The PJD7583wi is an advanced short throw DLP widescreen projector which includes BrilliantColor technology to produce more vibrant colors, while the high brightness and contrast ratios make this projector shine in virtually any lighting situation. The PJD7583wi delivers 3000 lumens with a 1280x800 WXGA native resolution. The short throw lens allows it to project a 95" image, from a distance of just 1 meter, and built-in interactivity lets you turn any surface into an interactive white board. Priced at just a fraction of the cost of a traditional 77" interactive board, the ViewSonic iProjector provides ultimate flexibility for interactive learning. Most old XP computers can't do that res since it was not standard back then. if you have 1280X768 or whatever else, you lose a portion of your projected image. Other Thoughts: finally I got a hold of a manager in the repair department, he understood my delima (Thanks Ed). he found a way to get me a replacement projector from the sales department. it made my opinion of viewsonic a little better. I still hold to my view that Newegg should have done more, and the first level of support @ viewsonic should understand business better. they kept throwing around "weeks" like it didn't matter not having a business tool for 3-4 weeks. Shows total lack of understanding of what it means not to have a business tool for that long. I got my replacement projector in very quick time and I have it up and running already. I am out $1500 for projector and ARM and my project is on hold for weeks becuase of bad client support policy. DO NOT PURCHASE VIEWSONIC. trust me. save yourselv the hassle. quality of the image was not that impressive for a $1000 projector. I had a friend bring his $450 projector (sanyo) and the images looked the same. I am very disappointed. VERY. Other Thoughts: I bought this brand new from newegg. tested it when I got it, worked fine. Since I was keeping it, I cut out the UPC from the box and sent it to viewsonic to get the promotional free lamp. After I got the wall arm installed, I attached the projector flipped upside down and turned it on, something internally was lose and would come down and block part of the image. newegg told me they could have replaced it for me if the box aws still intact. I think newegg scan do more here, but oh well. Viewsonic techsupport was horrible. after hours and hours of dealing with different people. I was told it needs repair becuase they don't have any new ones to send me (becuase it's such a new product). but they were willing to send me a used one instead, does that make sense to you? it's been more than a week, when I contact them, they tell me, it takes 7-14 days. no status update. seems like viewsonic can't understand how important time is for business.
