5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for the price

Pros: Good quality picture. No dead pixels. Wide horizontal viewing angle
Great for viewing and editing photos, and basic desktop functions.
Good for video and gaming with moderate amounts of motion.

Cons: Some motion blur during higher motion gaming and video watching.
Narrow vertical viewing angle.

Other Thoughts: Other reviews made me iffy about this monitor, but I decided to give it a try anyways. Aside from needing to change the brightness and contrast to my tastes, I've had no problem with this monitor. I'll get back to that later.

For the price, this is a great monitor. I would recommend it for most things, except high motion gaming and video watching, and probably video editing. If you plan to do any of those, and you're bothered by motion blur, I'd recommend a monitor with at least a 120hz refresh rate. You likely won't find a better monitor than this for this price though.

The vertical viewing angle is not as high as the horizontal, but that's a trivial for me since I mostly sit in the same vertical viewing position.

Something I feel I should include, if you're use to using a monitor with a fluorescent backlight, the picture may seem to have a bit more blue a tint than you're use to.

It may also take a little tweaking of the brightness and contrast to get it to suit you. I admit I haven't fully found the exact right settings to suit my eyes, but that's more a problem with me than the monitor itself. Everyone has their own preferences.

Overall I consider this a good monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for offices.

Pros: Bright, crisp, cheap.

Cons: speakers. but we don't use them anyway.

employees get mad when the other guy gets them. if you give the cute girl one, you will be accused of favoritism.

Other Thoughts: We bought about 30 of these for employees.

Not one problem, running about 3 months now. Maybe 1 dead pixel in the whole bunch.

For cubicle-land, these are great. Employees really like them, they make a cheap upgrade. 2 of these beat 3 smaller monitors and simplify the video-card decision.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Monitor

Pros: Beautiful Bright Screen, Good Price

Cons: Slow to turn on, Speakers (but can be ameliorated with equalizer)

Other Thoughts: The screen is big very bright and sharp.
The 1080p video recorded on my Galaxy S3 looks fantastic on this (like a window)
The speakers are like tin cans unless you adjust your equalizer settings in your video card settings.
Just adjust the left (bass) and right(treble) all the way up and push the middle down almost to the bottom (should end up looking like a "V". Adjusted like this it sounds just fine...not like a Bose...but not bad)

1 out of 5 eggsNot Satisfied

Pros: Big screen. Nice sharp picture.

Cons: Screen is white at the bottom and gradients to a mustard color from halfway up to the top. I do graphics work and this is unacceptable. Menu items grayed out and inaccessible. Afraid to waste two weeks waiting for another if I return it and the new one will arrive in the same condition.

Other Thoughts: This is the 3rd item I've ordered from Newegg that has been defective within the last 6 weeks.

4 out of 5 eggsNo DVI Cable

Pros: Nice clean and sharp colors, I like the touch screen no buttons to break.

Cons: I know the description has the VGA cables but it would have been more appropriate for this monitor to have the DVI as the standard.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing Monitor

Pros: Crisp screen, no dead pixels after about 4-5 months. Lightweight; easy to move around. The stand, while looking flimsy, is actually pretty tough. The Monitor doesn't really wobble around unless you TRY to make it (not even minor bumps to the desk will budge it) Have not tried the build in speakers, have no need to.

Cons: This monitor came with junky HDMI cables. The visual on the screen was not the best it could be. Had to order a separate DVI cable. But once it arrived the problems cleared up and it's brilliance shined forth.

Other Thoughts: If this came with a DVI cable standard it would be worthy of a perfect 5 eggs. Built in speakers are powered by a regular speaker jack into the back of your computer and the cord isn't too terribly long enough to do so in most cases.

1 out of 5 eggsJust Got the monitor today- Dead pixel on the right

Pros: value? 159 shipped for a 24" LED- but dead pixel

Cons: I should have listen to the reviews here, i used to have a bunch of viewsonic monitors back in the day and somehow i figured this dead pixel might be 1 out of 50 or so ..well now i have one with a dead pixel. not happy at all.

Other Thoughts: Monitor seems decent color wise- but now i have to start the RMA process i absolutely hate it. i am sure Newegg will take care of me

5 out of 5 eggsBright + Crisp !

Pros: Super bright. Made my other monitor look like an ipod on half brightness compared to one on full brightness. Monitors supposedly lose lamp brightness over time so this is a plus since I had to take the brightness down from 100% and can always put it back up later if needed.
Very vivid and crisp image. I have played games such as Planetside 2, Battlefield 3, Assassins creed 2 + 3, Deus Ex. All comes through great on this monitor. and 24". nice size !

Cons: can't cook breakfast for me
