Pros: Nice bright display with pretty decent sharpness for a projector.

Cons: The projector failed in less than 1 week. It started automatically powering down after about 15 minutes of use with no overheating LED warnings. Viewsonic replaced it with a new projector with a manufactured date 1 year newer than what newegg sent me.

Viewsonic wireless adapter only supports WEP (sold separately). DHCP server is either on or off so thier is no way to bind it to just the wireless card. vsPresenter software is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 7! vsPresenter works with XP x64 as far as I have tested. No documentations on vsPresenter lists requirements and Viewsonic support spent hours with me to assuming it was something wrong with my network setup/devices. Turns out it's not supported on the most used Windows OS, Windows 7. Tier 2 support emails automatically get deleted by Google's spam filter. I have nothing but bad things to say about Viewsonic support and their documentation.

Other Thoughts: Buy a different brand with better support especially if you want to connect to the projector using TCP/IP.

Pros: Super Bright Picture. Bright enough to project on a matte white textured wall and compete with 150 watt light bulb turned on with out too much wash out.

Cons: Any loss of signal (i.e. switching inputs or sources) causes the projector to show the ViewSonic logo with an eye searing white background...not so great for a darkened room. Some flickering issues with the bulb. Occasionally forgets the settings; mine in on a UPS, so it isn't power loss related. Doesn't appear to have a picture any better than my NEC LT245 (1024x768). I know signal source has alot to do with this, but the NEC had an incredible scaler. My point in comparing to the NEC is that I think for upto a 100 inch screen, a 720p resolution is sufficient.

Other Thoughts: Got one this bright, because my wife likes the light on. About 770 hours on the bulb in 5 months time, so just over 2 years of estimated bulb life left. The bulb has dimmed enough, that the bright white is no longer painful in a dark room. The unit is ceiling mounted and back far enough for a 100 inch diagnal. The diagrams in the manual about the picture size, height above(below) the lens, and the distance from the wall, and zoom, are right on the money, so pay attention to the numbers before you buy. I have tested both HDMI, the composite, and component inputs.

Pros: Beautiful 1080 picture, 2xHDMI inputs and fast refresh rate, bright on wall even with daylight shining through blinds. PIP/POP for sharing 2 HDMI signals! - but also includes all the other inputs as well.

Cons: Aims straight with NO zoom, at MAX zoom the picture is High on the wall even having to prop up the back of the projector to get a picture straight on the wall.

The image is that the lowest part of the image does not move with the zoom like normal projectors do, the bottom of the image is always the bottom, causing the zoom to make a bigger picture upwards only.

Other Thoughts: I had RMA'd the first projector because of the aim issue, besides contacting ViewSonic about the issue and being told that this is not Normal, receiving a second projector with the same issue leads me to believe it is infact normal.

However a distance of 16' from the wall projects a 12' image at max zoom, and is most definitely a beautiful picture!
