The VP2765-LED is one of ViewSonic’s new LED Professional Series monitors that utilizes the power of true AMVA panel technology. High contrast ratio and super wide 178/178 degree viewing angles, coupled with 1920x1080 resolution, make the VP2765-LED the ultimate professional grade LCD monitor for medical facilities, scientific design, digital art, video production, architecture and any application where true color and total screen viewing is essential. Features DisplayPort and DVI inputs and 4-port USB hub for cluster free connectivity, ergonomic functions with pivot, height adjust, tilt, swivel and slim bezel make the VP2765-LED an amazing monitor.

AMVA Panel Advanced MVA (multi-domain vertical alignment) technology is one of the highest performance panel technologies available in LCD displays today. The specifications and details of AMVA panel technology are excellent for high accuracy in color, contrast and wide viewing angles. AMVA panels offer excellent picture reproduction and suitable for photography, graphics design, movie production, CAD/CAM engineering, medical and security applications. With AMVA panels, you will not have any color shifts or changes in the contrast ratio when you move the image across the screen or change your viewing angle.
Full HD Resolution VP2765-LED features a 27”, 16:9 widescreen with 1920x1080 resolution that is capable of displaying a native Full HD 1080p image.
LED Backlight The use of environmentally friendly mercury-free LED backlight delivers vivid pictures with improved color saturation, enhanced gray level and up to 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio at reduced power consumption.
Efficiency and comfort Ergonomics is defined as profession of designing tools and work environments to best accommodate human performance and behavior. The VP2765-LED is one of the great examples of an ergonomically designed tool. Based on your height, chair and desk conditions, you can adjust it up and down for 5.3 inches, swivel it 120°, or tilt it 20° degrees, whatever makes you more comfortable. Also, when designing a portrait mode image or a document (such as a flyer or a magazine page), you can rotate the monitor 90° and utilize your 27" screen size at its full extent. You can also adjust your graphics card settings so that all your graphics are rotated 90° as well.
Eco-mode for up to 40% energy savings ViewSonic’s proprietary Eco-mode function comes standard with the VP2765-LED. When you don’t need all of the powerful features VP2765-LED has to offer, you have the option to reduce the monitor’s brightness, save energy, save the planet and prolong the lamp life. You can select one of the “Optimize” or “Conserve” options and save up to 40% energy. Especially under low ambient light conditions, adjusting the brightness will improve visibility by reducing eye fatigue. Reducing brightness will also prolong the monitor’s lamp life, improving your return on investment.
Diverse connectivity The VP2765-LED features a DVI-D digital and a VGA analog input. You can connect two sources at the same time and then toggle between the two by selecting the input source through the On-Screen-Display (OSD). You can also connect one of your computer’s USB ports to the monitor’s USB uplink input which then multiplies the USB ports to four. This way, you can connect up to four USB devices to your monitor and save yourself from the hassle of reaching out to your computer’s USB ports.

The stand lets you adjust hight, swivel, tilt....very nice stand. Monitor has 100 x 100 VESA mount. When i plugged it into my laptop running win7 it came right up perfectly centered. It is very bright so I turned the brightness down a little. Set on 6500 degrees the whites are white and the blacks are black. Cons: There are two for me. One is that the stand feet are very long which in my situation caused the monitor to be too close to where I sit. So I bought a VESA mount and removed the stand. (Excepting the long feet, the stand is really very nice - just did not work for my situation.) The other con is that the adjustment buttons can't be seen when using the monitor as they are under the bottom bezel. So you have to go by feel which can cause mistakes when making adjustments. Cons: Price, but you get waht you pay for and anything that would warrant taking an egg off for. :) Probably not a gaming monitor, I notice some motion blur in Aion, Guild Wars, Quake 3, etc. That I did not see with my VP2250wb. Again nothing that is a deal breaker for me. Other Thoughts: Haven't used it with a display port yet, still waitign on the cable, but DVI looks excellent enough. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful. Did you? That is a major plus. While not perfect in measured values comparing the center, corners, top and bottom, visually its smooth. We use the monitor for digital imaging and web design as one of our services are for color management sales and training. It is bright with deep blacks. After color managing the screen to D55, it looks great. Images are rich, sharp and accurate. Cons: Even though the viewing angle is 178, you want to be head on. Other Thoughts: This monitor offers many valuable features, tilt for desktop publishing, great color for digital imaging and its relatively low cost makes it a great buy.
