Other Thoughts: Great monitor for the price.

Pros: Good image quality, seems to be solidly built. The buttons are placed on the side of the monitor towards the back -- this makes them easily accessible, without cluttering up the front of the display.

Cons: The built-in speakers are terrible. Then again, if you're the sort who uses the built-in speakers on your monitor, this may not bother you.

Pros: Great display! Thin and light! Has both VGA and DVI plugs. Price is excellent value.

Cons: It should come with a DVI cable! If you are expecting that to be included, you will be disappointed that it only comes with a VGA.

Pros: Not much, low cost.

Cons: Not reliable. Base is useless.

Other Thoughts: Lasted 2 whole months. Completely dead already, won't even turn on. Now it I have to pay to send it to California for "repair" which can take a month or more. (Started out with the On-Screen-Programming window popping up all the time by itself, even though it wouldn't let you do anything in the window.)

Pros: Excellent color and brightness. No dead pixels. Stable stand.

Cons: No DVI cable? You would expect more from ViewSonic.

Other Thoughts: Great buy, great brand, but no DVI cable dissapoints. yes it is clear in the pictures and description that the DVI cable in not included but it SHOULD be.

Pros: It works.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Can't really comment on the speakers, I don't use them. If you are buying a monitor based on speakers then you are doing it wrong, just get a $10-15 pair here while you're at it. If you're not, going to, enhance your audio by right clicking the speaker, clicking playback devices, and clicking on the monitor speakers.

It was a little weird transitioning to 1920x1080, but now I wonder how I ever used my old screen for anything.

The colors are really clear and bright, they look awesome.

Pros: They picture quality is excellent. 1080p, good contrast, nice colour and white balance. All what you'd expect from a company like Viewsonic.

Cons: The sound. Dear lord, the sound. I purchased this monitor to pair with the gaming PC in my living room. I had thought I would just use the built-in speakers, since most of the time other family members are watching TV or otherwise occupying the room and I'll be using headphones anyway. Within a day I had external speakers set up -- it's tinny and awful, with absolutely no bass response. Reminded me strongly of playing as children with tin cans and string.

Other Thoughts: The monitor does what a monitor is supposed to do, and that very well. Building quality speakers into a flat screen television is a challenge, and clearly not one easily solved at the sub-$200 price point. If you want an excellent 22" monitor for watching videos or gaming for a reasonable price, this is s a good choice. Don't rely on the speakers unless you truly do not care about sound quality at all.

Pros: The price is good, and the picture quality is excellent. Being an LED screen means slightly less power consumption as well.

Cons: The built-in speakers are awful, so I took an egg off for that. On the other hand, if you expect speakers built into a sub-$200 monitor to be high quality you're probably setting the bar a bit too high.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the price, but don't use the speakers unless you truly don't care about sound quality.
