The PJD5523w delivers 2,700 ANSI lumens, 3,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with a widescreen 1280x800 WXGA native resolution. video pro 10/23/2012 5:23:50 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5great deal projector Pros: bright even in a room with lots of light, solid color and not bad contrast for a projector in this price range Cons: no lens shifting but that's a small compromise to save loads of money. Besides a proper mount with a swivel will take care of that. Other Thoughts: I use this projector for outdoor video presentations and I have been very pleased with the picture quality. I have had several clients come up to me who had recently purchased expensive 60 inch plus flat screens who were floored when they asked what the unit cost compared to how good the picture was at 100 inches. Also with the current 80 inch free screen offer from view sonic and elite screens or the offer to upgrade that to 100 inches for just a few more bucks, what's not to like? Just buy this deal and start enjoying a true home theater experience. You are not going to find a better deal than this for a wide screen 16.9 setup And don't get caught up in the native 1080p consideration. Reality is that almost nothing is broadcast in 1080p (broadcast is 720p or 1080i for the most part) and if you plan on using a large picture 100 inches or more the pixel difference from the distance you will need to sit back from the screen (10 feet plus) is indistinguishable from 720p and 1080i unless you have superman vision which none of the humans I know have. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Cons: Giving it four eggs as opposed to five because this projector does not come with a lens cover. There's no internal switch or external plastic cover that protects the lens. Zoom, change aspect ratio, colors, input all very easily. 2 Physical dials around the lens for adjusting size and focus. Very bright. It's just a really fun projector. Despite being a business projector, it is very nice for movies and games. I am very pleased with my purchase. Cons: Noise level is mentioned in reviews online. The fan is quiet, and there is a high pitched whirring noise that you can't hear when playing a game/movie. Enough to mention, but it's not that much of a problem. It's very bright and lights up the whole room. I don't mind it but you might if you want a dark room for watching movies. The built-in speaker is not very high quality or loud. It's not useless though. :) Other Thoughts: $467 after savings.
