4 out of 5 eggsZalman Monitor

Pros: A high resolution large screen monitor. When I got it, it was the cheapest 1080p monitor that is at least 20 in. It comes with decent speakers too.

Cons: Sometimes when I turn it on the screen has like red lines going through it but hardly ever. I think it is because I turn it on and off a lot so it may be my fault. It still works nicely and all I have to do is turn the monitor off then back on and it is fixed. or just wait until your log-in screen comes up and it should stop.

Other Thoughts: A good price for a 1080p 21.5 in monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsStill works...

Pros: Had this for more than a year, works great.

Cons: There is no cons what so ever, although Zalman is not known for their monitors. It works fine.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent product!

Pros: Great price, LED backlight, speakers. Full HD!!!, thin, light. Have had no issues with it.

Cons: Lousy speakers, but I don't count that as something that matters. Even if it came with no speakers it would still have been a great monitor for its price.

4 out of 5 eggsBrand new build

Pros: I've just created a new build and this monitor has worked just fine for the price. I mean with $100, you can't really go wrong with 1920x1080!

Cons: Some bars across the screen sometimes, not much trouble really.

Other Thoughts: Build

ASUS M5A97 AM3+ blahblah
AMD Phenom II 965
4GB Kingston 1333 (I think)
EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
Thermaltake tower

4 out of 5 eggsSerious Bang for you Buck

Pros: Great price for the size. Good resolution. Speakers built in (although we never use them).

Cons: We've had a couple dead pixels on about half of the monitors we ordered. The vast majority rubbed out but some of our users are fairly annoyed.

I hate it when manufacturers don't use standard power cables.

Other Thoughts: Bought ~20 to replace some of our old 15 inch LCD's in our office.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Monitor at a Great Price

Pros: A great sized monitor, sleek, looks nice I use it for movies mostly, sometimes gaming. It looked nice out of the box, nothing broken. It's a great size on a quality screen for an astounding price (I picked it up for $99.99 on sale). Menu is easy to navigate, I see many monitors have problems in their reviews with that, this is just a plain and simple "just the basics" kind of menu, so don't expect it to have a button to launch itself and you into the sky. Sturdy stand too, I see alot of other monitors have problems with that.

Cons: Better than most, and quite easy to live with: One Dead Pixel. I've got a green pixel that kinda bothers me, it's only one dead pixel and it's not even near the center of the screen, it's more towards the date + time on windows 7, just above it really. Other than that I have nothing against this monitor.

Other Thoughts: Buy it, I was skeptical because I've never purchased a Zalman product before. However cost effectiveness changed my mind, and it's a great screen overall.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible packaging?

Pros: Price?

Cons: Either terrible packaging or handling take your pick! Came with frony bezel half off, light bleeding in from the edges all around it and a big light spot in the middle the size of a softball! RMA it and didnt reorder.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective on Arrival

Pros: None, arrived defective. Well it was cheep, but now I know why.

Cons: Upon first turing it on, had a large red line down the middle and mutiple dead (Green) pixels all over the screen. WHERES THE QC? Guess thats why its so cheep because there is no QC with this company. Also the monitor as a whole felt very cheeply made. Very flimsy. Not rock solid like the Acer's and ViewSonics I delt with in the past.

Other Thoughts: I'm sticking to more known brands like before from now on. Out of the dozens and dozens of monitors I bought for clients in the past, never had a DOA Acer or viewsonic, or AOC...etc.. Just because its cheep in price doesn't mean you should buy, you are taking a risk. Its costing me over $15 in shipping charges to send it back. That $15 could have gotten me a better Acer monitor w/o issues. Even if it worked fine, I would never buy this brand agian because of how cheep it looked and felt.
