Overscan is greyed out making me want to punt it.
Can't find anything helpful on forums on how to enable this.

Pros: This was my first projector and I didn't know much about projectors going into this project.

I use the projector for normal TV, Netflix, PS3 and Xbox360. I was skeptic about quality when I saw the price tag compared to other 1080p projectors, but when I finally saw the quality on my 8" screen I was speechless.

My other thought was a loss in picture quality when I was playing or watching a fast paced video. This projector far passes my expectations of what I thought projectors were capable of now-a-days.

Cons: There was only one problem with this projector:
The picture is static, as in you cannot adjust the projection angle. The image is shot at about a 35-45 degree pointing upward. It was suggested by viewsonic to mount the projector upside down to help with this problem.

Do not think you will be able to wall mount this projector. Very difficult. Needs to be on a table in front of the couch or upside down from the ceiling to project equally to the screen.

Other Thoughts: None. Amazing projector! Amazing Price! Amazing Quality!

Pros: This is my first projector I've actually owned and it rocks. With a little tweaking, you can achieve great quality out of it.

Cons: At this price points, you're bound to have some cons. For instance, this projector is very sensitive to the circuit that it's on. I have a mini-fridge and whenever it's on, I get horizontal lines across the screen more than usual. Yes, this does mean I get occasional lines across the screen on a daily basis, but it's not something that will interrupt your viewing experience (that much).

Picture wise, the projector sucks at producing blacks. Then again, I'm spoiled by the premium LED panels around the house.

Other Thoughts: All in all, it's a great projector that I use very rarely (around 1-hour per/week) to watch a show or two.
